A great cafe/sit-down restaurant, The Campus Grind provides a variety of items that range from salads, wraps and soups to smoothies, coffee & espresso, and hot/iced tea. They're vegetarian and gluten-friendly, and provide unique pizzas made on pita versus an actual pizza crust. Although I'm not an espresso/coffee drinker, many students and staff around the campus enjoy coming to the Grind for their caffeine fix. I have heard many compliments of their coffee being much better than Starbucks and at a cheaper price, so I'd recommend giving them a try. The Campus Grind also have bakery items at the read including brownies, scones, and muffins. They also provide regular drinks such as water, izze products, and soda products. The staff isfriendly and tend to their customers consistently. It's usually fairly busy and gets slammed with customers during lunch or after classes are released. Definitely recommend! read more

My friend just started at USF so we have been meaning to try brunch at the grind for a while. We were so pleasantly surprised. The brunch options are limited but we both got the avocado toast which was delicious!!! I also got the seasonal cinnamon toast latte which was so so so good. I'm so jealous that some have this coffee bar right on campus. They also have a Kratom drink which my friend had and enjoyed so I'll have to go back to try that. read more

Decided to drop by for a cup of coffee here on my way to work and I'm glad I did. The campus grind is located on the St. Petersburg USF campus but it is easily accessible to outside patrons. The coffee shop has indoor and outdoor seating, free WiFi, and parking is right out front. I ordered a small cappuccino with almond milk and it was very tasty. The grind serves, breakfast wraps and other quick breakfast foods if you are on the go. They also have soups, salads, and other pastries. A cute little coffee spot and a good place to study or just to grab a cup of coffee. read more

One word: average. There is nothing overly exciting about the coffee shop on the USFSP campus. The food is very "meh" and so is the coffee. Although the staff is quite polite, it doesn't really make up for the higher than normal prices. The WiFi password is written on the wall which is great but the Internet rarely works. Seems a little off on a college campus. Overall, it's not someplace I eat at frequently but they are the only place on campus to get a quick cup of coffee. The place is really clean and has a nice vibe as long as you don't mind the giant furry mural on the wall. Interesting but still a but perplexing. read more

Very expensive for not so great . Coffee is generally good. Sometimes the quality is off. Had one cup that was barely warm once. The espresso drinks are not so good. A little bit of taste like the machine needs to be cleaned out. Still the coffee is generally good. The little lunch pizzas are good, but expensive. The muffins and baked goods are not so good. Maybe not so fresh. Kind of taste like something you'd buy in a package at a grocery store for less than half the price. Service is friendly and efficient. The space is comfortable. Free wifi, but it's not so good. It is convenient. Like buying candy at the movie theater. So I will continue to go there. read more

So... This place has okay food. Most of it isn't interesting and the wraps are below par. The salads are good enough. Very expensive for what they give you. Honestly, their coffee is possibly the worst coffee around. I think it's only extremely busy because it is the only viable option on Campus for coffee. As the other posts have stated, the food is decent, if over-priced, and the staff isn't up to the task. I couldn't log-in to their internet (I went to Black Crow Coffee to write this review), because their router wouldn't assign my Windows 8.1 an IP address. I asked them to try to affect a solution by resetting their router. The dumb bunnies behind the counter gave me an answer to the effect that, because there was music streaming live over the web, there was nothing wrong with the router. Kids! read more

I go to school at USF so even though I don't love the food, it is convenient so I pick up lunch every so often. They are way overpriced for what you get. Since they are located next to the university, you would think they would be more student friendly in their pricing. The last thing I ordered was the vegetable risotto. It was okay but not great. It was $8 for maybe a cup of rice and no sides. Ridiculously small portion for the price. The coffee is good but nothing exceptional. The bagels are brought in and are usually dried out. Their homemade pie is great. I want to love them because it is a cool atmosphere and local but unless they change something, it will be a once in a while convenience. read more

What a great stop for a breakfast sandwich, boy it was delicious. I ordered over the telephone egg, cheese, tomato and spinach on a croissant, (I held on onions). The sandwich was ready when I arrived, in a nice bag ready to take with me, i took the sandwich back to the office and it was still nice and warm when I arrived. the sandwich melted in my mouth. REALLY good food, great service, and a nice atmosphere. I wasn't expecting that much when I came here, but for a little campus restaurant, it's great: they have breakfast, lunch, and all kinds of snacks. The staff are really helpful, and it's quick.
