Lollipop Lamb Chops (4)
Giselle G.

I came here because my friend is always talking about this place so I came to try it for myself. So first I came for the happy hour and my friend came for the burger special. For the happy hour it was great experience. The bartender was very efficient and even gave us a taste of the special liquor created by Capital Grille. The food was good, I remember enjoying the food items. The shrimps were really good and I would definitely recommend that. The Cesar salad was good but I would have wanted more. The lamb chops were good, but they were overcooked and not our desired temperature. Next time I will definitely order from the regular menu. The place is nice and a good option for a meetup, my friend and I were able to catch up. It was busy but the staff handled the people well, everyone was being attended to.

Lamb Chops Happy Hour

I want to go for their current Wagyu and Wine special but ended up taking advantage of their happy hour. Service was great. I left work early to meet my hospital friends at the bar lounge. Happy hour was great and I only paid $46 including tax and tip for this low carb meal.

Came here yesterday with my boyfriend's mom for a belated birthday celebration while we were in town to see the Rockettes. Service was great. Rian was our server for lunch and did an amazing job. A little talkative but very attentive and professional. She went above and beyond to make sure our experience was delightful. Really enjoyed the lobster bisque (which was a special item of the day) and lamb chops. So YUMMY & filling. Salmon was good but not great. Just a little dry. Didn't care for the couscous though. Flavor was meh and the texture (combined threw me off a bit). Anyway, had a great time and would definitely be back.

Stopped by for martinis and a light bite amidst the insanity that is this area of NYC during the holidays. Easily found bar seats and we got martinis right away. If you like a clean dirty martini, can't recommend the dirty goose enough.

Was going to a concert at Radio City and decided to get dinner at The Capital Grille, especially because it was a block away from the venue. From the outside, you can tell this is a fancier restaurant so I was a bit judgy because I wasn't sure what the energy would be like when we got inside. So happy I didn't let my inner thoughts turn me away because this was an amazing experience. We didn't have a reservation but were seated promptly by such a nice and warm hostess. Our waitress was so bubbly and helpful as my friend and I took time to review the menu and decide on our order. We went with a bottle of Cabernet which paired so nicely with everything we ordered. For our apps, we got the Prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella and the Lobster crab cake. The prosciutto was fried so the texture was crispy and amazing with the cheese. The Lobster cake was full of lobster and crab and the flavor was incredible. The T-bone steak was cooked exactly how we asked and had the right level of meat to fat ratio. It was also in a delicious mushroom and fig sauce that was so yummy! For dessert we ordered the butter pecan ice cream and cups of coffee. Out of everything the ice cream was my least favorite; it had a gravel like consistency and watered down taste. The coffee, however was also tasty. The service was amazing and so was the food. This is a nice place to go on a date! Would totally go back!

Ribeye Steak Sandwich

Stopped in here for lunch at the bar area and was impressed with their sandwiches. I got the burger and my friend got the steak sandwich. While I enjoyed everything about my burger and fries, I tried my friend's steak sandwich and it was perfect. If I had known the steak was going the be tender and juicy on delectable bread, I would have ordered it myself. I've steered away from steak sandwiches because I'd always found, at other places, the meat to be chewy and just tough to eat, not done properly. But after having tried the version here, I will be coming back and enjoying my own.

Carmelized French Onion Soup, Parmesan Truffle Fries

Capital Grille is a solid franchise. My friend told me for months but I was always skeptical. We were looking for a late evening snack on a weekend, and we ran to Capital Grille with a some time to spare before the kitchen closed for the evening. Service was top notch (shoutout Sandra, you were amazing). We both got French onion soups in the spirit of the cold weather, and some truffle fries to share, and it was glorious. Hands down probably the best French onion soup I've ever had - the perfect amount of cheese, seasoning and bread to soup ratio. The fries were a hit tio. I will definitely be back

This was a top 10 dining experience. The food and service were excellent. Rian was a great server. Very personable and kind. Meal was well paced and not rushed on a Saturday night. We did not opt for appetizers, but chose several side dishes to share and saved room for dessert. Steaks were cooked perfectly, lobster was sweet and delicious. Every side dish was great. The cream corn is sweet and not heavy. The mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful and the french fries were perfect. I can never resist the coconut cream pie, which is more like a tart rather than a pie, with yummy whipped cream and toasted coconut garnish. We have visited several Capital Grille's and always have a good meal, but this was incredible. One small issue with the bill, that I didn't notice until later that evening, was I think we were charged the porterhouse special for 2 rather than the individual porterhouse my husband ordered, but otherwise everything was spot on.

Couldn't have had a better experience! Our waiter was so lovely and the food was divine. I haven't had calamari this good in years! The peppers were a nice addition. The seafood was all cooked perfectly with a nice bite but juicy and tender. The flavors were really great as well. Need to try a steak next time I'm here!!

Salmon
Ty M.

For lunch today, I ordered the salmon with couscous, cherry tomatoes, and asparagus to go. When I opened up my lunch, this is what it looked like. This was $40. The couscous was soggy, there was ONE asparagus cut up, and the salmon was overcooked. Don't eat here. An absolute joke.

As I walked in and saw just how swanky this place is I panicked - there was no way we could just walk in here without a reservation, right? But the hostess was, thankfully, so down to earth. I was straight up like hey I totally messed up and thought we could just walk in here, she was like you know what, let me see what we have. Lo and behold, she did have a table for us - as long as we were out in an hour and a half, which was just the right amount of time. Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. They gave out a complimentary nut mix that was also delicious. Service was swift and gracious. If you're looking for a spot to impress a date, this is it.

There's also seating on the second floor, perfect for couples or small groups. I tried two of their cocktails when I went. The first was the Eastern Julep, a delicious twist on a classic. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. A bar seat eventually opened up but I was already on my second drink by then. Definitely make reservations if you're planning a visit!

The bar seating was plentiful and comfortable. There is plenty of space for people to stand behind the bar or a high top tables enjoying happy hour after work. If you go at 4:30 or 5, it's a bit calmer as the after work crowd trickles in. And as the evening went on, it started to get more and more packed, and it became a really lively vibe. After my friend left for another function, I stuck around a little bit longer for a little solo dinner. I had a glass of Prosecco off the happy hour menu followed by a dirty martini, and I did request to look at their full dinner menu because there was a couple items that I wanted to try. I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. The service was excellent from the servers and the bartenders, and they were all very attentive, personable and friendly throughout the evening. I'll definitely be back for happy hour or dinner with friends!

It's been a minute since we'd dined out (life on the other side of having a kid has been DIFFERENT…read morey'all) so we decided to go check Barlume out. Did you know this is where the Beecher's used to be?! RIP, I miss their Mac n cheese.... the vibe is completely different now (think extravagant Mediterranean vibes, it's very instagram-mable with the beautiful bar area). I had made a reservation for 5:30 (again, life with a baby is very different)- we arrived early but the staff were very gracious and were able to get us seated. They seated us in a side alcove area where they had cushioned seating, which was very helpful. What we Ordered: Drinks: Barlume Spritz and Hibiscus Mule (N/A cocktail)- drinks were good, nothing too special but we appreciated the cute stirrers Appetizer: Halloumi- grilled halloumi with roasted eggplant puree. The saltiness of the halloumi went so well with the creaminess of the eggplant. (Baby liked the eggplant puree too hah) Entrees: Lobster Arrabiatta and Duck Ragu and Truffle Pizza. My husband got the lobster arrabiatta and was raving about how delicious it was. He said it was the perfect level of spice. My duck ragu was served with busiate (a corkscrew shaped pasta) which I thought 'trapped' the sauce perfectly so you get a nice saucy bite each time. Pasta was perfectly al dente- my one gripe is that I felt the duck ragu was a bit too salty, which even managed to overpower the tomato flavor. We shared the truffle pizza, which came topped off with stracciatella, porcini mushrooms and shaved truffles. I liked the porcini mushrooms on the pizza, this was a first for me. For dessert (which we had to gobble down quickly because baby was starting to get fussy) we got the pistachio cake. SAVE SPACE IN YOUR STOMACH FOR THIS ONE!!! This was my favorite in the whole meal, the kataifi gives it that wonderful crumbliness and it went soooo well with the mango sorbet that's served with it. Recommend for a nice dinner with friends or a cool place to grab drinks! 4.5 stars

We happened to be there watching Spain during the World Cup, so between the food, drinks, and cheering fans, it almost felt like we had been transported to Barcelona--minus the airfare. The service was friendly, relaxed, and refreshingly unhurried. We never felt rushed and were able to order at our own pace, which made the meal even more enjoyable. For the main course, the meatballs, chicken skewers, gambas al ajillo, and beef paella were all delicious. Honestly, every time a dish arrived, I thought, "Okay, this is my favorite," until the next one came out. The churros were the perfect ending--crispy, hot, and dangerously good when dipped into the thick, rich hot chocolate. They're the kind of dessert that makes you seriously consider ordering a second round... even when you're already full. Boqueria continues to be one of my favorite spots for great Spanish food, excellent happy hour, and a lively atmosphere. I'll definitely be back--and probably for those churros sooner than I should.

Bartender Juan was exceptional, and manager Andrii led by example with true hospitality. I initially had a seat that wasn't ideal, and without me saying a single word, they noticed. As soon as a better seat became available, they proactively offered to move me. That simple gesture spoke volumes about their awareness and commitment to guest experience.
