No wait but moderately busy, restrooms immaculately clean. Menu descriptions are fantastic. perfect customization of a traditional breakfast menu... with traditional items available.. My husband and I had two opposite experiences this morning at Breakfast Bar…read more My husband ordered the Pancake Combo ($19). His eggs were just the way he likes them - soft and fluffy, like the egg whites have been whipped. Pancakes were also very delicious with good flavor and fluffy height. The pancakes had a brown butter topping that he really liked, didn't even need syrup. Sausages didn't seem homemade but were very tasty. I ordered the Eggs Noni ($18), which is a version of Eggs Florentine, plus a side of bacon. The Eggs Noni came on two pretty hard small sourdough discs. I had difficulty cutting through the crust with a knife. There is a lot of cayenne in their hollandaise sauce, not my favorite version. The thick slice of tomato was the highlight. Side of bacon $6 for two measly pieces - overcooked and too crunchy. I could tell the bacon would have been good if it was more on the meaty/chewy side. This came with a potato pancake which was like mashed potatoes mixed with cheese and then fried. Service was okay, I think because it was pretty busy. They may need more staff to help the servers with drink refills and to check in more frequently. Lastly, our table was very wobbly and we had to fix it with sugar packets otherwise our drinks would have toppled.

It wasn't until the second person i was with had to come in the establishment confirming the information that I had already given to her when she finally decides to look at other orders in the system and sure enough there was my order. I did not appreciate the attitude or unwillingness to help.

After my first trip I was like, this place is so good, I bet it closes...as most good things in DTLB do. Sure as @&$!, I went back 2 months ago having placed an on-line order, and they were literally clearing out the restaurant! I was like WTF?! The had a sign outside that said they were Re-Opening the next week, which they did - under new ownership - and they're once again pumping out Scratch Kitchen gloriousness. I'm a sucker for eggs and bacon, but they also have bennies - which is basically biscuits, gravy and your choice of deliciousness. You can also have a burrito, but if there's biscuits, what's the point? This is now my first choice for breakfast food in the area.

~~ LONG TIME CUSTOMER ~~…read more So i've been coming to The Attic for a long time. It's a cute vibe and the food was always good. The aesthetic is AWESOME. It's right in Belmont and one neighborhood away from the water. Great date place and bar too. 2026 update: This breaks my heart. The menu has changed, the chef has definitely changed and service has unfortunately gone down. First off they cut a good portion of the menu and the physical design is not the easiest to read. (that's not really a problem tbh but it's something to note) What is the problem are the following: Ordering food for 3 took 20 minutes for servers to come, get food, and water + drinks we ordered. food took almost 45 minutes to arrive at the table. I get the kitchen makes a lot of stuff but this is crazy. at this point we were here for over an hour without eating. Not only were the orders wrong but also food portions were noticeably smaller. Credit due here, they fixed that (ofc which takes an extra time). Final straw here: To get someone's attention, get the bill, then for them to come get the bill, pay, and give us our cards back took: TWENTY MINUTES. Just to pay. tldr: food prices went up, staff not attentive, food still decent but different chef. Food is noticeably saltier. This place is still cute and servers as a great bar but oh my gosh has it gone down hill. Full context half the restaurant was empty. we are so disappointed. this place used to be great :(

I heard about Country Kitchen through Long Beach Food Scene and was impressed by its Yelp reviews,…read moreso I decided to give it a try. I ordered the ABC omelette with home potatoes and upgraded the bread to a granola pancake for an additional $4. I had been wanting to try their famous granola pancake, so I was happy they allowed the substitution. The portions were generous and easily enough for two people. The ABC omelette was delicious. It had plenty of bacon pieces, just the right amount of cheese, and the avocado on top was fresh and flavorful. I requested the home potatoes well done, and they came out perfectly crispy on the outside and great with ketchup. The star of the meal was definitely the granola pancake. I can see why it's one of their most popular items. It was one of the best pancakes I've ever had. Topped with bananas, blueberries, granola, and almonds, it had a unique combination of flavors and textures that I've never experienced before. I would absolutely come back just for the pancakes. The customer service was excellent as well. Everyone was friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. Next time, I plan to dine in.

I was wondering if they will be able to deliver that more of a home field rather than corporate breakfast places but we all know so well. I was greeted by warm staff that look like my friends Moms got together to make sure that they feed their kids. Everybody smiled and everybody cared, and it was really good filling to be around them. The prices were seemingly reasonable, considering that omelette was almost $16 and it came with everything you would expect omelette to come with. Home potatoes were delicious as well! The atmosphere inside is humble and very clean, with rather regular booths, that are easy to get in and out, with some curtains on the windows that had that warm country feel. I really love this place, I will surely go back there, and I suggest you will give them a chance!

Parking: Free in the small lot in the back. If the lot is full, you can usually find nearby street parking. Service: Excellent! Our server, Jairo, was prompt and very friendly. Dogs: Allowed on the patio. No restrictions on them having to be under the table or otherwise hidden. We had the corner table at the front which my girl loved because she solicited pets from people through the little fence and had plenty of room to stretch out. Food: I ordered the Grand Prix omelet with super spuds and biscuit and gravy. Everything was hot and most of it was delicious. My only complaint was that I felt like the gravy has changed since my last visit. I used to love it but this time it was thinner, not as flavorful, and had an almost see-through quality to it. Not sure how to describe it, but I wouldn't order it again. The biscuit was good, though. My girl got scrambled eggs and bacon and they cut up the bacon, much appreciated! Everything I've had here over the years is good, including their pancakes, fruity pebble french toast, and curly fries! We will be back for another patio visit soon. :)
