Ahoy mates! Delicious steaks and seafood! Always enjoy the food! This isn't fine dining. It's a wonderful place to go out for a nice atmosphere and excellent dinner. Fish camp style!

Captain's Cap is a fish camp. We went there for a friend's birthday in my pirate group. The space was great and they were good with accommodating a large group. The inside vibe is old and the customers seem to be an older crowd as well. There's some ship and fisherman decor, but all seems a little out dated. Service was okay. Pitchers of water and tea were left at the table which cut down on needing refills. Hushpuppies came to the table first. After our trips to the salad bar, our plates weren't cleared which made the table seem crowded. Once the meals arrived, everything was shouted out. And not even five minutes into eating, they already wanted to bring our checks. Just seemed like they wanted to rush us out. The food is greasy and salad bar is unappetizing. The salad is iceberg and has lots of white pieces. Even the tomatoes and cucumbers have a dull color. There's no light dresings. And the cheese tastes like processed cheese. The macaroni salad was okay. Most of the food is deep fried, but you get a lot of it. I ordered the crab cakes with onion rings. I didn't think the crab cakes would be deep fried, but they were. And all of the batters have the same fried taste. The crab cakes had a lot of breading in the mix and the flavor profile was off. Onion rings were super greasy. I didn't eat them all. Honestly, the best part of my meal was our dessert, which someone brought in. I left feeling sick from all the grease. They did an okay job accommodating our group, but the food makes me not want to come back.

Old Stone Steakhouse - Old Stone Slow Roasted Prime Rib with pasta. Despite it being a little overcooked, it was still good. I have eaten here before.

I enjoyed the compound butter and the staff was very friendly and accommodating for us with our toddler. I would absolutely go back. Came to celebrate my husband's birthday, and chose Old Stone because it had a kid's menu and we want a "family friendly fancy" environment. Our server was just, eh. In a way he seemed bothered to have a table. Chalked it up as maybe a bad night, but it didn't enhance our experience. We ordered the pork belly appetizer, and the pork belly itself was burnt and the peaches were mushy - almost baby food texture. A miss for us. The steaks, again, amazing, perfectly cooked - even my daughter's steak tips. The sides however, another miss. The kids fries were mushy, and tasted like they had been sitting out a while. My husband's mashed potatoes tasted like they were instant/from a box and lacked the bright white color or fluffy texture. My wedge salad was drenched in dressing, and the dressing itself was runny. It certainly wasn't what I anticipated for a steakhouse wedge. It seemed like a rushed after thought. The other part that was a letdown - every single plate we were handed was broken. Every single one. When you're paying steakhouse prices, I'd like to see presentable plates. One, sure I could see it slipped by, but every one? That's just laziness on replacing them in my opinion. I'll say it a third time, steaks were delicious...but the rest, well it was just lacking, and not sure the steaks hold their own to justify another trip.

On our last night the area visiting family, we were supposed to have dinner with long (l-o-n-g)…read moretime friends but they had to cancel at the last hour. So we checked locally and discovered a new (to us) Greek restaurant. My wife and I arrived about 7:00 PM on Thursday, after having made an online reservation. When we arrived, plenty of open booths , so we were seated and brought menus. Any new Greek place we must try their Spanakopita so we ordered one to split. We also decided to split a Greek Salad and a Moussaka. Our Spanakopita came quickly. We divided it and tested. Hmm. Not bad, but not what we're used to having. We actually prefer more filo than here. Her salad came and we divided part of it also. It was crisp, cold and yummy. After a bit my Moussaka arrived. To our surprise it came in a custard bowl and looked like a Shepherd's Pie. Unusual since we've always been served Moussaka in squares like a Lasagna. It was fantastic, a perfect blend of meat and vegetables. Of course next we needed dessert. My wife couldn't decide on the Baklava Cheesecake or the Caramel Cheesecake, so she got both! I liked the Caramel but so sweet I had to drink water with it. Good food, nice ambiance. Service a bit slow and told us they did have a military discount, but somehow forgot to use it. There appeared to be huge dividing panel that maybe closed off larger room for special events.

My Husband got his lamb chops medium well and they were perfect too. I savored every bite of it! The steamed broccoli was also seasoned very well and they were not too soft and not too hard either. The Baklava sundae was also a very good amount. Me and someone else shared the dessert and it was fulfilling. (Not pictured) The coffee, cheesecake, hummus dip and more entrees ordered. - The coffee was very strong and bitter. - The cheesecake was really good and all the different types & flavors of the drizzle was good too. - The hummus and pita bread was very good as well! Great taste to the hummus! The ambiance was calm, modern, yet elegant and classy! The service was also top notch. I do like that you have to reserve, because that makes the experience more personal and I loved that part about it! We went to the restaurant after our church service on Sunday around 2PM and when we were leaving, there was just one other party there, that had a reservation but it was so quiet, you would not have been able to tell. If you like something quiet and intimate, this is the place! The restrooms were very clean and beautiful as well. It did not smell very well so possibly some air fresheners would be helpful, but overall, the good outweighed the bad. Everything will never be perfect but this place was a definite 5/5 rating!
