4/30/23 This #FoodTruck was at the Luftgekühlt (Luft) 9 event, and was the yummiest looking choice it appeared at the time. Line was similar to the others. Alas.... looks are REALLY deceiving in this case... And Yelp scores are even MORE deceiving. I really have no idea how anyone could be okay with eating mushy textured chicken and soggy batter. It was so disgusting we threw away 2 of the savory cones and only ate the dessert and mac & cheese. To top it off, I ordered for my gf, 3yr old, and had a 3month old with us, so the mommy took everyone to a bench to sit.... and thus, since this was a bunch of food and a drink I asked for a bag. THEY HAD NONE!!! Or a box. Or whatever. They offered a "tray" which I took, but it turns out to be a small baking sheet that only fits a single cone. So, I had to make 3 trips out to my family waiting far away, since this was a busy event. Also, they're REALLY slow, and their truck electricity generator is REALLY loud, and their window dudes are REALLY quiet. So with 20 people waiting for their orders you can imagine how that turned out. Anyway... 1. Sweet Street Cone $12 "whip [their spelling] cream, hazelnut wafer, whole oreos, crushed oreos, marshmallows, chocolate syrup, powdered sugar": Alright, this was good. Dessert in a Chinese-style bubble cone. Can't go wrong, and yeah, they didn't. Tastes like as you'd expect. 7/10 Savory Menu "bubble cone waffle with tender chicken pieces, green onions, crushed pepper and your choice of sauce": 2. Buffalo Cone $12: As I mentioned above, the chicken are like typical "chicken strips" but instead of dry chicken breast it was some kind of in between, with sorta the taste and textured of the ultra-processed chicken in McDonald's chicken nuggets, except with a wet and mushy texture. My guess is it has been thawed and frozen several cycles, which leads to this type of texture in meat. The coating was all mush--not a single crunch would be heard. Absolutely disgusting. We threw the whole $12 cone away. 1/10 3. Mac & Cheese Cone $12: I dunno if they made a mistake, but there's no chicken in this, which turned out to be a good thing. I didn't get to taste it but my 3yr old loved the mac. Kinda a rip for just being mac in a waffle though. Also, the description does not say that there's no chicken, and the Savory Menu sign clearly says it does. So, beware. 3/10 4. Cheesy Plate $15: I ordered a cone, but the cashier insisted I get the plate as she says it's hard to eat. I shrugged--I mean, if it's hard to eat why have a picture of it in a cone on the side of the truck??? Anyway, I did as she asked but I have no clue why they charge $3 more for a box???????? Seems the same to me... which is to say... TRASHED. Same disgusting, inedible "chicken." 1/10 5. Passion Fruit Lemonade: You probably won't find another lemonade so watered down. Pretty bad. Tried the truck a few weeks ago and was hooked. Just found out they had a brick and mortar only 15 mins away from me! Went in today and was greeted by the owner. He's very kind and great with any questions you might have. The food is great and the service is even better. What is a bubble cone? You may ask Wahid when you get to the window and he will explain with delight. My 1st experience tasting a Bubble Cone was it's a Crispy on the outside plushy Bubble Waffle cone in a cup cone outter container with tasty treats you select. It truly is great when it's warm and the ice cream becomes slightly soft. I tried "Sexy" and it was delicious. I selected cookies and cream for my ice cream, strawberries and whip cream in a crispy cone. Wahid is very friendly and patient as you try to figure out your delicious delectable treat. Before I forget, bubble cone also can come with Chicken. Mac n Cheese, Vegetarian, Cheesy, Buffalo just to name a few. I did not taste these as I already ate elsewhere. How we discovered this delight was visiting Imaginarium for the Christmas Lights and the Amusement park, we stop by Bubble Cone for unique tasty dessert. read more

Came here on Friday for Foodieland and found Bubble Cone near the very end of the event grounds. What attracted us to this truck of course was all the pretty delicious looking waffle cones available to order, and all the people holding them posting IG pics. While the line was rather long, the actual wait to get to the front to order probably only took about 20mins. And then another 15mins after that for our order to come out. Since it was the first thing we ordered since coming to Foodieland, we were rather hungry so we opted to go for something savory rather than sweet. We decided on the Siracha Ranch, which consisted of large pieces of chicken pieces covered with ranch and siracha sauce. And all wrapped inside a puffy, waffle cone. The waffle cone itself was very fluffy and delicious. And was definitely our favorite part of the cone itself. And while the chicken pieces were good, I think either siracha alone or siracha ketchup would have been a better mix than siracha and ranch. While we weren't able to visit a lot of vendors at Foodieland due to the long wait times, we were glad that Bubble Cone was one of the ones that we did get to visit! read more

I found Bubblecone in 2021 at a Foodieland event in the bay. When we decided we wanted food trucks at our wedding, I knew I had to have them (and I was willing to pay the travel fee to get them to come from Sac)!! My daughter had tried them and wanted us to try them too. She kept track of where they were and finally saw they'd be in Elk Grove which is about 30 minutes from us. We headed over for lunch and we all loved it. That presentation alone made us want to get one and the variety of choices is pretty darn cool too. I got the chipotle chicken and I really enjoyed it. I visited them as they were leaving and they we kind enough to turn on all of their equipment back on to accolade for my group, despite them potentially running late to their next destination. Their bubble cones are to die for! They have both sweet and savory options. For the sweets, you can choose your ice cream flavor: vanilla, chocolate, cookies n cream, mint chocolate chip, strawberry, and pistachio. Lots of options! They have different styles that offer a variety of toppings too. I tried the Classic: whip cream, hazelnut water, strawberries, crushed Oreos, chocolate syrup, and powdered sugar topped with chocolate ice cream. What isn't there to like about Bubble cone? They're freshly-made egg waffles topped with sweet ingredients like ice cream, fruit, sauces, and whipped cream. Plus, they also offer savory ingredients with fried chicken nuggets and sauces like bbq and sriracha. I've only tried their delicious ice cream bubble cones and they can get get messy but they're a fun treat. I saw their Instagram post that they were going to be a half mile away from where I worked but it was totally worth the walk. Their post said they'd open at 11 am but I got there at 10:40 when there was no line. The friendly and awesome dudes in the truck got my order to me fast. I ordered the Sriracha Ranch plate and it was really good. It had just the right amount of spice. The waffle was soft and the sauce from the chicken went well with it. The drinks on display are different flavors of lemonade. I think they only come in one size, a large. I got a Watermelon flavor. If you add fizz to it with something like a can of Sprite it tastes even better! If they are nearby during the Summertime I'll definitely try their desserts because they look delish! I was intrigued to try out this place when I saw an advertisement for this. Since it is a food truck, it is kind of hard to find out where they will be since they move a lot. I found out that they update their locations on their instagram page, so I went on there and found out their location. They have a variety of flavors and options, which is good. Honestly speaking, the look is good, but the actual flavor was not very good. The egg puff was soft and cold and not very good tasting in my opinion. The egg puff I expected was going to be warm/hot and crunchy. I get it, there will be ice cream in it, so if it is hot, it will melt the ice cream. Either way, I expected it to be warm at least and for it to be crunchy. The egg puff is soft for the folded cone, fine. At least for the one that is laid out, I wished that was at least warm. That was also not warm or hot. Quite disappointed. Overall, I am not sure why this place is good and why it is popular. I have gone to other places in which their egg puff with ice cream is better and more appetizing. read more

I was out and about and received a call from my sister. She asked if I was still in Roseville and if I can stop by the food truck. It was a good thing I stopped by cuz I would have lucked out. I missed eating egg waffles. I used to eat them when I was visiting Hong Kong as it's a very popular street snack. There was a variety of flavors they offered making it hard to choose. I really wanted a little of everything . I like that you got to pick your ice cream. This makes more personalized and fun to build. They don't always have all the ice cream so it can be a bummer, but hey the which ever ice cream you pick still taste great . The egg waffel is a little more dense then I would like, but it also has to help hold up the ice cream. If you don't want the ice cream you can still get the egg waffle by itself. If you are eating for you self I suggest getting the cone size. If you have to share it get the plate. You still get everything as the cone just a little more. read more

Absolutely amazing! I rented out the truck to come to my home for my wife's 36th birthday. They arrived early and it was a surprise to my wife, family and friends. Everyone had on masks and was very happy to serve us. The food was absolutely amazing. Super delicious! We had the savory and sweet menu. The entire meal was phenomenal! We got the build your own cone with butter pecan and green tea. The flavors were okay. Didn't really taste like green tea and the fruit didn't taste as fresh (probably because I came later in the evening). The waffle cones aren't as sweet but I don't really mind. Bubble Cone offers both savory and sweet cones - I opted for a savory cone this time, but I am definitely interested in trying a sweet one next time. I ordered the srirarcha ranch chicken cone. A couple of my coworkers ordered the habenero one and thought that was over-sauced. I think mine was a tad over-sauced, but not as much as theirs was. Maybe next time I would ask them to go light on the sauce. I think the combo of ranch and srirarcha is good. I wish the bubble cone was a tad crispier, or maybe the chicken was crispier? The guys here reflect just how good the food is. I've tried their dessert cones out before, and it was quite nice, but everyone talks about those. I want to focus on both the workers and the savory cones. I was at the Tahoe Park Food Truck mania recently and ordered a raspberry lemonade and the sriracha ranch with added mac n cheese on a plate, as I was planning on bringing it home for a late-night snack or hearty breakfast. Same puffy egg puff waffle, but with perfectly juicy fried chicken and classic mac. However, when I went to get my plate, they gave it to me in a cone. I mentioned that to the worker and he basically said "I got you". With no one in line behind me, I was fully prepared to just pay for another one to go, but the guy was super chill about it and I am really happy about that. Did I mention that these guys LOAD UP their cones (both the savory and sweet) to overload? I had to transfer some of the chicken and mac from the cone to the plate since there was more I wanted to eat at the park. These guys work fast, make good food, and have great customer service. When (not if) I see them again, I know that among all the other stuff I eat, something from these guys will be one of them! read more

Bubble Cone was super delicious! I got a savory cone (Sriracha Ranch) and I would definitely go back and try one of their sweet cones. The chicken was really good and there was lots of sauce. I will warn you, it was pretty spicy (for me, the wimp) but if you can handle spice you'll be fine. The flavor profile is super interesting because the cones are definitely sweet, not salty like a savory crepe would be. I liked it but it might not be the flavor combo for everyone. I had the sexy cone with no whip and it was still messy. Few toppings fell off easily. The ice cream drips from the bottom of the holder.
