I had a severe reaction to the bed bugs, as pictured…read more My cousin reserved a cottage for her, my mom, and I for September 27-30, 2024 so we could attend Ocean's Calling music festival. I woke up on the morning of September 28 with bed bug bites across my hands/wrists, knee, face, neck, and stomach. As you can see in the photos, I had an allergic reaction which necessitated a $300 trip to Urgent Care, 2 shots, and 6 days of medication. We reported this to the property early on the 28th and were told we would receive a full refund. After vacating the property -- which cost an additional $220 in parking fees after we had to find a last minute place to stay -- the manager recanted and said that we would not receive a full refund, but might get a partial refund after they completed their own investigation into the cottage. Nobody came to check on us that morning, and nobody seems to care. Given that there was another review of bed bugs in September -- which unfortunately we did not see as we had booked this in March -- I don't feel that the property is safe or cares about the safety of its guests. Either there are bed bugs in more than one cottage or we were willfully placed in a cottage that they knew had bed bugs. We missed the festival as my blistering was too severe to attend, and I still have widespread blistering on my face and hands that makes it difficult to complete my work or daily tasks. I am on a strict medication regiment all week to try to clear up the inflammation and itching. All of my clothes had to go in the trash. This has been a nightmare. I would never recommend this property.

There's plenty to do nearby in the quaint town of Berlin Maryland. Antique shops, thrift shops, boutiques, cafes, galleries, museums, parks, and historic sites abound. Just a few miles away is Ocean City, which combines beach, boardwalk, and amusement. The office team for check in, check out, and information is terrific!

I plan a spring and fall trip, and always stay at Sun Outdoors. My favorite rv sites are near the beach access and the tiki bar. Their specialty is crushes, fresh squeezed fruit beverages and some evenings there is a live band and a roaring beach campfire. Ahhh, the good life!

My son requests it every year and talk about it for weeks before we go and after. What's so great about it? It is set up like a real Wild West town (and Indian village) they have performances with shoot outs (using blanks) and activities for kids (ax throwing, mining for gold, mechanical bull riding, shooting bow and arrows. And my son (and now daughter's). Favorite part....running around the town shooting at kids with cap guns while they shoot back. This year the actors even stayed around and got into to some pretend gun fits w the kids (would fall over dead as kids shot at them) My kids could have played there all night...they were having the time of their lives This year we went to the water park for the first time and that was a lot of fun too. Getting into frontier town itself is free. But you kind of need to buy your kid a cap gun (or bring one!) and all the activities cost some money. But in my opinion it is a very unique experience you can't get anywhere else. You can't bring coolers or outside food but they do have good, some fun kid drinks, and alcoholic beverages for the grown ups. For people that like camping they also have cabins and campgrounds there....and they run a shuttle to Ocean City which is only 15 miles away. We have never done the camping. We actually usually stay in Rehoboth Bach (an hour away) and drove there for the day (my kids love it that much) OR hit it on our way home. Frontier town has been such a special part of our kid's beach memory making every year! P.S they also have Go Ape and Mini Golf there too.

It's disappointing planning an entire camping vacation to this highly recommended place and come to see people lined up to get in from god knows where to occupy the entire waterpark before the slower than molasses golf cart can get anyone from the campground up to the park. Disappointing. I get wanting to open the water park to the public - but campers should have access hours outside of the normal operations. It opens at 10 and closes at 6. Open at 9 for campers and 11 for public. Close at 6 to public and stay open for campers until 8. 6 is early. Especially in the heat of summer. And the lines on the slides are horrendous. 3 slides 1 staircase.
