What a great casual spot for dinner after a show on Broadway . It's conveniently located at Rockefeller Center. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for intimate dinners with plenty of seating surrounded by a casual atmosphere. Our server Jordalys was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable about all the meals and recommended a few things. She was super nice and friendly. Stopped by constantly. She took very good care of us. We got the dry aged steakhouse burger it's an Angus, Chuck and brisket, melted onions, sharp, white cheddar, and mustard, honey aïoli. Mouthwatering just look at the picture! This has to be one of the most frustrating dining experiences I've ever had. Cutting to the chase: I ordered the dry-aged NY strip medium rare. It came out medium at best. I hate sending food back, but I did, since I'm paying around $90 for this cut of meat. The nice waitress returned saying her manager thought the steak was cooked medium rare "to a tee." That's what got me irate, but I took a breath and ate half of it because I didn't want to embarrass my fiancée. Then I looked at her steak, which she ordered medium, and it was a perfect medium rare. I brought the manager over and asked what temperature each steak was cooked to. She said mine was medium and hers was medium rare. Well then, both were cooked incorrectly. I usually go to a particular dive bar in Bushwick that makes one of the best burgers I've ever had, but since I wasn't in Brooklyn and happened to be near Del Frisco's at Rockefeller Center, I figured why not give it a try? I sat at the bar and had a great conversation with the bartender, who was friendly, engaging, and attentive. Based on the recommendation, I ordered the dry-aged burger with melted cheese, onions, and arugula, plus a side of fries. I was starving and genuinely excited. Unfortunately, the excitement ended with the first bite. The burger wasn't very appetizing to look at, but I gave it a fair shot. Sadly, I couldn't taste the onions, cheese, or arugula at all. What I did taste was an incredibly dry, flavorless patty. I understand what dry-aged means but this felt mummified. The texture and flavor honestly made it taste ancient, like it had been aged for centuries. The best comparison I can make is cardboard lightly seasoned with beef bouillon. I couldn't finish it. I was extremely disappointed and don't see myself returning for the burger. I'll happily stick with my go-to dive bar in Bushwick, where I get a juicy, flavorful burger for $20 and enjoy every bite. Overall, I'm giving Del Frisco's 3 stars because the service and ambiance were truly excellent. If I were rating the food alone, based on this experience, it would unfortunately be a zero. read more

It's such a convenient location, big bar, great service and delicious bites. I came for the "it girl dinner" offer and still can't believe how good of a deal it was. A full size cocktail and more than enough food that I couldn't even eat all the pasta for $25 (yes, $25). We also started with the grilled artichoke app which really was the star of the show. Went there to celebrate after NYU grad ceremony. Never have we ever had so much sodium in one meal! The French onion was beyond salty. All three different steaks were seasoned heavy handed as well. The truffle butter and bourbon bacon butter at $7 a pop went to waste since it added to the saltiness. Everyone came home beyond thirsty throughout the night. Had a great client lunch at Del Frisco's! Our sever was incredibly kind, attentive and gave spot-on recommendations. The seasonings were all wrong and very unbalanced on all dishes to be honest. The creamed spinach was good, but the cheese topping on top was dry and also extremely salty. The mash potatoes were good and the Brussel sprouts were just okay. I honestly was disappointed with the steak because I had to cut around the seasoning on top just to eat it. The bread pudding tasted like a day old muffin. It was really hard and dense, pretty much like a rock. They ran out of cheesecake which was really disappointing so none of us got to try that, so by default we ordered the chocolate cake slice (don't remember the name on the menu) it was very rich. The wine I ordered was good, but I felt it was a little odd they offer 2 different pours, so obv I asked for the bigger one but I've never been asked how many oz I want in my glass. I absolutely love Del Frisco's! I've been to a bunch of their locations, and while this location isn't my favorite, it is definitely the most convenient one for me as it is in close proximity to my job. It's definitely one of my go to restaurants for lunch. Although, I will say if you are coming here for lunch during the day, I highly suggest making a reservation. My go to order is the filet mignon with their truffle butter and a side of mac n cheese. The filet mignon comes in two sizes, and I typically go with the smaller portions size. I order my steak medium well, but very center is usually much more on medium side, so if you're uncomfortable with have a red center, I'd recommend ordering your steak well instead. As for the mac n cheese, it has a great bread crumb crust on top and is the perfect amount gooey goodness underneath. I'm only deducting one star because I've been here a few times and the staff is a bit slow, even when it's not as busy, but everyone is SUPER nice here. read more

So I went and checked in for my reservation and was sat down promptly. That was great hospitality. They brought some table bread. Think they were like soft pretzel buns. I personally would rather some warm Italian bread or dinner rolls. But no biggie. I was there for the steak. I ordered the Filet Minion and baked potato. My friend ordered the Turkey and Mashed potatoes. For dessert we had the Brownie a la mode. The Filet Minion was good. Tasty, juicy and delicious. I enjoyed it. Baked potato was just as delicious. Dressed with butter and cheese. My friend wasn't too crazy about their meal. They mentioned that the turkey was dry and not well seasoned. Gravy wasn't hitting either. This happened at Del Frisco's Grille on Valentine's Day, and it was honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. Our server, bryan didn't greet us for about 10 minutes after we were seated, and when he finally came over, the interaction felt rushed, like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. The entire restaurant looked extremely busy, which I can understand, but it still didn't excuse the lack of attention. At one point, we saw him polishing glasses right beside where we were sitting while we sat there unhappy. When the food arrived, the sides were cold, which was already disappointing, but what made the night worse was that he never came back to check on us or ask how anything tasted. We felt completely ignored the whole evening. Valentine's Day is supposed to feel special, and instead the entire night felt frustrating from start to finish.
