Cute little spot to get a glass of wine in the camp. Love stopping by and getting a tasting flight. You tell them what you like and then you get a small flight in little beakers. The cheese boards are good too love how they change seasonally. The owner is always in and he's so nice and knowledge of wine he has or is coming in. Always a good time at the wine lab.

The Wine Lab is retro, quirky, and has a relaxed tranquil atmosphere. There's some board games on a table inside, and a cute little outdoor seating by cattail bushes - unfortunately also alongside the road but at least you can people watch the pedestrians going to and from The Lab and The Camp. This is a cute place to catchup with friends, have a quaint little date, or sip wine in silence. The owner (?) was very knowledgeable with the wines offered and described them thoroughly to us non-wine-connoisseurs, but we enjoyed the experience! He was also very genuine and casual which we appreciated. Parking at the Camp and the Lab is atrocious on the weekend - but once you manage, it's one of my favorite places to walk around, study, read and peacefully spend the day. Plus very dog friendly at many establishments.

Always a stop if I'm in the area, I usually go with the suggestion of the staff-they are all very knowledgeable and kind. I have done the wine tasting a few time and that is super cute as it is served in wine glasses. I believe they serve charcuterie boards but I have not tried yet!

If you're looking for a chill, easy place to talk and lounge around (while also getting some glasses of wine) Wine Lab has the best vibe in all of Costa Mesa. Service was prompt, they have both indoor and outdoor seating, and array of wines for you to select from. If you're looking to drink from the afternoon and up, this is your place!

We came on a busy weekend but we found a seat at the bar and we were attended too fairly quickly. We did the recommended wine tasting and we enjoyed each glass. I like the idea of pouring it into a tube to go with the theme but I do enjoy an extra pour when it's poured by hand to be honest lol but it was a great vibe over all I would highly recommend stopping by for a tasting if you are in the area. Very affordable. Parking can be terrible but it's worth supporting local businesses I say.

Love this place! Andrew was so great and the ambience and food was awesome. I really like the ambience. Andrew was so great. Everything was so great here you need to come here.

Brought a group of 13 people here. Slow for a Saturday which is nice but the service was slow too. If you do order wine here, make sure you keep your glasses as they charge you $15 for replacing new glasses without letting you know. Which I thought was unfair considering how much our group tipped for the service to just open a bottle to pass to me at the counter. The various wine we tried was decent.

    Cute vibe inside & out

Wine was super good. Came in tonight on a Tuesday night around 7:30pm. When we walked in the bartender barely looked at us & was pretty much silent the whole time we were there. Heard him being kinda rude to the other people that walked in. Could've just caught him on a bad night but my husband and i who are pretty easy going just felt super unwelcome from the moment we walked in which was a bummer cause we've been wanting to try this spot out for a while! When we asked if we could order a second glass he seemed really irritated, there was still an hour before closing so we felt it was a pretty odd response. As we were walking out we overheard the other people there talking about how rude the bartender was :/ Would love to come back if someone else was bartending because we loved the ambiance it was just pretty bad service unfortunately.

Went on a friday evening, they had a few bar seating and outdoor seating available with no wait. I tried the bartender's favorite flight and it was fun! I liked how you could try a variety. I saw they also do happy hour , so might try that. We also got the burrata, so good!! Only thing was, I wish the bartenders were a little more detailed with explaining the flight I chose. She kind of just told me what they were but not what to really taste or expect. I'm not a wine expert, so I would have really loved if she was open to more questions on the wines.

    Cheers!
    Sarah J.

This place is always a win! I've popped in every so often over the years. I love the space, I love that they encourage you to bring in food from other restaurants at The Camp, and I LOVE their wine selection. I met a group of girlfriends (6 in the party) for a Monday night happy hour. We fit perfectly at the round table in the corner. We each polished off a flight and then ordered a glass of our favorite - every pour was delicious. Also enjoyed their cheese plate and then brought in a pizza from Folks. Andrew took great care of us, made us feel at home, and live music was the cherry on top.

Stopped by wine lab before our cooking class near by. This was a cute location. Lots of wine. My only regret was not trying a charcuterie board option. Looking forward to coming back again

Knife Pleat at South Coast Plaza is one of the three closest I've found to a proper afternoon tea here in Orange County, and as someone born and raised in Britain for 20 years, I hope that's high praise! Haha! I've been at least five or six times now, and every single visit has been wonderful! The afternoon tea is beautifully done. The tiered stands are a feast: delicate finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, exquisite little pastries and macarons, all elegantly presented and genuinely delicious. The tea selection is excellent, and everything tastes as refined as it looks. What keeps me coming back, beyond the quality, is the service. They've consistently and graciously accommodated my allergies every time, which makes such a difference and lets me relax and enjoy the experience fully. The staff are attentive and lovely. If you're looking for an authentic, elegant afternoon tea in Orange County, Knife Pleat is the place. I can't recommend it enough, I'll keep coming back!

I understand it's summer and these things can happen, but I expected a more polished environment from a Michelin-starred restaurant. Entrance/host lobby area is a little snug. We were sat at a large round table. They had kids menus for my girls. We ordered Pellegrino and a bottle of wine. Table bread and a delicious pesto butter was given to the table. I'm not a pesto gal, but boy, I'll tell ya. That butter was delectable. We ordered a caprese salad and a beef carpaccio to start. The caprese was really nice and refreshing. Served with arugula on top. They also added I think fried crispy capers on top omg. So good. The carpaccio was. DELICIOUS! Thinly sliced beef, fresh parmigiana, topped with arugula and capers. Probably one of the best I've had. For entrees, my girls both ordered the hello kitty pasta with bolognese sauce, husband ordered fettuccini bolognese, brothers ordered porcini risotto, linguini vongole, and mamas lasagna. I ordered rigatoni with vodka sauce. Everyone enjoyed their dinners. They brought out the giant cheese block for my brother's risotto!! My pasta with vodka sauce was very good. I could've sworn on the description that it was served table side, but it wasn't =0(. Dessert was something else. We shared the cheesecake and tiramisu. Top notch. Service was immaculate. Our server was present without being too overbearing. Our waters were filled and wine glasses stayed full. Very accommodating to our children. Definitely recommend for any occasion.

Really built your anticipation for dinner. Their wedge salad was extremely fresh and crunchy. Never had one before but if this is what salads are meant to taste like, I will be ordering more in the future! Tasted amazing. Almost acted like a palate cleanser. Entrees we had their porcini rubbed bone in ribeye in 15 year aged balsamic sauce and their pan seared sea bass. They were both so good!! Best steak I've had at a restaurant in a very long time. The crust was amazing. The sauce was to die for. The steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and it literally melted in your mouth. The sea bass was cooked perfectly as well. Well seasoned. Flaky. And just so good. The table had shareable sides including mash potatoes, lobster mac n cheese and grilled asparagus. The large chunks of lobster was amazing in the dish. Everything tasted great. It was well balanced and the best dish of the night. The scrambled egg agnolotti was delicious as well and was paired with a savory slightly sour sauce what helped with the heaviness. The bad: We were recommended the house made focaccia to dip into the steak sauce but it was served 15 minutes before the steak came out so was cold by the time we needed it. The biggest disappointment of the night was the $29 tuna crudo. We should have taken the description by face value: tuna, tomato water, vanilla nori oil (we thought this might be the flavor but we were wrong. It was just oil), passion fruit. It quite literally tasted like oily tuna in plain water with passion fruit seeds floating around. The passion fruit overwhelmed the flavor profile. There was so little tuna for the steep price (like 3 sashimi pieces chopped up). It wasn't even a high quality cut. Even if it wasn't, the flavor of the tuna was somehow completed sapped - leaving just the texture. The overall pricing for the menu was very steep with small portion sizes but at least the other plates we had actually tasted good. We also appreciated the complimentary dessert that was given for my fiancés bday. The service was great as well. Looking at previous reviews, it seems that the experimental dishes are either a hit or miss
