SOOO good! Went here for a date night before heading to the park to watch the planes fly over. The tacos are fresh and just amazing. We both got the three taco plates that include a fountain drink. I decided to give it a try. *IMPORTANT NOTE* Order from the gas station counter and then take the receipt over to the person at the food counter. My order was ready in less than 5 minutes. I ordered the 3 Taco Plate with 2 steak tacos and 1 Trompo (pork/ Al Pastor). It came with rice, beans, and a drink. To be honest, the steak itself didn't have much flavor but once topped with the red (spicy) salsa and green (savory) salsa it was fantastic. The Trompo taco was fabulous. It was well seasoned! Omg! The BEST trompo tacos!! Bachman is a hidden gem located near the Love Field area. The trompo tacos are the only thing I get here because they're so delicious I don't want to try anything else. I just want to load up on all the trompo. It's a little intimidating if you don't speak Spanish but basically you walk into the gas station, tell the cashier (right side) how many tacos you want then you walk all the way over to the left where the tacos actually are and give them your receipt. Upon walking towards the taco side of the gas station, you'll see the huge vertical work of art that is trompo meat. So juicy. So tender. So flavorful. And the salsa is bomb! Awesome, awesome place!! I stopped by this little hole in the hall at midnight after my flight, and it was just what I was looking for! The trompo/al pastor tacos were delicious! They don't skimp on the meat, and the tacos are pretty large, especially when compared to other "street taco" places I've been to. It's tucked away in the gas station and you pay at the regular register and then take your receipt to the taco area. I'd highly recommend trying this place out! Great place to get tacos! I've passed by this are for thrift store shopping many of years, but never thought about eating here until today. It's similar to 24 /7 taco, where you pay the gas station clerk and then hand the receipt to the cook. I ordered trompo, Barbacoa, and lengua. All three of them were delicious! The trompo was the highlight of the meal. I was skeptical at first when the cook shaved off some Pastor and then slapped it on the grill. I figured it should be ready to eat the moment he scraped it off the spirit, but then I didn't care after I had my first bite. Grill actually gives it an extra char that further defines the texture. The meat itself had a wonderful flavor. They marinated it with a robust, savory profile. The meat itself was tender and juicy counter without feeling overly greasy. The lengua was tender enough that it collapsed into mush after contact with my teeth. I liked how the pieces stayed solid until first chew. Otherwise, they make good lengua. The barbacoa has some dank to it, which was much appreciated. It had a good combo between moist with water, along with greasiness. I don't think I've ever received so many onions in my life at a Mexican restaurant. Not only do they serve a heaping pile of grilled onions, but they also provide a fistful of onions, with a small amount of cilantro. I thought it was interesting that they served hey roasted Serrano pepper as opposed to a jalapeño pepper. The tortillas are not anything special, but I love the butter they dip the tortillas in. They only serve green sauce, but it was absolutely fantastic. I was not prepared for the symphony of flavor, along with a bombastic percussion section of spiciness. The first thing that hits me is the full body of the poblano pepper? They have in the sauce. In the high notes, it's limey and refreshing that feels like a bird soaring high in the sky. The spiciness stomps its way in with such aggression that I thought it was going to be too much. But after a while, it toned down. Overall, it felt so fresh and homemade that I was transported to an Abuela's cocina. read more

It's nice to get in and out without having to go inside a restaurant sit and deal with waiters, etc. Trompo and carnitas are both pork, and both so good. Heaven on a tortilla!! The best, most delicious and authentic trompo pastor, excellent price, super fast. I doubt you will find a more delicious pastor taco anywhere on Earth. This is inside the Chevron and you pay at the Chevron register first, then take your receipt to the taqueria counter. Haven't tried their other tacos, but the trompo taco is awesome! It is a proper pastor taco in that it is cooked on the upright spit, as pastor was meant to be. Delicious and open all night! Load up on trompos and salsas Verde y Rojas. On average, this is also the fastest service of any taqueria Ive been to. Went to Mexico City two years back and since then, I've mostly been disappointed with Dallas tacos. This damn spot took me back and restored my faith in Dallas tacos. Corn tortillas were really good and not falling apart. Meat was seasoned really well and balanced. They prepped the plate with uncooked diced onions and cilantro, grilled onion, juicy ass limes, and some sort red ringed vegetable. Both salsas were smooth and not too thick or liquidy with a lot of taste! Been a Yelp user for a long time but don't leave reviews. This spot got it. RESPECT!!!! read more

Fact : it's part of a gas station. Fact : it seats about 8. Fact : there are no less then three taco murals inside. Fact : you have to pay at the gas station counter then go to the food stall area. Conclusion : if you can get over the fact it's small and part of a gas station your in for a treat. I got the three tacos, beef and chicken. Beef was juicy and moist, chicken was a bit dry but nothing the sauce provided couldn't handle. Also some nice onions and cooked onions provided. You can dress up the tacos pretty well, and for under 5 bucks it's a great deal. Fresh no nonsense mexican food. Nothing special but a solid joint worth checking out. read more

I was craving kebabs and tacos. And then i saw photos of trompo/kebab style pastor tacos at this place (this may be inaccurate description) and decided to try it out. There are so many gas station tacos in Dallas, but what makes this one stand out? Each taco place i've been to usually has one meat that stands out enough to warrant a five star. This place has three that I thought were really good. First- what they have a sign for- their trompo taco was good. From other reviews, I can definitely see how coming at different times may give you different consistencies in the meat that is shaved off, but i thought mine was seasoned well and tasted great. Next- their barbacoa and chicharon were amazing. The barbacoa was full of fat and stewed real nice. Like a better version of the Democrat from torchy's. The chicharon was great. Maybe would've been better with some crunch, but i thought the seasoning and the chunks of pork skin were perfect. Now their carnitas was mediocre, kinda dry, and their lengua was not as tender as i like, kind if bland, but no where bad. Id definitely come back for the three i mentioned. read more

One word to describe the tacos. Mediocre! They were really just ok. Do not live up to the hype. And what is it with places mixing the cilantro and onion. DONT DO THAT! Not everyone likes both! The meat was bland, and it seems the tortillas are heated by dipping them in the deep fryer, they are burning hot and dripping with grease. I should have only ordered one to try them and then gone somewhere else. I will definitely not be coming back. We stopped at Bachman Tacos Sunday morning in the hunt for some breakfast tacos, unfortunately they do not serve breakfast on Sundays. Bummer!!! However, the smell of the yummy goodness behind the counter was too much to pass up, so we decided to go ahead and order some of their regular tacos and add eggs when we got home (LOL). *Note* you order at the cash register for the gas station and then take your receipt back over to the grill area, give it to the worker behind the grill and then repeat your order to him for confirmation as he reads your order...printed...on the receipt...that you just handed him. *silence* whatever, if that process is efficient and works for them, let's go! We ordered three fajita, one trompo and one barbacoa tacos; you do have the option of corn or flour tortillas, we opted for flour! Everything was VERY good! We had them put all of the tacos in one container and they filled it with cilantro and onions to top the tacos and two sauces. There was an orange sauce that I didn't like the taste of and a green sauce that packed a nice kick and complimented the tacos greatly. I had the trompo and barbacoa and they were tender and full of flavor, soooo good!! I had a bite out of Sig-O's fajita taco and it was pretty good too! We'll definitely be back to taste some of the other items on the menu, everything looked so good and was priced affordably as well, can't beat that! I'm sure people will compare this place to Fuel City (since they're both tacos....at a gas station) but they have a larger menu than just tacos and you don't have to use cash only because you pay at the actual gas station register. This place is WAYYYY overrated. My husband and I venture out regularly on Saturdays to try new taco stands or restaurants. Bachman tacos may be slightly disappointing for anyone who wants a clean environment. I have ate at plenty of bars, picnic tables and outside patios that were much cleaner than the inside of this taco stand. And my thinking....if it's not clean to sit and eat...is the kitchen?! Well we gave the tacos a shot anyways since we had already driven there. I had the trompo, which is kind of their specialty, the chicken, and the carnitas. I enjoy the flavor of all three, but they are note worthy enough to drive to again. This place is a bit of a dive, but they have amazing tacos! Try the barbacoa and the carnitas! I've also had the fajita, chicken, and trompo which are good as well, but, the barbacoa and carnitas are simply amazing. The green sauce is very flavorful without being too spicy, and the onion/cilantro mix adds a nice accent to everything. It gets a little crowded at noon, so it's best to come a little early or late, tho' even at noon the wait was still very reasonable. read more

The dude at the front doesn't listen right and he charges u wrong then if u make him upset instead of telling u nicely to leave or that your tacos won't be made he lets u wait for like 15 then tells u something about your tacos. A Chevron across from Bachman Lake, Mexico playing Uruguay in the Under-17 World Cup final on the TV, guys in those pointy Mexican boots that curl up like 6 inches off the ground, and no english speakers at the taco stand. The ordering process is not immediately obvious. Walk in and order at the gas station counter, pay and get a receipt, then walk it over the other side and give the guys behind the food counter the receipt. When your order is ready the guy will make eye contact and gesture at you. The trompo is well seasoned pork that is displayed on a giant rotating spit right behind the counter like a non-kosher gyro. Its delicious and has a great texture, cheap too. For $5.50 I got 4 tacos, all better and bigger portions than anything I've ordered from Fuel City.
