    Colombian Coffee Shake

Checked this spot out as it was close by. Awesome spot to grab quick lunch / dinner and reasonably priced. Service here was very friendly and the gentleman that rung us up was very helpful and accommodating as we were a bit indecisive. Plenty seatings indoor and nice shaded patio outside. The burger was absolutely delicious and definitely hit the spot. The burger was juicy and flavorful. Got some onions, jalapeños, mushrooms, cheddar, pickles on it. We got it on Texas Toast, in which wasn't bad, but I'd go for a traditional brioche bun next time. We also ordered the Chicago Dog, which had relish, onions, peppers, pickles, and mustard. Good, but not something I'd go out of my way to get. Would stick with the burgers here. We also ordered two of their shakes, black & white and Colombian coffee. I love that the shakes were thick and not runny as you get them. Even though I absolutely love coffee, I'd skip the Colombian Coffee Shake. The Black & White was on point and stronger in flavor which I liked.

We had dinner there on 1/30/2025. My wife had burger on a plate with fries. She loved the burger, well seasoned. The burger was slightly over cooked but very tasty. Fries were nice and crispy. I had the Ring of fire burger and a coney dog. The ring of fire burger was very tasty. The burger itself was slightly over cooked but very tasty. All the components on the burger worked nicely together. I loved the coney dog. Who wouldn't love a hot dog with chili, mustard and onions. My only critique of the coney dog is I would have liked a little more heat in the chili. Overall a very tasty chili dogs.

To be direct-Proportion was off and the charred outside of the beef was bitter and it was more well-done than medium i ordered. The blue cheese was too salty, of low quality. Could barely taste or unnoticeable the very small piece of lettuce, tomato was equally thin but lots of onions. As a result, it was a very salty & bitter burger. Fries were okay but nothing special about it. I kept trying to find a good bite but, nah, not going back.

First time at this place. I had heard the burgers were good as were the shakes. Had early lunch on a Saturday. Large seating area and order and serving line(s) are clearly marked. Staff were friendly and took my order immediately. I went with the Traditional Cheeseburger and saw they had a Chicago Style Hot Dog that I had to try. Also got an order of french fries and a chocolate shake. I have to say the Fries and Shake were delicious. I did enjoy the Chicago Hot Dog. The hot dog (all beef hot dog) tasted awesome and they provide what I am used to (relish, tomato, celery seed, and peppers). I have to say it was my favorite of the meal. The Cheeseburger was not great. The burger had been burnt or grilled too hard. Not sure if others had the same burger experience. i'd come back for the Chicago Hot Dog, Fries and Shake. Maybe I'll try again during the summer months. Hopefully others had a better experience with their burgers (there were other burger selections on the menu).

I was excited to try a local fav! They've won awards over the past few years. Restaurant is located in a strip mall. Loved the cute, personalized items around the space. Asked the order taker what he prefers. He said the hot dogs were all beef and were good. Ordered a coney Hot Dog with cheese. Unfortunately, the fries were the best part of the meal. They were hot and crispy while the dog was cold and lacked the chili needed for a good coney. There were more onions than chili. While bun was toasted, the hot dog should have been browned on the griddle too. Next time, I'll try a burger since it's in the name. . .

Our first time ordering from here and the burgers were amazing! They were HUGE and juicy and very flavorful! The buns were soft and fresh as well as the toppings! I ordered the BLT burger with a 7oz angus burger, no shacksauce, and with an added fried egg as well as some avocado. Oh my, it was SOOOO DELICIOUS!!!!! My friend ordered the create your own burger with the 7oz angus beef burger with provolone, grilled mushrooms, bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes. That too was super SCRUMPTIOUS!! We also got an order of loaded tots without the scallions and they were amazing!! Just YUMMY DELICIOUS all the way around!!!

My burnt to a crisp burger. Dogs not going to even see this one.

Waited for almost 40 minutes for our burger and it's just ok. The burger is greasy and nothing extra ordinary. Five Guys is way better IMHO.

Ask the Community - The Burger Shack- Ashburn

    Do they serve beer?

They do not. They don't appear to have a liquor license. It's a simple cafe type place with tables and a couple of TVs.

Does anyone know if the fries at this establishment are gluten-free? Most specifically, do they cook any gluten-containing ingredients in their fryers?

Yes the fries are gluten free.. We have a designated fryer for the fries.

A normal person looks at a hamburger and asks, "Would you like cheese on that?" The people at MELT apparently look at one and ask, "How can we make this so extraordinary that customers begin questioning whether everything they previously called a burger was actually just meat occupying bread?" I ordered the Paris Burger: Premium beef char-grilled with roasted garlic, then topped with melted French Brie, balsamic-glazed onions, baby spinach, and a smear of Dijon mustard on a house-made bun. This ingredient list sounds less like a hamburger and more like several upscale appetizers became trapped in an elevator and decided to form a government. I do not know what kind of inspired nut job first assembled this combination, but everything contributes to everything else. The Brie, roasted garlic, sweet richness of the balsamic-glazed onions, spinach, and Dijon do not compete for attention; they cooperate with suspicious precision. The flavor is exquisite. This should not be placed in the same category as ordinary burgers unless the category is titled "Round Foods That Technically Contain Beef." And then there is the bun. Most hamburger buns eventually choose one of two career paths: Damp sponge or roofing material. This one rejected both. It was cooked to that nearly mythical point between soft and soggy, firm and crunchy. It supported the burger without collapsing, disintegrating, or scraping the roof of my mouth like an edible Brillo pad. Perfection. For a side, I ordered the sweet potato fries. They were already very good, which apparently was considered insufficient by the resident mad scientists. Someone had the completely unreasonable idea of serving them with marshmallow fluff. Marshmallow fluff. With sweet potato fries. This sounds like a suggestion made at 2:00 a.m. by someone who should have been politely escorted away from the kitchen. Instead, that person may be a genius. The combination is incredible. The salty sweet potato fries dipped in marshmallow fluff produced one of those moments when your brain objects on principle while your hand quietly reaches for another fry. This proves that not every insane idea is crazy; some merely require dipping sauce. I also had the Thin Mint shake, which was excellent except for the only legitimate complaint I could manufacture during the entire meal: It came with an ordinary straw. Every attempt to drink it became a small plumbing emergency when a piece of Thin Mint lodged in the opening. Sip, blockage, investigate, clear obstruction, repeat. I was not drinking a milkshake so much as performing routine maintenance on a delicious cookie pipeline. A proper milkshake straw would eliminate the one defect in an otherwise outstanding operation. This was not merely a good meal from a burger joint. It was a culinary experience disguised as casual food. The Paris Burger was phenomenal, the fries and marshmallow fluff were an act of benevolent madness, and even my complaint involves the shake containing too many actual pieces of Thin Mint to pass through standard beverage infrastructure. MELT is almost worth traveling to Virginia for by itself. If the people running this place are insane, nobody intervene. Whatever treatment would make them normal might ruin the menu.
