I stop by Luciano's Scoop at least once a week, sometimes even on my lunch break from work. Every flavor I've tried has been amazing, you can really tell the ice cream is homemade and made with care. One thing to keep in mind is that the owner is the only person working in the truck. He makes the ice cream, takes the orders, scoops, and handles everything himself. So if there's a line, it might take a little longer, but it's completely understandable. I'd rather wait a few extra minutes for fresh, handcrafted ice cream than get rushed service. My husband and I had really wanted an ice cream vendor for our wedding as it is one of our favorite desserts and date night activity ever since we met. Though not exactly ice cream, Luciano's Scoop had an amazing and extensive list of flavors that really won us over to the gelato side. We decided to go with their mobile vintage gelato cart, which included up to 8 flavors. Their mobile vintage gelato cart was so adorable, and it matched with the pastel and romantic vibes of our wedding this past May. We chose 6 flavors that we really liked (Strawberry, Tiramisu, Chocolate Hazelnut, Raspberry Sorbet, Lemon Sorbet, and Coconut Almond), and most were out by the end of the night. Super delicious gelato and sorbet on this cute little food truck. We were touring some homes in Eldorado Hills today and Luciano's Scoop was at the launch party at Woodside Homes grand opening. I got the raspberry sorbet and it was very creamy in texture and my husband got the vanilla bean which he said was excellent. Every once in a while my place of employment rewards us with surprise appreciation days! Whether it be free goodies, catered lunches, food trucks or even ice cream trucks! This time we got the pleasure of ordering 1 free scoop of Gelato from "Luciano's Scoop"! The truck parked at our back door and stayed for only an hour, so we had to drop what we were doing to get in on the free desserts! They had a nice selection of Gelatos on hand to choose from. I ordered a coffee chocolate chip and it was creamy, smooth and just the right amount of crunchy chips and sweetness. Pumpkin pie gelato...yes, there is such a thing, and I have found it at this great little food truck. I.LOVE.IT. I am so lucky that Luciano's Scoop drops by my workplace now once a week (generally on Tuesday)! It's a cute little truck run by the nicest guy. It's $5 for a regular size, and $6.50 for a large size. The portions aren't huge, but because it's gelato, which is more dense, your serving lasts longer than you think it would. Now, as you can tell, I'm hooked on their fabulous pumpkin pie gelato, which comes with bits of graham cracker crust mixed in, and it is soooooo good! But there's also stuff like blueberry lavendar sorbetto and espresso drinks. Trust me, there's a flavor out there you'll be enamored with, or at least have the urge to try. So, if you happen to see the Luciano's Scoop ice cream truck/van, stop by and give 'em a try. Decided to stop by on my break at work one day and ordered their mango sorbet and vanilla bean gelato. I wasn't too happy with the portions they provided here. For $5, I was handed two super tiny scoops of gelato, which pretty much melted by the time I walked back to my desk. :( The mango sorbet in my opinion was sour; couldn't taste much of the mango flavor since the sourness was a bit overpouring. The vanilla bean was great, very creamy and full of vanilla flavor in every bite! However, I didn't find anything spectacular about this place. I would probably try this place out the next time they're around, perhaps one of their fruit smoothies. Everyone deserves a second chance, including food trucks! :) read more

Love, love, love Luciano's Scoop! I think Huey (owner) being so nice certainly helps the experience. He comes by our work once a week (typically Friday) and it's the best day of the week. He emails and lets us know he is coming and the menu for the day. It's $5 for a regular and about $6.50 for a large. I think it's perfect portion sizes because of all of the flavor in the gelato. I love the diverse flavors that he has available. From coffee toffee, to mango sorbet, hazelnut, and my favorites pumpkin and apple pie. Huey also has different coffee and espresso available thats also delicious. Probably one of my favorite food trucks! Give them a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

Um wow. Just wow. The Blueberry Pinot Noir gelato has got to be one of the best desserts I have ever tried! Tangy, sweet, and just a hint of the pinot. Being pregnant, I appreciate that something is able to satisfy my tart craving AND make me feel like I am squeezing in a glass of wine. Without being a negligent mom and all. "Regular" portions are two scoops which is more than enough for this prego, without making me feel like I am going to die afterwards. They are also one of the rare food trucks that carries Mexican Hot Chocolate! Cinnamon and chocolate...AH-MAY-ZING!
