Crispy, well-seasoned, and exactly what we came for. I ordered the steak and eggs. While it was cooked fine, the quality of the ribeye itself wasn't the best, which was a little underwhelming. On the brighter side, the Citrus Peach mimosa was really good--refreshing and worth it. Victor was a great server--attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly despite how packed it was. The Diner is just off Apopka Vineland Road and I must say conveniently accessible and located many other touristy spots. The Diner is just different and truly gives you The Breakfast Experience. They are open only until early afternoon. The servers are many and are always ready to refill your coffee and take your order. Very attentive and make sure the customer leaves happy. I truly love the fresh blueberries served up with my extra crispy Belgian waffle. They also have the most amazing juice, Citrus Peach and the most amazingly tastiest chicken sausage around town. I had heard so many positive things about @ The Diner since living in Orlando, so was so excited to finally get to try it. The restaurant itself is very open and has lots of seating for a busy brunch time. Lots of parking as well. I came with my husband and toddler son and we were seated almost immediately. Our server greeted us and seemed upset that we hadn't had time to decide on our food and only ordered water to start. When he brought our waters back we were ready to order so that was fine. The food took an exceptionally long time for not a full restaurant and what upset me the most was that there was no priority in getting out the children's menu item so that my son wasn't sitting there hungry and upset. After close to a 30 minute wait, our food did arrive but incomplete as they were still partially waiting on the side for my son's food. When sat, they only brought two sets of silverware despite having 3 people at the table. Our server was no where to be found for close to 10 minutes while I was a set of silverware missing and needing a few additional items. I ordered the Greek omelette which was dry and cold by the time I was able to eat it because I had no fork. My husband and I split the cinnamon swirl pancakes which were the only redeeming part of my breakfast. The cherry on top of our breakfast was while drinking my water, I discovered the top of a butter packet stuck to my cup. Because the top was blue, it blended in with the blue Pepsi cups served. The server did advise us that the dishwasher had abruptly quit midshift while we were there. At that point I felt fairly disgusted by finding leftover food items in my glass I had been drinking from. I'm glad we found the Diner in a place that brings a lot of places that don't really hit the mark: my breakfast was tasty, the place is clean and bright, and our server was wonderfully friendly and easy to chat with. For breakfast, I had the avocado tomato toast, along with some eggs. Usually, the bread you get at a place known for its breakfasts is floppy and tastes like sawdust, but this was surprisingly good, and the avocado was fresh. Despite being so pleased with my healthy breakfast, I found my eyes wandering as I saw some delicious-looking plates filled with biscuits and gravy and some spectacular-looking pancakes. Date of visit: March 3, 2025 Oh Yelpers, why did you steer me so wrong? We needed a place to hit on our way to the airport on our last day in the Orlando area and this eatery was along the "avoiding the tolls" route and was highly-rated, but this was not a great experience and I wish I had chosen a different restaurant as it was a sour note on an otherwise great trip. We were "greeted" by Kenzie and served by Leina. Leina was friendly enough but did a poor job of explaining charges for the meal: I ordered the Cinnamon Swirl Combo listed on the board outside but after receiving the bill, found that the $0.50/egg surcharge was added to the price. I understand and support the surcharge but we would you add this on top of the price listed on your daily specials board when it's not actually on the menu? Just say it's $18.99. Then I asked for cheese on my scrambled eggs and that was a $1.29 surcharge that was not mentioned. Given that price, I would have expected my eggs to be drowning in cheese but that was not the case--there was no need for a life jacket here! In fact, most of my mal was potatoes that I did not care for. They were very oniony and cold, not even room temperature, cold. My french toast was decent, but small for the price. I found this place on TikTok and I can confirm it's not worth it! I expected so much more and have had a better breakfast at ihop or any chain breakfast for a better price. I built my own breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes. The potatoes were very salty. The service was okay, it took forever to get our servers attention. The place was packed and we were seated at a very small table with little space to eat and all of our knees were touching. It wasn't the most comfortable experience. Popped into here for breakfast before heading to the airport and pretty amazed at the beautiful Boston Cream pancakes! I thought I would like it because I LOVE Nutella but not a huge fan of vanilla custard but really wanted to give it a go.. it wasn't bad! I likely wouldn't get it again but glad I tried it. It was our first time here & she provided insight on some of the fan favorites and her favorites as well. @ the diner has been a staple in Orlando for quite some time. I have passed this locations several times and have never got a chance to try it. This past Sunday I got a chance to try it. I arrived at about 12:00 pm. I couldn't find a way to make a reservation online, so I was worried about a wait. When I arrived I put my name down, and it was a 25 minute wait which isn't bad at all for a Sunday. This place was packed! That means there doing something right. Time flew by and we were seated. The staff was nice, and went over the menu. I ordered the strawberry filled French toast, and my guest ordered the special of the day which was a cinnamon swirl French toast. I also ordered a caramel iced latte. All the food came out cooked to perfection and very flavorful! We received our food, and realized we didn't have silverware to eat. It took us awhile to find our waiter so we ended up asking the hostess walking by and she promptly got us our silverware. We were impressed with all the food, we each got a side of grits and they were yummy. I ordered a side of bacon, and it was probably some of the best bacon I've had it was so crunch and VERY flavorful. We've been to other @The Diners around town, so we decided to give this one in LBV a try since we were heading down that way for the day. My GPS brought me to the Winn-Dixie parking lot and said "arrived." I couldn't find the restaurant, though! We drove all over and back down the road before finally realizing there's a smaller strip mall to the left and front of the Winn-Dixie one. It was crazy busy. That's when I realized we're in the tourist area of LBV and there aren't many breakfast options anymore with CrossRoads gone. Anyway, we put our name on the list and were given about a 45 minute wait time. Unfortunately, @The Diner doesn't have reservations or a waitlist you can join in advance. When we were finally seated, I noticed that our server was sat at all four of her tables at the same time (!!!). We did end up waiting a little longer than usual, but it was manageable, and our server handled it all very well. I would have been totally stressed out. Last time I visited one of the locations, my friend ordered the street taco, which made of a waffle with eggs, etc. inside. It was huge and looked amazing. So I decided to give that a go this time. Unfortunately, the waffle came apart too easily for me when I picked it up, so I ended up just having an open-faced sandwich. It was still delicious, but I think next time I'll order something else, like the Bennyffle (Eggs Benedict on a waffle instead of English muffins) that was delicious last time I visited (and didn't fall apart on me). However, the "secret sauce" that comes with the street taco was amazing, so I may have to order that on the side in the future. It tasted amazing both on the taco and the potatoes. We arrived on a Saturday around approximately 1 o'clock in the afternoon. The location was fairly steady, but the service is super fast, including your food coming out. We found the server to be very friendly and very efficient. My husband ordered the pancakes with a side of bacon and a side of eggs scrambled with cheese. There are three pancakes to an order, so it's very large and they are a little dense. He was only able to get about halfway through them. The bacon and the eggs were decent, but average overall. I had the Tex-Mex omelette, which I realized after I ordered it I did not read the menu close enough as it does not come with any meat. I definitely would encourage somebody to order meat with it as mine was primarily cheese, peppers, and pico de gallo. I also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy , overall, they are good. The gravy was a little bit heavy handed with a flour taste to it. They are located in a small strip mall type location, so parking is split between all of the businesses. There are a couple of other restaurants that are also located in here so I could imagine on a busy day. Parking could be tight. read more

First time eating at The Diner and really didn't have any expectations. I started with the Nutella pancakes that were delicious! Came with bananas and strawberries, covered with Nutella this was super rich with flavors. Now as good as this was I wouldn't have just gotten this alone. I do feel like it's A LOT (sweet). So I would recommend sharing this with someone. Of course had to try the chicken and biscuits and this was really good! I did add eggs and bacon but honestly would've been just as good without it. It is extra for eggs and bacon. The service was great and super helpful. The restaurant is rather small but I do think that the service was pretty quick. We came on a Sunday. I arrived with my husband and daughter and no one was at the front greeting or helping anyone, finally they gave us a 30 min wait time. There's no waiting space, it was two tiny chairs. We got a table and it was TINY for 3 people. The same amount of people behind us had two tables together. Family next to us had the same tiny single table for 4 people. Seating is not comfortable. Music was put louder and was very inappropriate, playing explicit words( p*ssy, n***a, b*itch). We are an interracial couple- black and Hispanic- we don't want to hear any of this in a public setting with families around. Food was okay, pancakes were very dry. Service was decent and when we were given the check we were pretty much dismissed. Wouldn't recommend to families read more

This breakfast/lunch restaurant space is very crowded with options in the area and you really have to have a good differentiator to make me visit. @ The Diner consistently suffers from some of the worst bacon, service which isn't great and everything else being so-so. Tuesday December 23rd 12pm. I was in town and craving eggs Benedict for brunch. The place was full but there were approximately 6 tables empty. 2 were dirty however. I told the hostess I need seating for one. Disappointedly she said I could only sit at the bar. I then stated I don't like stools and the bar was crowded. The hostess said parties of one can only sit at the bar. I was furious. After searching online for the dish I wanted, driving there only to be told I can only sit in one area bc of it being just me was the worst customer service I ever encountered. Shocked I looked around to see if people were waiting for the empty tables but everyone was seated. The hostess continued to just look at me as if I had no other choice so I kindly turned around and walked out. Before I taste the food I expect to be treated as a valued customer.
