After a terrible experience last time, it's been a couple of weeks and thought I would give it another try. (Might've just been a bad day last time). It turns out out it's always a bad day for this restaurant, My wife was going to be passing by - so placed a pick up order for her. After I fought with the app, I got the order in for pickup & paid with Apple Pay, & saw the transaction popped up on my screen. Then 15 minutes later my wife called. No order was in my name. Could I find the confirmation they sent to my email? Not there. No txt. And although an Apple Pay transaction popped up on my phone at the time of order, there were no authorized transactions showing on my recent history. So no order? My wife went to McDonalds. Whether it's for a quick to-go order or a casual dine-in, this location is always busy, with easy self service kiosks you place your order at. Service is usually pleasant and food comes out when it is promised. I love that they have a drive thru - no need to step out of your car to pickup your shack stack like at other locations in metro Atlanta. And when we have the dog with us after the dog park, we enjoy our burger on the dog friendly outdoor patio - especially during the spring, summer or fall months! Sometimes, the servers come around and bring my pup free treats, too! Inside, they have tv's that even show some sports games. Also how has it been so many years of my life chowing down on delicious shack burgers before i realized that Shack Stacks are EVEN BETTER. This was our first visit to Shake Shack, and overall, it was a solid experience. I ordered the Double ShackBurger, and my wife tried the Bacon Avocado Burger--minus the bacon, plus pickles. Both sandwiches were fresh, well-prepared, and hit the spot. I was especially pleased to be able to request my fries without salt. They were basic crinkle-cut fries, but cooked just right--crispy and hot. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated. There was a floor attendant on duty who was very attentive, though his approach was a bit abrupt when we asked for extra ketchup and napkins--he wanted a specific count, which felt more intense than expected. Still, it's better to have too much attention than too little. We arrived around 11:30, and by noon the staff was just starting to change shifts. I went back up to order a shake while my wife was still eating, and that part of the experience was slower than expected. Only one person was working the milkshake station, and it took noticeably longer to get the shake than it did to receive our food order. All in all, we're giving Shake Shack 4 stars. The food was tasty and fresh, but the service could use a bit more polish--especially with staffing during a busy Saturday lunch hour. Ordered on the app and it would be around 15 minutes to pick up through the pick up lane. When they notified it was ready I was a line of cars which is unusual. The fries were just ok but were elevated by the truffle sauce (which comes on the side) and has a lovely kick without being overpowering or tasting artificial. The burger is average. Everything is all a carte instead of combos so you can pick and choose what you want to order.
