I rarely write reviews but the experience at this BB location was pretty embarrassing especially since I was taking my parents. Our server was fine, but soon got irritated with me and my parents. Even though we were just waiting for our bill so we could pay and free up a table. I understand it was Sunday Morning so they are packed and the food would take awhile. However everything we ordered was hard as a rock or was soggy. The waiter barely checked on us so we could not even let him know about our food. I was pretty disappointed especially since it was Parents Weekend and my parents were so excited to go since I rave about the Buttered Biscuit. The staff at the Springdale location definitely need some help on friendliness and management. Don't waste your time. Went this morning, not busy which was surprising. We were seated immediately which was great. We then sat there for 30 minutes while four other tables who arrived after us, were served. Finally flagged someone down to ask for water and we were told, "YOUR waitress will be right with you." We finally got up and left without being served. The staff and owner do not care, if they did, this wouldn't be an issue that people have experienced over the last year with no change. Same Buttered Biscuit we know and love, but so much closer to home! We love dining in, food is made fresh to order. The kids love the French toast stick basket, and we love the biscuits and gravy, and shrimp and grits. The restaurant is decorated in the same modern farmhouse feel as their original location. It's always very clean, as well as the restrooms. Servers are usually great, we haven't had any issues. Their takeout is good, but we have never gotten a correct order, and trust me, we ordered here A LOT during the pandemic. Wow! Everything was so, so good! My mom and I shared the Lila Lemon Cakes - blueberry pancakes with lemon curd drizzled on them - perfect combo of light, fluffy and sweet pancakes, with tart and creamy lemony goodness. We also shared Pigs in a Biscuit and that was one of THE.BEST. biscuits and sausage I've ever had. The biscuit was light and buttery, perfectly moist and perfectly cooked. We live in the neighborhood and have been waiting to eat at this location. We've ate at the Bentonville location and enjoyed it very much. The place was very clean and observed all COVID precautions. The style of the restaurant is so cute and rustic. It's decorated very well. The owners are very kind and seem to be very invested in this restaurant as well as the other locations. The biscuits are absolutely delicious. They serve onyx coffee. I have tried many things on the menu (and liked everything), but one of the most pleasant surprises was the yogurt parfait I got for my 3 year old. I wanted to eat it all myself! Lovely little place to have breakfast! The avocado toast with a sunny side up egg was delicious. The little pepitos were a nice touch. I didn't expect avocado toast to be such a filling option but it was. Our server kept the hot coffee coming and my stepmom had a delicious Bloody Mary. Moving back to our hometown, we were excited to try a local spot. After placing an order at 11, the email said it would be ready at 1:00pm. When my husband went to pick up my Mother's Day brunch, the order couldn't be found. After multiple trips to the car to wait and back in, there were multiple attempts to find it. He ended up showing his receipt 3 different times. The cook actually made obscene gestures at my husband (hand at his waist) and took a smoke break amidst the chaos. The front hostess attempted to get rude as well. At 1:45, the order was finally found and acknowledged. Very understaffed and it was a holiday, but just be honest. The manager did attempt after an hour to offer a refund, but I think the hubby was so upset at the rudeness that he just declined and left with the food (as we weren't trying to get it for free). Ate here this morning while in town for a funeral. The food was outstanding! We were also impressed with the precautions being taken regarding COVID 19. While on our way home my husband and I said that this was the best meal of our visit. We shared the Beignet Bites. My husband and I both got the Winchester. My mother in law loved Lilas Lemon Pancakes. My father in law couldn't stop eating the Daylight even after he was full. If we lived closer this would be a regular place for us. read more

Made a reservation on yelp. Was told would be between 30-45 minutes. Checked in at 25 minutes. Was told should be 20 more minutes. 55 minutes later, our name was called. 15 minutes after that a server stopped by to get our drinks only and said she'd be right back after getting 2 other tables. Another 45 minutes until our food arrived. So a total of 2 hours and 10 minutes from making the reservations is unacceptable when told differently. Just be honest and we will go somewhere else. Our usual buttered biscuit had a very long wait so we went to Springdale butter brisket instead. Once we were seated, it took a while for them to take our order. It took almost an hour to get our food, and when we got the food not all of it was there. We had to wait to get sausage and additional 10 extra minutes, coffee was cold, pancakes were cold, and it was difficult to get our waiter to pay attention to filling our coffee and water cups. Many other people were complaining and not leaving tips. It was busy being on a sunday, but they had plenty of wait staff. So, I have no clue why they couldn't manage things better and now that I've checked Yelp their rating isn't that great. So we will not be patronizing this business in Springdale again. I might add that we are loyal customers that eat once or twice a week at The Buttered Biscuit with customer rewards cards and no discount was given and no apologies were made. read more

There is no doubt, the food is usually good, normally we are quite pleased. My past two visits however, have been nothing shy of disappointing. Two weeks ago, I ate the Lila Lemon Cakes, my wife had biscuits and gravy, both of us shared the pigs in a biscuit for an appetizer. The pigs in a biscuit was pretty much a [2/5], the pigs were slightly warm, and it tasted like it had been sitting for some time. [Sad, but not enough to me to leave this review] My Lila cakes were phenomenal, probably the best pancake I have ever had. Mouth flavor explosions, really excellent, the sausages I had on the side were really good too. This dish would have received a [5/5 ]if given on it's own. My wife's biscuits and gravy, was decent, she said they weren't extraordinary, so it's a solid [3/5] for that on it's own. The egg's were alright, but we found two short dark black straight hairs in our eggs. So she discarded them and ate the rest of her food. Even the hairs in her food, didn't make this review a 2-star. After all, we discarded the food and didn't bother to tell anyone. It was busy, and we didn't want others to overhear that our food was 'contaminated'. Overall, I would have rated that review a 3/5, maybe even a 4/5 as that blueberry lemon curd pancake was godly. The two-star subpar review really comes from my visit yesterday 9/4/2021. I brought a friend who is also a food enthusiast, upon entering, we got a few dirty looks from staff, as it was 1pm at our arrival. I said to myself "Oh shucks, I really hope eating 1 hour before close does not compromise the integrity of the food. . . . It did. My comrade and I, both shared the Biscuit Beignets for an appetizer. It was cold. I'm not talking about room temp, or slightly warm, but refrigerator cold. They had obviously been sitting around, and were VERY disappointing. The jams were pretty decent. The cups were not quite enough, and the flavor of them felt very dull. I've had them before, and they were popping with flavor in the past, this time, they were a little lifeless. We both decided on the kickin' chicken and waffles. There was nothing kickin' about these chickens. They were honestly the most bland piece of chicken I have ever tasted. There was absolutely nothing that could be considered spice, I'm not talking about heat either, it would seem there was an absence of any seasonings at all. I'm not going to say it was the worst, but it deserves not even a single star. It honestly made it to where you fall FAR below IHOP chicken and waffles. The Bacon jam was pure liquid and tasted like someone poured an entire bottle of liquid smoke into olive oil and served that in a little metal cup. It was bad both of us thought the same . I've heard good things, so I honestly believe someone dropped the ball. The only reason you have a 2 star is the Lila cakes and the Waffle itself. Conclusion : Not worth it. Unlikely to go back or recommend. I don't mind paying premium prices for quality food, but I cannot classify what I ate as 'quality'. It feels like I did not get my 'moneys worth' due to all of the above mentioned things. Please do not reply with some "sorry, we hope you try it again". We arrived at 8:55 and waited 5 minutes before even being recognized, finally the host seated us at 9:10 and by 9:13 our waitress came and took our drink order, we placed our food order at 9:18 and now at 10:05 we still don't have food. Our waitress told us at 9:40 our food would be out in a minute. The waitresses are touching everyone's toast with their bare hands and no one is washing their hands. This is the newest location in the Northwest Arkansas area and my husband and I truly love it: the service, the food and the atmosphere. We had server, Sharon Rose, for the first time and she was phenomenal. She was personable and witty at the same time...loved it. Whenever we go, we order something different each time and we have not been disappointed yet, so it's hard to go wrong with anything you order. On Sundays there is always a wait so I recommend getting on Yelp and getting on the waitlist before you go to save time. They close at 2:00 PM so keep that in mind. read more
