Love this food truck and it is even better when they show up at your work, and work buys you lunch! I ordered the Butcher's 3-way, which is three sliders of your choice. I got one that was a meatball with mozzarella, one that was chicken breast with mashed potatoes and gravy, and one that was brisket with macaroni and cheese. All three were delicious! I was also amazed that they were so quick for as busy as they were. It took less than 6 or 7 minutes for me to get me food. How does one rate ambiance at a food truck? Hard to say other than the surrounding area of their food truck had a good vibe of happy people eating great food!

This was my first time trying The Butchers Son. Saw them parked at the park with other food trucks. I had the veggie quesadilla and it was absolutely delicious. Service was fast and I think it was priced well for the size. Can't wait to try more from this place.

3 sliders and a coney dog

What a fun find! Happened upon the food truck outside a park randomly in Dallas. We tried several things, my partner had the coney dog and loved it! I grabbed 3 types of sliders and we shared and both really enjoyed! Mac n beefy, southern hospitality, and southern bell. Highly recommend! The southern bell has a unique flavor that compliments the chicken so well! A must try.

This food truck is delicious, I got the mac and cheese bowl with the brisket and it was so delicious, perfect portion. My boyfriend got the Cajun Yankee and he loved it! The food came out really fast as well! Would come back! Beautiful views of the city of Dallas.

Stopped here while at Klyde Warren. I got the 3 sliders meal which I picked the Mac n Beefy, Southern Hospitality and The Longhorn. The Southern Hospitality and Mac n Beefy were my favorite. Small but they were so good. I got my son the corn dog meal with wedges. The wedges were so good and seasoned.

An intoxicating bite of rich cheesy paste and smoked brisket to brighten up any day. Food came out quick from the truck and the service was friendly. We were walking around the park and came across this truck which pulled both of us in. Enjoyed our afternoon with this great bite to eat!

Took a one day trip to downtown Dallas from the 'burbs and see all the museums. It was just the better half and me. Klyde Warren Park food trucks was on our to do list but rain was moving in. So we decided to try and beat the rain. Got there ahead of the rain and most of the big crowds on a Saturday seemed to be scared off from a little water. So we decided on The Butchers Son truck. Line went quickly and got up to order. Not sure if he is the owner or manager but the guy that took our order was very outgoing and a slight sarcastic chatter back with me. In fun and I enjoyed the bantering. I ordered the Ralph's Reuben Brat and my bride ordered the combo sliders with : Mac'n'Beefy, Mama Mia and Dead Elvis. We split an order of the tots that comes with grilled onions, pulled bbq and cheese. We got our order pretty quick. My sandwich was amazing! The tots were sinful! So many flavors that lit up your palate. There was a mixup with hers and she didn't get her Mama Mia which is the meatball slider. Instead she got the Southern slider but it was scrumptious. High quality food and really not expensive. The Dead Elvis is a great dessert with peanut butter, Nutella and bacon. We need to go back to try the rest of these sandwiches!

    Chicken Quesadilla

Stopped by the food truck at Klyde Warren Park for a quick work lunch not expecting much. The chicken quesadilla was DELICIOUS! Super flavorful and the meat was juicy. The cashier also pronounced my full first name (which is pretty complicated) when calling out my order which was a small but cute gesture.

The Mac and Beefy was delicious as well albeit a little difficult to eat with that big square of Mac and Cheese!

The tacos here are always so delicious! Such a unique location, right in the middle of Dallas.read more

Fuel City used to be a reliable local staple for a quick meal, but it has completely gone downhill…read more It has always been sketchy due to being right next to the jail, but it used to at least be tolerable for a cheap, late night bite. Now, there is absolutely zero reason to pull in here. Between the sketchy crowd, overpriced convenience store items, and garbage food safety, it is a complete rip off. I actually like their tacos, but the price increases have made them completely not worth it anymore. Eating 7 tacos pushes you over $20, which is sit down restaurant territory for some quick grab and go food. For the price of each taco, you will get two layers of tortilla with a sprinkle of meat and onion. Let's do the math: for the price of just two of these tacos, I can go to In N Out and get a Double Double. That gets me two 100% pure beef patties packing 37 grams of actual protein, and I will leave completely full. What am I supposed to do with two Fuel City tacos? Use them to fill the spaces between my teeth? Also, skip the snacks inside. They price gouge like crazy! Sometimes nearly 2x what you would pay at 7-Eleven or Tom Thumb (which are not even cheap to begin with). Last time I checked, a bag of Hot Cheetos here was 6 bucks! For perspective, they are $3.97 at Walmart and $4.79 at Target. It is a total rip off. The final straw was the horchata. I bought two cups at 6:00 PM, drank one, and put the second straight into the fridge. By midnight, it had completely curdled and turned sour. It was clearly spoiled and at the end of its shelf life when sold, and it gave me a case of the runs later that night. This place survives solely on ancient hype, out of town truck drivers, transients who do not know the area, and nighttime biker meet ups. No local should pay a massive premium for gas station tacos and food poisoning when authentic neighborhood taquerias and actual burger joints offer real value for a less money.
