What a great casual spot for dinner after a show on Broadway . It's conveniently located at Rockefeller Center. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for intimate dinners with plenty of seating surrounded by a casual atmosphere. Our server Jordalys was fantastic. We got the dry aged steakhouse burger it's an Angus, Chuck and brisket, melted onions, sharp, white cheddar, and mustard, honey aïoli. Mouthwatering just look at the picture! I haven't been to Del Frisco's Grille in years. The experience was good and I enjoyed my meal. The steak could've used a bit more flavor though. The waiter was very attentive and polite. The restaurant was busy but it wasn't noisy. My favorite part of my meal were enjoying the Cheesesteak Egg rolls and the Margarita drink. The wings were also delicious. Based on the recommendation, I ordered the dry-aged burger with melted cheese, onions, and arugula, plus a side of fries. I was starving and genuinely excited. Unfortunately, the excitement ended with the first bite. The burger wasn't very appetizing to look at, but I gave it a fair shot. Sadly, I couldn't taste the onions, cheese, or arugula at all. What I did taste was an incredibly dry, flavorless patty. I understand what dry-aged means but this felt mummified. The texture and flavor honestly made it taste ancient, like it had been aged for centuries. The best comparison I can make is cardboard lightly seasoned with beef bouillon. I couldn't finish it. I was extremely disappointed and don't see myself returning for the burger. I'll happily stick with my go-to dive bar in Bushwick, where I get a juicy, flavorful burger for $20 and enjoy every bite. Right when I walked in the door, I was greeted by Juliana (I assume the manager) I really hope I remembered her name correctly because she immediately made me feel welcome and celebrated after I told her I had just come from an awards ceremony. My friend ordered the devil eggs which were good, and the meatball had a Thai spin to it. The entrees all had way too much salt. I don't know who was the chef last night but the pork chop was so salty it was hard to eat. My friend ordered the pork chop and I ordered the filet. My filet had waaay too much pepper. The seasonings were all wrong and very unbalanced on all dishes to be honest. The creamed spinach was good, but the cheese topping on top was dry and also extremely salty. The mash potatoes were good and the Brussel sprouts were just okay. I honestly was disappointed with the steak because I had to cut around the seasoning on top just to eat it. The bread pudding tasted like a day old muffin. It was really hard and dense, pretty much like a rock. They ran out of cheesecake which was really disappointing so none of us got to try that, so by default we ordered the chocolate cake slice (don't remember the name on the menu) it was very rich. The wine I ordered was good, but I felt it was a little odd they offer 2 different pours, so obv I asked for the bigger one but I've never been asked how many oz I want in my glass. I absolutely love Del Frisco's! I've been to a bunch of their locations, and while this location isn't my favorite, it is definitely the most convenient one for me as it is in close proximity to my job. It's definitely one of my go to restaurants for lunch. Although, I will say if you are coming here for lunch during the day, I highly suggest making a reservation. My go to order is the filet mignon with their truffle butter and a side of mac n cheese. The filet mignon comes in two sizes, and I typically go with the smaller portions size. I order my steak medium well, but very center is usually much more on medium side, so if you're uncomfortable with have a red center, I'd recommend ordering your steak well instead. As for the mac n cheese, it has a great bread crumb crust on top and is the perfect amount gooey goodness underneath. I'm only deducting one star because I've been here a few times and the staff is a bit slow, even when it's not as busy, but everyone is SUPER nice here. read more

This happened at Del Frisco's Grille on Valentine's Day, and it was honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. Our server, bryan didn't greet us for about 10 minutes after we were seated, and when he finally came over, the interaction felt rushed, like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. The entire restaurant looked extremely busy, which I can understand, but it still didn't excuse the lack of attention. At one point, we saw him polishing glasses right beside where we were sitting while we sat there unhappy. When the food arrived, the sides were cold, which was already disappointing, but what made the night worse was that he never came back to check on us or ask how anything tasted. We felt completely ignored the whole evening. Valentine's Day is supposed to feel special, and instead the entire night felt frustrating from start to finish. This was genuinely one of the most upsetting restaurant experiences I've had in New York, and it had nothing to do with the food. The hostess, Maddie was extremely rude and dismissive from the moment we walked in. We sat at the bar, and when I walked out to the floor and asked her where the restroom was located, she flatly refused and told me the restaurant was "closed" even though it remained open and serving guests for nearly another hour. The interaction felt cold, unnecessary, and honestly humiliating. I'm still trying to understand why I was treated that way. I was wearing warm layers and not dressed up, and I can't help but wonder if that played a role and she was discriminating against me, or if she simply chose to be unkind. Either way, no guest should be made to feel unwelcome or looked down on. What made the experience even more frustrating is that the bartenders were the complete opposite and were very kind, respectful, and genuinely pleasant. They did their best to make us feel comfortable, which only highlighted how bad that first interaction was with Maddie. A hostess is the first face of a restaurant, and unfortunately Maddie completely diminished the experience and the brand for me. I've been to multiple other locations and had good experiences, but after being treated this way by Maddie, I won't be returning.
