I had a flavorless yet edible Al Pastor street taco and a Barbacoa that had color and yet no flavor. It was crunchy gristle. I was grossed out. We had at Abe's Flavor Flave at the Klyde Warren park in Dallas. We were delighted! They serve a variety of tacos and we took their veggie taco - its the best of its kind that we have seen. The corn tortillas were fresh and warm. The mashed beans with cheese toppings with veggies on top (also had an avocado slice on top) was served with a side of lime. You need to buy a minimum of 2 tacos. Their veggie quesadillas were amazing to look as well. We will check them out the next time we see Abe's. read more

These tacos were aight IMO. I came upon Abes Flavor Flave food truck while visiting Dallas and walking through the Klyde Warren park. I ordered 4 tacos and it came to about $10-12 with a bottle of water. Kind of an odd name for a Mexican food truck, and even more odd was that they also served Gyro/Shawarma meat off a spit? Didn't know they had Mexican eats in the middle east? I'm a purist so I think, pick a direction and stick to it, no? Anyway, the service was quick and the tacos were pretty good, I had two beef and two chicken and topped them with a mix of their green and hot salsas - extra points for clearly making it themselves. Delicious. I was hungry and thankfully ordered 4 of these little badboys, but they were teeny tiny so there's that :(, I would have gladly paid an extra few bucks for something bigger - they were the only thing in Texas that weren't "bigger" ha ha. Stopped at Klyde Warren Park today to grab lunch to go on my way to an event at the Crow. Had not heard of this truck before so decided to give it a try. I had 2 fajita beef tacos on corn tortillaz and 1 al pastor on corn. Salsa roja and salsa verde were available on the side to put as much or little as you desire and they came with lime. The tacos were $2 and I got a bottle of water for an additional $1.50. The gentleman serving me was friendly and the food came out fast which was great since it was literally freezing cold today! The tacos were delicious, but very oily. I put both salsas on my tacos and it was very flavorful with just the right amount of spice/ pepper. I would eat there again, but only if SSahm BBQ and Nammi are not around. Also am curious to try their gyros. read more

All I had was a veggie taco with no cheese, but it tasted so fresh, I wished I had gotten more of them. The only thing I wished was that there would be more vegan options. It's got the authentic gas station taco flavor and texture, and A++++ for them having the spicy green salsa to slather all over the tacos. I got the original beef fajita & original al pastor tacos on corn and loved loved loved it. It was sooooo good. It's 2.50 per taco, which is really pricey compared to other street taco places (which is why I knocked off a star, but if it wasn't for the price, this truck would be totally 5 stars), but going on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and having a picnic with tacos definitely made up for it. The vegetarian tacos here are okay, you get what you pay for at $2.50 each. What I didn't appreciate here though was the cashier's attitude toward me. I ordered my taco and failed to mention if I wanted flour or corn without being prompted - completely my mistake. I am sure this man has to ask this question a thousand times a day and it is not fun but his attitude and repeated comments on the situation seemed unwarranted to me as I was completely polite. Upon ordering, he asks if I wanted flour or corn. I apologized for not giving this information up front and said flour. He then said "See now if I had given you corn you would've been mad." At this point I apologized again and said as it was my error I would have accepted the corn tortilla. Then he says "This is why it's written on the menu." I ordered the beef quesadilla. How can you mess up a quesadilla? It came with ground beef (unflavored), cheese, and a dollop of sour cream. No pico, no Tex Mex flavoring. Nothing. I can honestly say this was the worst quesadilla I've ever eaten. It wasn't a quesadilla. It was two tortillas with ground beef and cheese slapped together. I ordered nachos for my nieces. Just a gigantic glob of orange cheese sauce topped with that weird tasting ground beef. Again, no pico, no jalapeños, no....whatever else you put on nachos. First off, the man serving at the window was incredibly friendly. HOwever, there was quite a line, which would have been ok if the food was worth it. Unfortunately this isn't the case. My friend had the chicken nachos. They are concession stand style nachos and you can make them at home for less than the $8 they cost. I had the chicken quesadilla and it was the same story... Not sure how your food tastes, but your drivers need to be more careful on the road. I was just almost run into a concrete construction barrier in the middle of Regal Row at the 183 underpass. The drivers should pay special attention in construction areas which is now basically all of DFW. His lane was a left turn only, but he went on straight ahead almost running my car over/into a concrete barrier. Not happy Abe! Please talk to your drivers about safety! read more

The meat was mediocre; it seemed that it was just flavorless. That being said, the meat was tender and juicy and had it been a bit more seasoned, the tacos would have been better. As a former employee of the Dallas Museum of Art I use to frequent the food trucks at the park and this was my favorite. The Quesadillas are delicious and the service is quick, efficient and always done with a smile (They once commented on how adorable my son looked since I had a picture debit card).
