We were in town for a wedding, and need a quick coffee and breakfast to start the day, and one of the other wedding guests recommended The Cabin since it was just a short drive from the hotel. We ordered a bunch for the group, but the things I had was a strawberry shake and their breakfast sandwich on ciabatta bread. The strawberry milkshake at 9AM was bold but so worth it. I wish it was a little thicker in texture, but overall it was quite tasty with the blend of fresh strawberries. The breakfast sandwich was warm but it was a little light on the egg and bacon, but heavy on the red onions. The toasted bread was a nice touch but honestly the only thing I could taste was the red onions. I also think it could use an aioli or some mayo to add another layer of creaminess to the sandwich. Small fixes but it did what it needed to do. While they have a drive thru, we ordered from the window and the ladies that helped us were super sweet and nice. While we ordered a lot, everything came out quick and fresh. If you are in need of a quick bite or coffee, this is a solid spot to check out in town. read more

What a quaint little restaurant! The outside seats are so comfortable, the rockers and the porch swing were so relaxing to enjoy our bagelwich and ice cream on after our wildflower hike. Just outside Carson right off the SR12 they have ample parking and a beautiful view. Great stop for a quick bite and snacks. They close early 4pm on Saturday we just made it! We came out here after a hike at Angels Rest. It's a bit of a treck but we came specifically for their milkshakes. I shared a blackberry and tried some of my friends strawberry milkshake. i was in stevenson this past weekend and excited to visit the cabin. they had posted a sign saying they'd be closed on saturday which i appreciated so i hightailed it over there early sunday morning before leaving town. before i could even order, my dog and i were greeted cheerfully and i was asked if he could have a treat! My review is based on the poor customer service we received from the cashier. I felt very slighted and honestly wondered if we would have been treated better if I was white and not a POC. We ordered an avocado toast not realizing there was bacon on the toast (we asked for no egg already). My husband can not eat animals products so I said I was so sorry we didn't realize there was bacon in this and we asked if it was possible to get one without bacon. The cashier said they used the last avocado and stood there. There was no other suggestion offering another option or even an apology. She literally stood there looking down at us. I even said, "so ....should we find food somewhere else?" And she continued to stand there looking at us. She clearly wanted us to leave so we left. Stopped in for an ice cream cone after visiting the Columbia River Gorge Museum. I almost ordered a large, but when I saw the size of the small, I was glad I didn't. Both were really good especially the turkey sandwich!! We also got chocolate soft serve ice cream and some hot vanilla lattes. Both the ice cream and coffee were really good! What a great little gem this is! Even though it was 11:30 am, they were happy to serve me a great breakfast sandwich. Most places would have refused at that late hour.
