Talk about a classic neighborhood place! And with regulars and a really crooked floor and a great location - how can you beat it? Worth visiting writing home about, and bringing your guests to. I know they don't fry anything and thats ok, but it was like they had taken it out of the freezer, nuked it for 2 min and slapped it on my plate. I wanted to love this place since it's a residential little locals pub. But my friends and I came here on a Friday night and were greeted with side eye stares through the window. Odd, as thought, but went in anyways. Then when we went to order we were continuously being stared at, one friend asking what they had similar to Guinness on tap and a Guinness can was plopped down instead with no words or offering advice on their tap beers. Basically most things we said weren't answered or acknowledged via words, but yet the barkeep definitely heard us. Meaning she'd just turn around and do it vs saying much. Not much conversation which wasn't the way the other guests were being treated. Like we said thank you when she took our glasses away and she didn't say anything to us... kinda strange? Could've been the vibe or a bad day. She also gave a few of my friends a skeptical look since their IDs were vertical even though they're going on 23... The biggest thing was that the experience felt entirely cliquey. Lots of staring, cold service, and just an "uncomfortable" experience as a few of my friends put it. But I liked my cider. Would recommend that. I might go back but all of my friends said they never would with the service and vibe so with that, I probably won't sadly read more

The place is a dive in the best possible way - the floor sags and the bar is crooked. The food used to be pretty good, but lately only so-so. It's bar food, what do you expect? Beer - okay selection of draft and plenty of bottles to choose. Plenty of wine and hard stuff. So why 5 stars: Because on Tuesday night, the place hosts one of the best music jams around! Folk rock, bluegrass, blues, rock, country - whatever the musicians want. Every jammer sits around a big circle and takes a turn picking a song...round and round until it's enough. Lots of guitars but also fiddle, mandolin, bass, accordion, banjo, piano,harmonica - depending on who shows up. Bring whatever you want! Some of the musicians are fantastic and others are just good or okay. But, it's all cool - all get a chance and everyone is super helpful and friendly. No solos or open mic stuff. There's always a group of listeners too - and that adds to the camaraderie. So, if you play or you just like to listen to a bunch of decent musicians having a good time and playing anything that comes to mind - come to the Cabin on Tuesdays - beginning at 7pm and lasting until whenever. read more

If your ever near Richmond Beach, go find the Cabin. It is one of the most strangely located bars in the world and truly from another time. Situated down at the very bottom of Richmond Beach, and nestled in some very nice homes, it draws in a crowd of locals almost exclusively. However on Christmas and Thanksgiving nights you can find an impromptu reunion from one of the local high school's in full effect. read more

This is a funky bar...it slopes & its floors slope, but it's got character. I agree with somebody that said it's a gem in the rough. They have a full bar selection, with numerous good micros on tap, good sports on the big screen usually, and if Eric is bartending, he's the best bartender you'll find. It's worth a visit, but I probably won't be back anytime soon. Definitely has well-worn pub atmosphere and character that you should see once. Tue eve folk-style jam session is fun to see, and if you fiddle or pick, just join in. Waitress/bartender was nice but her drinks were kind of pricey and not generous (almost all ice on the cocktail). The cook was all business, hardly said a word, never cracked a smile. $7 for a Guinness is not what you'd expect in a place like this. Food was pretty meh, also a bit pricey for quantity and quality. A local find! Outside patio is nice, the truly unique thing about this place is inside. Crazy warped bar and a bunch of local lore. There was a large group on the patio when we were there the first time but we were still treated like locals. Went back a week or so later when many locals were in the bar. I liked this place instantly when I saw that they had Fat Tire on tap - something that's oddly hard to find in the PNW. I got their french dip, which wasn't the best ever, but was still tasty and included pickles. Dill pickles, not bread and butter (which obviously is the best pickle to go with roast beef). I would totally order it again. My boyfriend had the Alaskan fish sandwich and he thought it was great. I also liked that they served me ranch with my fries. I don't usually order ranch with my fries, so it was like a tasty surprise treat. The service was very friendly and we did not have to wait very long for our food. read more

Returned here with out of town guest at 2:30 June. 17th for lunch. Horrible waitress. We ended up leaving because she was so rude. Complained second we walked in door that she was the only one working. Only 3 other customers. We sat outside on patio because door was open to patio and she complained owner doesn't like the umbrellas open on the tables. Accused us of breaking the umbrella and owner would be really mad. I love this place too-- fun and a great place to go when you just want to hang w/friends and be low key. the floors slope, ceilings are so low you have to duck if you are over 5'9", and people are very friendly. Location is great, hidden so this keeps it small and not overly-crowded. They have a pool table and funky jukebox. Find the bag o' water hanging in the strange place so everyone at your table can come up with stupid reasons what it can possibly be for! It loses stars only because I get sick of the cigar/cigarette smoke blowing over us when we eat on the patio. grrrr. read more

If I could I would give The Cabin Tavern in Richmond Beach a -5 rating. After being a patron of the Cabin for over 40 years I was told in a very rude and pushy manner by the bartender Michelle, that I was not allowed to park in a legal parking spot at the Cabin which I've parked at for YEARS and that I would denied service if I did so. I telephoned the bar and was very rudely spoken to by Michelle and was called a D I C K, three times during the brief conversation. Because I disagreed with Michelle's abusive behavior and her calling me names I was told I was no longer allowed to come in again or call. I am contacting the BBB about this horrible treatment. read more

This is a dive bar in the true since of the word. Great location, strong drinks, friendly bartender, fab fries and outdoor seating weather permitting. Just be careful walking because the floors are uneven and you could nose dive in the dive! My dad took a date there a couple of years ago and a dog peed on her leg! read more

This place is the real deal, an obscure and very funky Seattle beach-area tavern/pub/cafe straight out of a time-warp from the 1970s, and its a miracle that it still exists. The big attraction in summer is its outdoor deck; however it is enclosed and there is no view of anything at all, and oddly there are ashtrays and occasional smokers (I observed the entire staff taking back-room smoke-breaks at various times). Food is great; the pub-grub menu is limited but adequate, and portions seemed fine. Service is slow and haphazard, but willing. Ambiance is locals bending an elbow / jukebox / diners after pub chow. It could not possibly be more casual, and the restroom doors are signed "Inboard" and "Outboard". Definitely recommended for the adventurous. read more

Horrible service last night. I brought a few new potential customers last night & we were merely served beer. One bar tender blatantly avoided staring at us or bother to ask our order, the other bar tender seemed to be having personal issues on the phone and ignored us for a good 10 to 15 minutes. If you're not local don't bother going. These guys barely stay in business and there selection isn't that great. But most of all their customer service needs to be put in check. I wouldn't touch that place with a 10 foot stick. Almost want to let the manager/owner know of the horrible service they gave to me and my friends last night. read more

Beer is cold! Food is good! Ambiance - It is an old beach cabin people! The name is aproperiate! Great place to hang out in the summer on the patio or to catch occasional live folk and blues music being played on a Tuesday or Thursday evening. The staff here really makes this place comfortable and the locals....non are too threatenning! My grandmother grew up in Richmond Beach and would visit the cabin with a date back in the day-Many locals enjoy this popular landmark, and new comers are always greeted with a smile. Servers are friendly, and the food is great! Nice patio for outdoor dining, with views of the shipping lane from upper deck. Pool table and a piano for those who desire a bit of entertainment, and I am told that musicians do play at the Cabin a couple nights per week. For those who enjoy rustic, authentic land mark pub's and eateries, this one should not be missed! read more

If you are ever in the North End of Seattle and looking for a place to kick back, listen to some great music on the juke box, and snack on some delicious food, this is your place. The bar is located in the midst of a very high end neighborhood, there are no other businesses around. It sits amongst multi million dollar homes. I believe it was built in the early 1900's when this area was considered tourist and fishing. When you walk in notice the crooked bar and the crooked floor. On a rough night, you may think the Bartender should be cutting you off any time. Apparently this is how the building settled and leaving it as it is gives this restaurant serious character. The nachos are great, a little pricey but several people can share. As for sandwiches, the meatloaf is my favorite. It is definitely homemade and has a strong smokey flavor. I have also tried the fish and it is simple, but good. In the summer they have a large deck area where you can take in the cool ocean breeze.
