Hit this spot up for the first time. I have to say it's a pretty cool spot. The food was pretty good and the service was decent. They had several televisions playing all the games which was awesome. In fact I wish we arrive a bit later so we could have spent more time watching the game. Had the breakfast burrito and the el pastor was amazing and the verde was ok, more like a salsa if you ask me. We also had the monte cristo, not bad. The strawberries were frozen and sliced. What really could use some improvement is the selection of beer on draft. Mostly mid mass produced beers. This is a reliable sports bar. The food and service are good. We never have a hard I'm dining something to enjoy. Hy also have a nice selection o beer on tap. The indoor space is large and the tvs are plentiful. The outdoor patio is my favorite. While there aren't as many tvs outside, here are enough. Great spot to get a beer with friends and watch a game or play pool. The patio in the summer is amazing and is very dog friendly. The food is typical bar food (mostly deep fried items on the menu) but the chicken wings are amazing. The last time we visited, our server seemed more interested in talking with her friends at another table than actually assisting us. When we told her we wanted to pay and attempted to hand her our card, she didn't take the card and left us confused. We went to pay our bill at the bar instead. I went with a couple of gal pals from work, just to catch up. We sat outside on the patio, which was a little hot, but it was nice too. We switched tables to get out of the sun, as the sun moved, since it wasn't too crowded. Our waitress was helpful and patient with us to. The food was yummy! I didn't get any drinks. Huge place looks awesome, has an upstairs, downstairs, outside, pool tables etc. the outdoor seating was very cute. Our service was pretty slow for a lunch time with not rlly anyone else there... we ordered chips and salsa and had to remind them and didn't get them until we got our food. UNFORTUNATELY their brunch goes until 2pm... and you can't order other stuff on the menu... we went at 1pm hoping to get burgers but could only order from the breakfast menu and 3 other sandwiches. I got a chicken avocado sandwich on ciabatta and it was sliced deli chicken... with guacamole. Very weird. The chicken fingers were even small, disappointing and still a normal price entree. April 25th myself and 3 other patrons attended brick yard bar again for the mammoths game and a Guinness float. It seemed the sun was shining as when we ordered the float the waitress took our order and left. Low and behold 30 mins later she comes back and says the dreaded line "NO ICE CREAM". Based on the photos I thought this was gonna be a super fun spot! There is a lot of parking which is nice, and it's easy to get to. Patio looked cute but it was too cold for us. The inside was actually kind of boring. Just looked like a hole in the wall bar (which isn't always bad thing) but it could definitely use more decor. The waitress was super nice but the beer choices were smaller than I expected and the two appetizers we had were eh. The cheesecurds and the pretzel bites. Been to plenty other places that are much more exciting and with food that leaves you drooling. It did pack up pretty quick! Just for me was nothing extra or fancy. In town for work and saw they were voted the top wings in slc. I got them with the house buffalo and would give a solid 9/10, very good. Wings are my favorite food so when traveling I always try to go to the top places. I would definitely get these again. Buffalo sauce had a good amount of heat and flavor. They were close to fall off the bone but not completely. Also I will say you can only order carry out by literally going there and ordering at the bar. They don't have online ordering and when I called they would not take an order. That's probably the only reason for knocking it to a 4 star rating. I only came for the food and I was not disappointed! I've been wanting to try this place out for years but just barely got around to it. I think this might be my new favorite wing place. Though pricier than most bar food the food is delicious and the quantities are plenty. I love how there are a generous amount of options on the menu but it doesn't feel overwhelming. From a hospitality standpoint the bars cleanliness definitely isn't up to par with what a restaurant should be. That's really my only gripe with the place. The brickyard is a perfectly average bar. Perhaps my wife and I came on an off night where there was short staffing, but our experience was slow service with a non crowded bar at 4:30pm. We had to ask for the check multiple times and were frequently offered orders that were not ours. As for atmosphere it seems like it has potential to be a fun place to come for a drinks and to watch a game as they have multiple TVs and sitting areas. The food we ordered was slightly below average in the fact that the food tasted like it was fried in cheap grease. We ordered the cheese curds, fried pickles, and fish and chips. I would highly recommend avoiding the cheese curds as they were the only thing we felt was below average and couldn't finish them. Overall if you're just looking for a place to watch a game and grab a drink this can be a good spot for you, but if you're looking to eat I would recommend going elsewhere. read more

Food not the best. Drinks are what you'd expect at a sports bar. I ordered chicken tenders and their Cajun fries. The tenders were cold in the center so that was kind of gross. Fries were ok. Atmosphere though is cool. I'd go again for the games and the drinks. Plenty of parking! This is a super fun place to watch the Bills play! The downstairs is decked out in Bills bar and this is the site of the Salt Lake Bills backers. Plenty of TVS to watch the game and decent drinks. We ordered wings, which were very yummy and the fries were crispy and tasty! The chips and salsa were not so yummy. Chips were stale and the salsa was pretty far from a recognizable salsa. Our server was on top of it and I def recommend to watch the Bills game, or any sports games. read more

We were in town for a medical appt. and drive to this spot for lunch at about 1:00. When we walked inside, a podium sign said we should wait to be seated, so we waited. A few tables and a free bar stools had dinners and what appeared to be an employee was working in forms at the end of the bar. Maybe she was on break. Lighting was dim but not so dim that we couldn't be seen. We waited nearly 10 minutes before deciding to go elsewhere, and found a new and great spot in Sugarhouse (more on that one in another review). Too bad; we've been traveling from northern Nevada to SLC for family, skiing, appts, cars, etc. since the 1980s and used to love the Brickyard area. Not going back to this spot, tho. read more

Tried this place last Saturday Sept 20th. In 40 plus years of eating out, I have only not tipped once until we went here. The Utes game was over, their was dirty tables everywhere. Our waiter had no rhyme of reason which table she went to. People seated after us were getting their drinks before ours were even ordered. People were looking around to see where the waitress was as she would walk right past you like she was oblivious. People getting food before earlier seated people had gotten their drinks. Finally my food arrived but not my wife's. Waited a few minutes then asked where hers was. "It's coming". More time goes by and I get up and go find her. She said there is a rush on it now. I asked if her meal was never made. She said no it was but it's still a rush. My meal is cold before my wifes got there. It was a simple burger and fry. Had to ask multiple times for our ticket, again no care's given by her. She finally brings it to our table and has still not asked how our food was, did we need condiments, drink refills. After the credit card sat table side clearly visible for over 10 minutes, I walk inside to pay at the bar. They make the waitress come grab my ticket. Still not a word from her about our meal/experience. Needless to say no tip, and I'm not bragging. I'm done automatically giving a tip. If your service sucks, and you have no compassion why am I obligated to tip you. Food was good, but this gal needs to find a different job. I was looking for dog friendly patios in the Sugar House area this weekend, and saw that Brickyard Bar was known for being dog friendly! I've been wanting to check this place out because I drive by it all the time, and I'm so glad I finally did. I took my three pups here after a hike and sat on the patio - which is HUGE, it's awesome! It was still a little bit on the chilly side this past weekend, but there were a few people sitting outside. The service on the patio was very, very slow. I think it was likely due to being short staffed and it was a bit early in the season to be sitting on the patio. When we were seated, we were told a server would be with us soon. We were sitting and waiting for a server for about 15 minutes before I went inside and asked the hostess if we had a server coming or if we were supposed to order at the bar. Our server came out and was great - he was super friendly to the dogs and brought them treats and water bowls. The inside of the bar was packed and I only saw a couple servers working, so I can only imagine how busy they were. I'm sure in the warmer months they have a dedicated server for the patio area, because it's quite large, but this past weekend they didn't. Because of the short staffing, no one really checked in on us throughout the meal, and I had to go back inside to close out my check with the server. The food was good - I got the veggie wrap, and my friend got the Ute burger. The fries were good and the wrap was delicious. They have a couple vegetarian options like their veggie wrap and vegan wings, but the vegan/vegetarian options are definitely a bit limited. I'm excited to come back in the warmer months to check this place out and hang out on the patio. And definitely going to come back to check out the inside as well, it looks like a fun time!
