I'm going to do a 2 part review on this one. So I tried The Burgers in Lenoir City for the first time and in a total coincidence, friends took me to the other location in Powell the very next day. What are the odds?? In Lenoir City, with such a clever restaurant name, I had to try the burger. I ordered the Knox Burger, which has Swiss cheese, Mayo, pickles, caramelized onions, and mushrooms. I thought the patty was substantial and very well seasoned and I loved the light, fresh bun. However, there was so much grease it ended up being the soup I never ordered. Wife and eat here regularly, they had a Cuban sandwich as their monthly special (some needs to tell them what a Cuban is first apparently) sandwich wasn't terrible just not made correctly as I've had several in other areas, including several Cuban restaurants. First time here, our business networking group had an event. I'm not a fan of burgers(HH sure is) and I was so pleased to learn they had fried shrimp! No whimpy dishes here. All burgers are served with huge sides of chili cheese fries or onion rings and a LARGE serving it is. I could only eat half for lunch and took the rest home for breakfast the next day. Our server was April who took care of us like family. She definitely enjoyed her job and talked about the restaurant as if she owned it. It was such a pleasure to have her serve us. At meals end, she tempted us with banana puddin' and Chicago style cheesecake but that will have to wait until our next visit; and there will be a next visit. I haven't tried other burgers in town. Although heavy on the carbs with lots of fried foods, this funky little restaurant serves up one of the best burgers in the area. It's loaded with medium-rare, medium or well-cooked beef and served on hearty buns that don't fall apart, even when they're loaded with onions, tomatoes, pickles, cheese, eggs or however you like them. Generous sides come with the meals: fries, coleslaw, beans and more. They also offer fried chicken on buns, tenders, fish and pork. There's soda, tea and beer -- and I spotted a cocktail menu out the corner of my eye when exiting. They even have live music on the patio in the spring and summer when weather permits. Friendly servers with smiles wait the tables as well. This time, I ordered a Knox burger with Swiss, onions, pickles and Mayo (sans the mushrooms). A tad on the salty side yet yummy as ever. A boatload of fries overflowed on my plate, which I took home to pop in my air fryer later. The spouse also ate a burger topped with tomatoes, onions, cheddar cheese, bacon and pickles (sans the fried egg). No complaints except also on the salty side. My wife and I decided to try this place a second time tonight having first visited several years ago. We each ordered burgers - she the Black and Blue and me the CP Burger. She asked for medium well and got medium rare. The CP burger has way too many things going on and tasted like a confusing mess. Be sure to note it comes with beef chili on it. I didn't and definitely regretted that! Service could have been better. Kind of annoying to have to ask to have our plates cleared as dessert was dropped between our finished dinner plates (and after they weren't cleared when we placed the dessert order!) I have visited this restaurant many times over the years. It is one of the best burger restaurants in East Tennessee. On a recent visit I ordered a low carb lettuce wrapped cheese burger. It was the best burger I have ever had. It came with fresh lettuce, lots of pickles, beautiful and flavorful tomatoes, and a properly seasoned and cooked burger. Fantastic service and good food here. I've actually told multiple people about how great our experience here was already. My husband, three-year-old, and I came here for dinner on Saturday night and were seated on the patio without a wait. We got the fried dill pickles, a couple beers, collard greens, burgers and fries, a chicken sandwich, and some super delicious banana pudding. Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal and we will purposely go back on Saturdays just so we can have her as our waitress again (wish I would have gotten her name!). She was super sweet and made great recommendations- she even went out of her way to let me try the collard greens with malt vinegar on them since I had never had them before-- probably my new favorite thing! There were more fries and onion rings than we could tackle. The menu has chicken, dawgs, salads, and more. The banana pudding looks delicious but I just couldn't after eating that huge burger.
