The wings were small, but prepared well; they were crunchy and not dried out. I ordered their "Death Sauce" and it was .... slightly spicier than basic Frank's Red Hot. My friends, who don't like spicy food, said the wings tasted mostly like paprika. We also had some buffalo wings which maybe had been placed near some buffalo sauce during their preparation. We have been wanting to try poutine and decided to try the brisket bbq poutine, which is crispy fried topped with the brisket then gravy and cheese curds. Sports bar in downtown Banff. Entrance off of Banff Ave and is located on 2nd floor. Good sized interior with lots of TVs showing sports. Went on a Friday night seems like the place was half full. Pretty standard pub/bar menu of various beers, burgers, sandwiches etc. I got the Canadian burger which I got with fries. The fries are crinkle cut; they have a thicker fried shells that is crunchy and little harder than normal. As for the Canadian burger, it's a pretty standard pub-style bacon cheeseburger. There is a branding on the top bun. Buns and patty were alright. Burger was $25 and a beer was $8-9 for a pint. Overall, food was okay, didn't really stand out but not bad either. read more

We were sat beside the arcade machines which was very annoying, but that's something that isn't really their fault. My friends and I were looking for a spot to eat around 8 PM or so in town--we were feeling burgers/wings/typical bar-like food. Looking at the place from the outside, you would think it looks nice and spacious and inviting, hopefully the food would be and taste as good as the look of the space. Unfortunately each of us was very let down that evening. Apparently there were no servers available to take care of tables that night. We were told to go to the bar to place all of our orders, it was kind of strange, but we went with it. No actual servers = lack of attention and hospitality, which is what happened. My strawberry lemonade was great, I'll give them that. I ordered a Brisket Grilled Cheese Sandwich with fries. Unfortunately the bread and cheese were cold and the meat was lukewarm, super disappointing. The fries were okay too, nothing special. I was originally going to order their prime rib special, but they stated they had sold out earlier in the day--maybe it was best I wasn't able to get it. My friends got other dishes, but I'll just focus on my experience. It was a very disappointing meal in our week-long trip, hopefully they figure some things out. If you're a tourist, you're not welcome. We couldn't even get seated. The hostess was rude to my entire party and made it clear that they didn't want us there. They took our name down but told us we had to leave the establishment because they have no where for guests to wait for a table, not even downstairs where you enter. My son had the buffalo chicken wrap and upgraded his tater tot side dish to loaded tots for four bucks. I had the hamburger and upgraded to poutine, which was amazing. Came for taco Tuesday which were $3.50 each. We were pretty excited as we had hiked all day and were starving. We pretty much inhaled the tacos but they were nothing special and tasted like something you would just throw together at home. My friend and both had the chicken, beef, and donair taco. We had the soft tacos and they literally were taken out of the bag and had toppings put on them. Not toasted, warmed or anything. The toppings were lettuce, tomato and sour cream. The staff were excellent here. My wife had the mac and cheese which was less than good. It was not left in the oven long enough to heat it properly. I had a caesar and beef dip. Horrible service! Stood at the entrance waiting to be seated while three wait staff walked by and didn't even acknowledge us. Asked to sit in the shade and was given a table in full sun. Told one waitress we were moving to a table in the shade and was told it would be cleaned off right away. Sat at a dirty table for 10 minutes and had to ask for the table to be cleaned again. At that point the manager said it was our fault that we hadn't been waited on. Then saw the staff talking about us as we left. Would never recommend! read more
