This is a follow-up from my review on Valentine's Day. We contacted the restaurant to let them know we were planning to arrive that night. Amy was the MOD and provided us a warm greeting and handoff to our amazing server, Sydney. Amy checked on us a few times throughout the evening, continuing to provide great customer service. We received the service and food we expect from The Palm. I ordered the shrimp crostini again & it was just as delicious as it was before. Between that and the bread service I was content by the time our entree arrived hot and in timely fashion. For my entree I ordered the Seared Sea Bass [pomegranate glaze, asparagus, egg-fried risotto] with a side of the broccolini A & O. I don't see red pepper flakes on the ingredients but there were plenty there, in both dishes. They were large flakes and identifiable. I just moved them to the side. The sea bass was seared perfectly. As mentioned above I was content by the time I finished the crostini, pretty much alone as my husband ordered the shrimp cocktail. Don't judge me lol. I'd say if you don't have an appetizer or have a large appetite, the sea bass entree may leave you wanting more. Back to the sea bass, it was delicious! I was stuffed and couldn't finish the sides. The risotto had some crunchy pieces to them which, intentional or not, I liked. They added some complexity to the flavor profile. The asparagus is what you see thinly sliced around the risotto. It's not an actual side. Hence, the broccolini was ordered as Sydney made me aware of this. The broccolini was still crunchy, not overcooked like many prepare it. I was pleasantly surprised. Again, had I known they had red pepper flakes I would have requested they be cooked without them but since they are large pieces I just moved them to the side. My husband ordered the bone in ribeye and said it was good. He finished it for breakfast yesterday lol. He ordered the cream spinach. I wasn't able to get a picture of his food this time. Everything was seasoned well and did not disappoint! We will be back. Thank you Amy, Sydney, Jarvis (host); the server's assistant, & kitchen staff for restoring our faith in The Palm! Tips: They provide parking validation. Unless you want to walk up stairs, in heels ladies, use the elevator to the left when you drop your car off and take the elevator to the lobby level. Yesterday my mother turned 80, and today my father turned 85. So we went to The Palm restaurant inside the Westin Buckhead, and I treated us to a lunch that was absolutely spectacular. I wasn't sure how busy it would be but I made a reservation and then we valet parked in the garage under the hotel. I ate at the Palm restaurant two weeks ago in Mexico City, so I knew this would go over well for them. We were greeted by Brittney at the host stand, and I explained the bday situation and also that later this month was their 56th anniversary. She took a minute to decorate the table, while we took some pics around the outside near the bar and front entrance. Brittney was our server, and just absolutely crushed it today. Kind, attentive, helpful and professional. She let us debate our path forward, giving us choices and other options that were available to us. My father ordered and old fashioned, my mother the Palm house margarita. I stuck with water since I overdid it yesterday for St Paddy's. We aren't usually big eaters, but we tried our best to make room for an appetizer course before entrees. I knew the crab cocktail was special from earlier this month, then we chose the shrimp crostini to complement the crab. Both dishes came out and looked beautifully plated. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. Slight translucence, two pieces of focaccia cut diagonally, butter/basil/chile sauce in the bottom of the bowl. I never see my mother eat rich dishes, and she was dragging the bread all over the bottom, and was amazed at the flavors. My father and I enjoyed the crab, lemon, and horseradish with cocktail sauce. Classic touch and so easy to eat. We kept one menu so that I purposefully could drag our lunch out. I know our family, and if I could wait on ordering entrees we could give a little more time to try and eat more of the meal. Father: 18 oz NY Strip, with brandy peppercorn sauce on the side. Mother: 12 oz center cut filet, with a chimichurri sauce on the side. Me: Lobster bisque poured table side, the wedge salad (asked for them to chop it up for me), and the pork belly appetizer. Sides: creamed spinach and hash browns. Let's just say that when the food came out, we were amazed at how great everything looked, but also how great it tasted. We don't eat large portions these days, but we did our best- still took home a TON of food. Again, Brittney came by (as did the mgr) to check in, and continue refilling my water because I probably could've used an IV from partying. Once we finished- they brought out a beautiful chocolate truffle with raspberry sauce and it was the perfect bite to end the meal since we overate. We ordered one cheesecake to go. Brittney took pics for us, usually I am the photographer but she was so kind and helpful. We couldn't have had a better meal today. The restaurant wasn't super busy, so it was nice for us to enjoy and take our time. She packed our leftovers, all in a couple Palms bags and to-go containers...which should essentially be two more meals for us. They validated our parking, we drove home and I'm 99% sure my parents are having a good food coma right now. I'm battling to stay awake until bedtime, but we all agreed that it was a really great meal, service by Brittney was OUTSTANDING, and to be able to treat my parents was really fulfilling, knowing what a little D-bag I was growing up. My personal thanks to the team here. Helped me look good for this meal, and since it's affiliated with Landry's I got to use a bday discount and a $25 credit. They took the cheesecake off the bill and looking back, I should've ordered the Key Lime Pie but that gives me a reason to bring them back. Support this business, the food was excellent, the service was impeccable, and we were so grateful for the time spent together today. Thanks Brittney! We tried to celebrate our friend's birthday at The Palm and there just isn't enough room to write what is wrong with this restaurant. 2 hours till our Lobsters arrived. They didn't have shell crackers so 2 waiters shredded the meat fighting to get it out of the shells - disgusting to even remember what they did to the lobsters. The lobsters were undercooked and 2 of us were sick all night. The staff are sweet and courteous but this restaurant should be boarded up and never visited except by tourists who are thinking The Palm in Vegas shares anything with this horrific establishment. I frequently visit the Palm as it is good option for some last-minute late night food and drinks with a decent vibe at the bar most time I am there. Ordered the Sea Bass, Chicken Parmigiana, and Espresso Martinis. The Sea Bass was cooked perfectly (I asked for the glaze on the side since I'm not a fan of sweet fish) and the ricotta that came with it wasn't too bad, albeit just a tad too overcooked. The Chicken Parmigiana was tasty, but the Linguini Marinara it was served with was surprisingly bland and just tasted like tomato paste. Dining at The Palm inside the Westin Hotel Buckhead is Top Tier experience. Decor is moody, old school glamour with beautiful bar area grown-sexy atmosphere. Bar crafted drinks and appetizers were on point and tasty to share. Good bartenders and shout out to Loved their chef inspired calamari with peppers with hit of spicy goodness! Their prime burger was tender and delicious. Several entrees on the menu I want to try next time I'm back in the ATL. To hit your sweet tooth that Keylime pie is to die for! It's creamy and tangy with a buttery crust, finished with torched meringue. Amy greeted us warmly at the entrance and escorted us to a lovely table. Brittany provided attentive service and was a pleasant conversationalist throughout the evening. Food: The bacon appetizer, osso buco, chicken parmesan, and Brussels sprouts were all executed well. Drinks: The Silver Oak Cabernet and espresso martini did not disappoint. The gentlemen assisting Brittany was attentive, providing thoughtful follow-up wine pours during our bottle service. My wife, daughter and I went to the Palm Restaurant today for Mother's Day & the experience was amazing. We were seated early and immediately our server Jeffrey came to the table and asked for our choice of water & gave the wine list and cocktail menu. When he returned with the water, he told us about the specials & his recommendation. He took our wine & drink orders and they arrived in a timely manner. This review is for the bar only. The Palm is attractive in a very nice hotel for a conference. The first night I had dinner with a colleague at a nice restaurant down the street. I had a glass of wine after by myself at the Palm's classic dark wood bar. A live musician was playing in the lobby nearby. Very civilized. On night two we had a conference dinner in one of the ballrooms. A large group of us came to the lobby sofas nearby for Manhattans and other cocktails. One of the bartenders served our large group of nine with graciousness and humor. And he gave us separate checks! Expensive. That's to be expected at any Palm or nice conference hotel. I have been to a few of their other locations and always thought it was a fun vibe with the caricatures on the wall and friendly service. This location inside the Westin has the same caricatures on the wall but is missing the friendly service and...sorely. I was here with a very large party for two consecutive nights, Tuesday and Wednesday this week and spent some serious $$$$. The bartenders were plain grumpy and rude to some of the folks in the party and ruined what was supposed to be a fun night. We wrote off the first night as an aberration and went back which was our mistake. Won't do that again. Please take your $$ and business somewhere else. This place needs new bartenders! read more

I stayed at the Westin hotel and this was the restaurant in the hotel. The hotel was amazing. This restaurant was just okay. Very expensive. But the food was not worth the price tag. I ordered the octopus appetizer, the lobster bisque and a side of asparagus. For 16 bucks for asparagus, they were pretty bland. The octopus was tender but very dry. My husband makes better octopus. And the lobster bisque was all bisque and no lobster. Service was nice but could not get over the food. Only reason I would eat here again would be to get Marriott points. read more

We did have to wait an extra 20mins to be seated but that's expected when families are eating and getting carried away by conversation. Our server April was absolutely outstanding! You could definitely tell she had been serving for a good 10+ years. Extremely attentive, knows how to read the table and offer exemplary service. Great sense of humor too, even though she was stuck working the holiday. I ordered the Sea Bass Oscar, and it was to DIE FOR. Very light meal overall but between the Bearnaise and the crab stuffing, it was the perfect amount of food to fill you up with the bread that comes out prior. My husband order the Gnocchi and it was quite spicy but the gnocchi itself was extremely tender and great warmed up as leftovers! The ambience is fine dining, expect to wear something nice. Button-ups and nice pants or a nice pair of jeans. No suit required but I'm sure they appreciate the extra dress-up. Went back to The Palm to try them again. After my previous bad experience there, the GM Shaun got back to me. Tonight was very different, everything seemed freshly prepared and I got a salad, 2 sides, steak, and dessert. The steak (dry aged KC) was one of the specials for the day. The flavor was there and the steak was cooked to my preference. The sides were delicious and we took the leftovers home. The service by April was very good as it was before (I never had bad service there). So I appreciate the meal experience tonight. So this Landry's restaurant is "ok". I find it really depends what you are looking for. If $200-300 for two is no big deal and par for the course then this is a fine place to eat. If you still believe a certain price point is "experience worthy" in terms of expectations, then you might be disappointed. The porter was just good. Nothing to write home about but very good. It always pains be to write a disappointing review. We had been to the Fox to see a musical and made reservations here after as it was on the way back home. I had been here for lunch for a work event maybe 10 years ago and remember it being a very nice lunch. Something has definitely happened since I was here last. Simply said, I was at Michelin rated restaurant (based on menu prices) with a Longhorn feel and quality. The service was slow and our server was just rough and direct. Totally something I would have not thought twice about at a chain steakhouse but, it was just way off for a restaurant that has the reputation of being upscale for the last nearly 100 years. Given the more than ample time we had to order, we ordered appetizers, salads and our entrees and sides all at once. I was stunned when my daughter ordered the sautéed shrimp and the server said immediately "no, I wouldn't. Don't get that. It gets sent back a lot". Even that would be shocking at a chain steakhouse and it was really shocking to get that immediate response. So, she changed it. The blue cheese dressing on the wedge salad was very oily. The portion was huge but, included some undesirable parts of the lettuce at the stem. The Caesar salad was solid. The tomato and onion salad was good but, again a very oily consistency in the dressing. We had the meatball and crab cake as an appetizer and those were both solid picks. I had the sea bass and it was average and certainly not the freshest. My wife and daughter had the filet. Both were cooked solidly well done and my wife offered medium well and my daughter ordered medium. There was zero pink in either steak. My daughter thought about sending hers back but, given how long we had already been there and the anticipated time it would take to send back, she decided to just move forward with a very overcooked filet. The lobster Mac and cheese was insanely disappointing, particularly considering the price. It contained VERY little lobster and what was there was very small and hardly recognizable. The taste of the Mac and cheese was just off and the color was overly orange and almost red. It was very bland. The au gratin potatoes were by far the best side dish with zero complaints. The hashbrowns were also on point. My daughter also got the lobster tail. It was a generous size but, was not fresh and was overly tough. Given the slow service and lack of quality, we skipped on dessert. I will say the biggest highlight of the experience was the Palm margarita. That was a very tasty drink. All in all, I would never consider going back for a $540 meal for three people including tip. There are so many other excellent choices in Atlanta that are at that price point or less and far better service. It seems to be this restaurant is well past its prime and has settled on a very mediocre approach to an upscale price point. read more

5 star food...5 star service...5 star ambiance. Can we just say 5 star across the board? I visited during what is probably the lowest attended meal of the week-midday Saturday. Let's just say it was perfect for me. Party of one, great attention, accommodations for my dinner at lunch requests with a smile and approachable, appropriate chit chat. Compared to my less than pleasurable, hurried meal last night at one of Atlanta's 'top tier steakhouses'...this experience today reclaimed my faith in the high end meal experience in the ATL.
