We had breakfast on a Sunday Morning. You order at the counter, then you're given a numbered card to be displayed for the servers to see. There seemed to an ample seating indoors and they had tables outside as well. We ordered a bacon and egg biscuit and Chicken (strips) and waffles. The chicken strips had a nice flavor that blended well with the syrup and waffles. The waffles were perfectly cooked and fluffy. Both choices were filling and could easily be shared between two people. There was a gentleman walking the floor checking on patrons, cleaning and bussing tables. There was also a friendly chatter in the air. We will definitely dine here again. read more

These are the best biscuit combinations you will ever eat. Only place that is as good on account of a bigger biscuit is in New Orleans. But only Maple Street does the Maple! And that's the best part! I get the sticky maple: biscuit, fresh fried chicken, thick crisp bacon, on a puddle of flavorful maple syrup. I get a side of sausage gravy. Love the savory sweet combinations. They give you a cup big enough for an extra biscuit or to share with others. You won't want to waste this. It's the best sausage gravy you will ever have! This waiter must have just read my mind because he just gifted me a glazed biscuit as a free treat! Coffee is wonderful. They have a dark and a maple one. I mix them. Terrific. Today's question is what was your favorite childhood Christmas gift. It was fun hearing all the classic toys called out and you can tell the age range of everyone given the toys they called out: "ice skates, easy bake oven, Panasonic boom box, game boy, Atari, x box, I don't know, that's a good one..." I love Maple Street Biscuit Company! The biscuits are handmade daily and so yummy! I usually get a sausage, egg, and bacon biscuit with fresh squeezed orange juice. The fried egg was a bit too cooked the last time I visited. Just a note that after you order, it may take you sometime to get your order because they're making everything fresh. It is totally worth it. There is plenty of interior and exterior seating. On my last visit, I had great customer service from Zareon. My fiancé ordered the Chix & Waffles, and the balance of sweet and savory was spot on with perfectly cooked chicken and golden waffles. We paired everything with their freshly squeezed orange juice, which tasted so fresh and refreshing. I cannot rave enough about the food, honestly: the biscuits are literally perfect, though sliced too near the top for equal treatment, but really perfect, not too dry, not too moist, not too buttery, not too plain, just perfect. And the many coffee choices for $3.25 endless coffee were all good (yeah, I had too many cups, but hey, "endless"). We were at the Floridian Theater for a Navy Chief Pinning Ceremony, which included our eldest grandson. Great process and we were very proud grandparents. To get there early for good seats, we skipped breakfast, so after the ceremony, we discovered the Maple Street Biscuit Company next door. Very convenient so we tried it. It's basically a self serve eatery where you order your meals then find a seat, fill your drinks, get napkins and silverware and wait for your "ID" to be called. Cashier asked for favorite country we had visited, so we chose Greece. Took a bit longer than expected for food to come but "Greece" was finally called and I retrieved our plates. My wife stayed on her Keto diet (well except for a couple Fried Green Tomato slices) and ordered the Keto Bowl. This came with Eggs, bacon, avocado, tomato, mushrooms, goat cheese, spinach and maple-balsamic drizzle. She really loved it. I decided on the Five & Dime Biscuit with country fried steak, bacon, cheddar, egg and sausage gravy. It was very good but a few issues. Biscuit, and I grew up with Southern biscuits, was a bit crunchy and not soft and pillowy. Country fried steak was a bit tough and had several tough tendons, not prepped well. Bacon was great and sausage gravy was great, just needed some Tabasco. I also ordered a side of Fried Green Tomatoes. They were the thickest slices we had ever had, maybe 1/2 inch. My wife liked that you could really taste the tomato. But my issue was that when you cut it or bit it, the batter tended to fall off. Maybe no corn starch before battering. It was a pleasurable meal in a communal table setting. But at $41 for breakfast, a bit on the expensive side. read more

We had a great breakfast experience. It's casual style with a friendly staff -- you order at the counter and food is brought out to you. I would not order a potato bowl again but I definitely recommend the homemade biscuits and the smash browns, which were both great! When you start with a smashbrown and are blown away because it's not just a hashbrown --- great seasoning and batter --- you know the rest of the meal is going to rock. Squawking goat w/ pepper jelly was solid, chicken perfectly cooked, great batter, outstanding biscuit -- flaky yet moist. Same deal with the five and dime --- great flavors and the chicken was perfectly cooked with great batter. Fried tomatoes very good as well -- batter has a little spice and is offset nicely by the ranch dip. Biscuits and gravy good as well. The sausage gravy is good but I wish I would've ordered the mushroom to try (next time). Also, because it was Valentines day --- all the biscuits were heart-shaped which was a great touch. Maybe my expectations were just too high. As a resident of a Mid-Atlantic city, I was hoping for some of those delicious light fluffy buttery biscuits that you can only get in the South. Great place for breakfast, with a caveat. If you finish your plate, you'll feel like a manatee. You will eventually return to your standard form, for better or for worse. I've tested it many times. They say it's fried chicken on a biscuit, but it's really a devil on a plate. I know I shouldn't do it, but it keeps calling me. One bite, then another, and another, until it's gone! You've been warned. It's usually pretty busy on the weekends, so prepare to have coffee or OJ and chill. It's downtown, so the ambiance is rather down-townie. read more

Let's start with the good! Maple street biscuit company was poppin on a Saturday! They have lots of seating inside and every seat was taken. You walk up and order and the line moved quickly. We ordered a maple vanilla latte, a cowboy, a kid's sandwich and the retro with sausage. We didn't get anything too fancy but we had no idea how backed up they were on orders. The bad. We waited about 45 minutes for our food (personally I don't think it should take more than 20 minutes for food like this. As a server in a scratch kitchen the kitchen staff always told us it shouldn't take more than 25 minutes even on busy nights). The fact that 3 sandwiches took 45 minutes is wild to me. It seems like there should be a more efficient way to get food out quicker. I drank my entire latte before the food was ready. Once the food did come out I realized they made the retro wrong. They had just put sausage, cheese and a biscuit together and I was missing the fried egg. Instead of saying "you know what, you've already been waiting for 45 minutes for a simple sandwich, you can keep the sandwich while we remake your order correctly," they took the sandwich back and I continued to wait for another 15-20 minutes for the correct sandwich. My husband and kid were done with theirs by the time mine came out. This place would have easily been 5 stars had the staff handled that situation correctly and been more clear with how long food was taking upfront. The latte was great for a fast food place. They have a solid espresso machine! The first couple of bites into our biscuits were amazing and we devoured them! I would just recommend coming at a less busy time. read more
