Too bad I have to put this place on my s... list because the candy selection is excellent. Went last Sunday afternoon after a good meal at Snooze across the street. We picked out a few pieces of candy, maybe 6, and went up to have them weighed and priced. Came out to about $2.60. Heavily tatooed woman behind the counter made a hostile face and scolded me for such a small purchase. Like it wasn;t worth her time. Put a bad vibe on an otherwise happy afternoon. What a drag. Wayyy overpriced, but it's not like they force me in there. I love getting just a few pieces of candy at a time and rite aid doesn't sell Scotty dog licorice. If 5 Scotty dogs didn't cost me $2, if be there every day. read more

I can't say enough about this place. You create your own bag of candies and the selection is amazing. So much fun! And, while I was there I learned that they will do orders for special occasions like showers and parties. The owner is super friendly. Great truffles but service has been hit or miss. My first visit, the woman working the counter was really enthusiastic and helped me make great selections. On the second visit, I pulled up to the curb right outside the door and paid the meter. The sign on the door said "Be Back Soon." I waited a bit. Tried the door. Just as I was about to leave, the employee came to the door, smelling of cigarettes. She explained she has to close the store to take her break. On my third visit several months later, I parked in the garage only to find the same sign. Waited 15 minutes and gave up. They are renovating one set of garage elevators and I had to walk through a maze of stairwells and parking to find my car. Without validation from the shop, I had to pay for my useless parking. I won't be returning. Shifts and breaks should be set up so that your store remains open throughout your posted hours. read more

Oh The Candy Depot. This is a great place to go for unique candy. I bake a lot so I like to visit this place for inspiration. They have a variety of candy, gummy everything, Jelly Bellies galore, M&Ms in every shade, etc. Heaven forbid you have a question though because the customer service is the WORST. I've been in several times and it doesn't matter who is there - they are always on the phone and will NOT acknowledge you. I think the management changed years ago. Back in The Corvette Diner times (now Snooze / Urban Outfitters) the service was great and friendly. I asked someone at the gym if they've been there and experienced the same thing. Someone who overhead interjected and said "OMG - I have the same experience every time." I usually have things in mind to buy but always walk out frustrated. I'd rather go somewhere else that will appreciate my business. Is it so hard to say "Hi. Let me know if I can help you?" read more

Cute little shop with lots of unique candies and truffles, as well as the classics. Price is by weight, so be aware of how much you bag. Found some cherry sours that I have a hard time locating. Jasmine is the store dog (yellow lab). She came out to say hi and get a neck scratch. :) read more

This review is for Shannon! Her personality matches her colorful outfit! She's very bright and happy and we enjoyed the whole store! It was totally adorable! Even had a train on the ceiling! My one complaint was that we got two pretzels.... One toffee nut and one peanut butter from the case....they were probably like $2.5 each and they were both stale :( super disappointed. Today, 11/29/17, I walked in to what I thought was my favorite candy place and walked out quite upset. The staff was rude to me after I tried to sample a gummie bear. I left without purchasing anything and threw an empty bag out into the trash outside. The employee followed me into the street and made a scene by yelling "I hope you enjoyed the free sample ma'am." I came back offering to pay for the gummie bear because I do not condone this type of behavior, at which point I caught her trying to justify what she did with another customer. The employee then accused me of stealing, as she thought the empty bag I threw away had something inside. I looked at her in disbelief and said "Are you kidding me?" I was wearing regular gym clothes and holding a whole foods bag and perfectly capable of paying for a bag of gummie bears. The employee made me feel like a criminal, and for what, a gummie bear? This place has lost a loyal customer and needs to train its' staff to have more respect for its customers. read more

The Depot is by far the best bin candy place in town. It is perfectly located below the landmark too which makes movie nights awesome every time. The selection is vast and the sours are fresh and pungent. read more

I went in there to get gumballs in a vase for my child's birthday party. As soon as I came in the owner grabbed the vase and said she would fill it with the gumballs. She start piling the gumballs inside (not gently) and the vase broke. She immediately told me I bought a bad and thin vase. She asked me how much I paid for it. When I told her how much she told me I overpaid and then continued to tell me stores for good quality vases. She also said I need to become a "better" shopper. I think somewhere along the way she muttered I'm sorry with an attitude and the line, "That jar is too thin". I asked her for the money that the jar cost (about $30) and she refused and said I probably would have broken the vase myself at home when putting the gumballs in. She finally gave me 4 pounds of candy but that was it which obviously does not buy my vase back. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE! The owner does not know how to treat customers!!!! read more
