We've been coming here every time we are in cascade locks. They have the best soft serve in town and they aren't messing around with the size. You can get a variety of flavor burst flavors on your soft serve. They also have great sandwich, burger, and fishwich options. It's a small family owned business but there is always a love at the walk up counter or the drive through. If you ask me, it's like a hidden jewel in the Columbia River Gorge. If you are ordering anything but ice cream through the drive thru you'll have to wait in the parking lot but the cook brings it out to you. There is no inside seating but a couple of tables outside. I usually order and go to the park nearby to eat. Great service and delicious food!

I don't always eat ice cream in an atmospheric river but when I do, I get one the size of a samurai sword. It barely fit through the pass thru. Day one: strawberry. Day two: butterscotch. Both good. You read that right, two days in a row. Cause that's what people like me do. One day you think you know what will come and it's sunny, but the next it's a down pour and now I'm asking myself "will the rain ever stop?"

We always love this historic drive-through in Cascade Locks, I can remember coming here on field trips as a kid! They are one of the few places, if not the last, in Oregon that still has the Blue Goo ice cream that I love. The burgers aren't the best, neither are the fries, you can tell the burger patties were recently frozen and maybe a little freezer burnt and the oil was old for the fries, but overall we always stop in when we come by. Only suggestion I'd have is skipping the fried foods, the old oil gave us minor stomach aches and the ranch we paid 0.50c for had a weird taste and was yellow. Doesn't kill the entire experience for us but in the future we'll order something else!

Best Burger in America. No Joke!! From the outside, Eastwind Drive-In in Cascade Locks, OR might look like just another roadside burger shack. But don't let appearances fool you. This was, without question, the best burger I've had in the U.S. The double cheeseburger with bacon looked simple, but one bite changed everything. The patties were incredibly juicy, tender, and perfectly cooked: not dry, not burnt, just beautifully seared and moist all the way through. I honestly think the Korean owners apply some Asian-style cooking techniques that elevate the texture. The meat was so soft it almost melted in my mouth, like it had been lovingly marinated and treated far beyond the usual fast-food routine. Everything was balanced: crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, sharp cheddar, and smoky bacon, and all hugged by a bun that held it together without turning to mush. It's like they took the soul of a backyard burger and gave it the refinement of a chef's touch. I was skeptical before that first bite, now I'm a believer. This isn't just a burger; it's a culinary revelation run by passionate, interesting people whose care you can taste with every mouthful. If I end up moving to Portland, OR, I'll happily make the round trip every weekend just to eat their burger.

After driving past East Wind Drive-In in Cascade Locks dozens of times, I finally decided to check out their flavor burst ice cream that is getting lots of attention on social media. Although it was a rainy and gray afternoon, this ice cream cone brightened my day! The drive-in is charming and unpretentious, with that roadside Americana vibe that is always so inviting. I was in the mood for their flavor burst ice cream cone that has a spiral of flavor injected into the soft serve as it fills the cone. It looks beautiful and tastes delicious! Be warned, though, the medium cone is more than enough! I think the large cone may be 12 inches tall, or more! The service was quick and friendly, and the staff came out to say hello to my pug. Do yourself a favor and check out East Wind Drive-In next time you pass through Cascade Locks. This place is a gem!

After a lovely lunch at the fish market, I walked down to the East wind Drive-in for a sweet treat. I ordered a reasonably priced chocolate/vanilla swirl waffle cone at the order window and picked it up at the next window. Prompt, friendly service. I sat outside on a bench and enjoyed my cone, a sunny May afternoon, and the quaint town of Cascade Locks.

I went through the drive through and was not sure the reviews would be as good as they saw after some of the burger pictures. I am happy I tried because that burger was delicious! The onion rings were crispy and fantastic. The ice cream was of course perfect! I can't wait to go back when I go that way again.

    Curly fries definitely worth it.

Found this place by accident yesterday while exploring the old Hwy 30 and checking out the beautiful waterfalls in the area. I love mistakes like this. I also love places like this because they remind me of my childhood and i like supporting small business so as far as i was concerned this was a win win. We ordered the bacon cheese burger, large curly fries and a medium blackberry shake, because we were informed that the blackberry were local. I absolute loved the service they were super friendly and the food was great. Skip the nasty corporate food and drive out to these guys. Our food with the shake was $20 which for us was a deal we shared everything between two of us and it was a perfect amount of food. We will be back in this area in a day or two and will probably stop by just to get another shake. While we were waiting for our food we noticed that the soft serve cones were very popular as that is what the majority of people were ordering. I highly recommend this little spot especially if you like nostalgic little places that serve great burgers fries and shakes.

One of the best drive in / walk up restaurants in Cascade locks. I went to visit Skamania lodge across the bridges of the gods and was looking for some good food. This bar far is one of my favorites every time I come up here! Great prices, good food, amazing view! The workers here are great in recommending some of their best food. My favorites are the salmon burger, fried mushrooms, with a shake to go!

So good! The soft serve ice cream is so delicious, my favorite is the blue goo cone. The onion and tater tots are very crispy. The staff is always nice and friendly. I always bring relatives here!

This time we got marinated rhubarb, which is in season, and which I'm excited to make and put in my own spring salads at home. Also, edible flowers, and while we ate lunch, we saw a worker picking them from the little garden. The sandwich was a shrimp roll, which was great, maybe with homemade bread? It was perfect. The sandwich was zesty, with a remoulade and little pickled jalapeños. And what were those crunchy things on top? Crushed barbecue potato chips! A delightful detail most restaurants wouldn't bother with. And the soft serve sundaes, which are also full of artistry and interesting textures! You have to get one. I'm from California, so I'm still not fully used to the way food is served everywhere you go in Oregon. I was thinking, 'Espresso, ice cream, and antiques? That's different.' Is the musky smell of antiques compatible with food service? Not sure how I feel about this, but I ordered a huckleberry soda, anyway. I was curious. It turned out to be one of the best flavored sodas I've ever had. I loved the huckleberry syrup. The antique selection was well-curated. Lots of interesting trinkets and jewelry. Everything you'd expect from an antique shop, plus a gentleman's room full of old Playboys tucked into the back. Service was friendly, and there was plenty of parking. There was no wait. This is a great alternative to stopping by one of the big busy farms if you're just looking for a quick drink, or (obviously) if you're into antiques.
