Top quality meat. Did get a whole lamb shoulder for me on request. Great non- meat products…read morealso. Added bonus excellent BBQ next door.

I've heard about this place before and was super excited to try it today while in the area. The…read morespot is super cute and definitely feels like a cozy neighborhood Italian butcher shop. They have lots of fresh beef cuts, as well as some prepared food options like chicken cutlets and pastas. All of which looked great and like the perfect option to grab on a late night when you don't fully feel like cooking but want a homemade made. They also have a pretty nice wine selection, some baked goods (mostly cookies), and a cooler full of homemade soups, marinades and sauces. That seemed like the coolest part to me. You could buy your meat there and even buy the marinade in case you wanted to coon the dish a little later. I got the Kytana sandwich, which has smoked there, bacon, avocado, Russian dressing and arugula on a brioche bun with caraway seeds. The flavor of the sandwich was pretty good, although the turkey did taste pretty salty. I know that can sometimes happen with smoked meats, but this felt like a lot to me. My friend got the bbq short rib sandwich which looked delicious. It was on a hoagie roll and had pickles, red onion and cheddar cheese. The bbq sauce was really light, kind of seemed like a bbq gravy, but it was really tasty. I also got a pumpkin snickerdoodle cookie which was tasty. Service was super friendly and comfortable. The docs is very clean and looked like it has a lot of high quality ingredients, etc. I'd definitely return to try another sandwich of something for their adjacent smoke shop. If I cooked more and lived nearby, I could see myself picking up a nice steak here to make at home.

If I am in the Willowick area I will usually try to stop by Sweetberry Fresh Market to see what I can find. Sweetberry is a medium sized market with a large selection of produce and fruits, a full deli counter, butcher counter, bakery, groceries and prepared foods. Once you have parked you get your first taste of what is best and freshest since they have a display of vegies on sale on the side and front porch; which is open in the summer and covered in the winter. Inside you find a tightly packed market which is usually packed with people. The staff does a nice job of keeping things moving, but it can get a bit overwhelming and slow at times. I usually concentrate on the fruits and vegetables; prices are moderate, although I can usually find good deals on the sale items. For me I can pass on most of the other food, while they have a freezer of frozen fish and seafood, there is no fresh seafood. Most times I visit Sweetberry while the selection is good between the crowds and the prices, I either leave with nothing or just a couple of items. If you are in the area Sweetberry is a good alternative to the grocery stores, but probably not worth a special trip.

They have your usual produce as well as some interesting finds like dragonfruit, papaya, mangoes, and fun melon varieties. Their prices for staples like carrots and potatoes cannot be beaten! They do have varieties of meats as well, including Amish chicken. They carry Amish fry pies too, sometimes from Der Dutchman! We also love the fancy pastas available, and that they carry Original Bagel company bagels from Bohemia, NY (this New York girl is very particular about what she calls a good bagel!). We've been going here since before my baby girl was born in 2025, and we've been bringing her along with us since she was an infant. The staff recognizes her and is always so friendly and sweet with her, and she always enjoys shopping with us and picking out an 'emotional support fruit' to carry along on her shop. It IS important to note that the store is on the small side and that the aisles are quite narrow. It can also be packed during peak hours, so you just need some patience. It's worth it!
