I will not be going here again. Went in for an oil change because I had a coupon for $12 off. They never just want to change the oil and are very pushy too add extra service. The girl technician even took out my cabin air filter and said It needs to be changed. Even though it was still very white and clean. When I declined she put it back in but didn't bother to put the cover back on. Causing cold air to blow in the passenger side even when the heater was on. I do understand they may get commission but when I say "just the oil change" stop pushing. read more

What impressed me most was I never felt pressured or upsold and they are very thorough in their 18 point courtesy check. I'm screenshot a coupon from the website on 1/10/24. It was for a $27 oil change, when I looked on the website while pulling into the oil change center, The coupon was gone. the only coupon was for $10 off, but mine was clearly from your website with the website at the top and the date present and the expiration date was not passed.I got a bunch of back-and-forth over whether the coupon was going to be accepted, I was told that I could not present coupons on my phone. It had to be straight from the website it could not be a screenshot which doesn't make sense because the website gives me the option to save it to my phone. The girl who assisted was really rude and snarky even about the different things that I needed on my car, like an air filter and my brake lights instead of being empathetic and explaining in a helpful way she was more so snotty that I did chose not to receive services from you all. I chose to get a conventional oil change because that was all that I could afford at the time but she made me feel like it was not good enough and that I needed to get a synthetic oil change. I could only get what I could afford.Overall, I was not happy with my experience, but the manager did end up honoring my coupon. Additionally, my girlfriend came here and had the same problem! Do not bring your car here! I recently had my oil changed at this location, soon after I noticed oil leaked on my driveway which the car never had a problem with. Come to find out that they did not tighten the oil filter down and oil was leaking out. It was loose a full turn! The whole underside of my car was covered in oil and has stained my driveway that I just spend thousands replacing. Not to mention if I wasn't perceptive this could have ruined me car if the oil all leaked out. This is a rookie mistake and I will Never be returning to have my oil changed here. After coming here for years i will not be returning ever again. Came in for the usual oil change and asked to have my trans fluid topped off. The new girl working there completed the oil change then proceded to add transmissiom fluid. I make my payment and go on my way. Im driving the next day to work and start to feel transmission slippin and checked the dip stick was bone dry. Obviously the tech did not add the proper ammount of trans fluid. Called corporate to explain the situation. They told me They saw her add 1.5 quarts which is no where near enoigh to top it off. They told me they arents going to help with either parts or labor . I was looking for Oil Express and realized the place changed, I guess these guys bought it out. I got in super fast and they were done in record time. The workers are extremely communicative and the place runs like a well oiled machine (hehe). Honestly though, it's impressive. The only thing that didn't happen is the re-setting of my check engine light that had turned on as a reminder to change my oil. I don't know if they forgot to reset it, but I had already pulled away and had to get back to work so I couldn't go back. I'll have to figure out what to do about that. Took my girlfriend's car to get an oil change on Sunday morning 11/26/23. After turning my car off they asked me to turn my car back on and readjust my position in the bay. Unfortunately the battery died and I was unable to do so. I instantly offered to put it in neutral and back up into a parking spot so I could call someone or walk over to Walmart and buy a battery. I was told no that service has started and that is not aloud. The manager was working with me at this point. She told me she would ask her employees for jumper cables and to jump my car to finish service. Nobody had cables which is hard to believe as they all work on cars for a living but no worries it's my fault that I didn't have any. She then offers to test my battery which they do. She tells me It's not dead but is very close to dead. She then offers me a battery for $240. (I asked why it was so expensive and she told me that THEY are the ONLY ones who offer a 3 year warranty) I teetered on this for a min because she was making me feel like it was my only option. I initially agreed to the battery and shortly after changed my mind as $240 is a ridiculous price. I offered to walk over to Walmart to buy a battery which I was told no this is not aloud and I can't work on my car in their bay and they can't work with parts that aren't theirs, which is understandable. After declining the battery the manager asked me to put my car in neutral and that they would push me into a spot. At this point the key is locked and I'm stuck. The manager then stopped working with me, walking away from the Situation completely and was clearly visibly irritated. She was yelling at her employees who were just trying to help me and other customers at the time. I called someone to come give me a jump and let them know It would take about 25 min which she was clearly agitated at. They went ahead and finished the oil change despite earlier saying that they couldn't do this without the car being able to start. Once my person arrived to jump my car he was able to see that a terminal was loose on the battery and that this is probably what caused the car to die...not the battery being dead. Upon getting the car jumped they checked oil levels and I was on my way. I went home and let the car run and tightened the screw on the terminal. Car has been running perfectly fine since. I also went to Walmart and saw that they offer 1, 3 and 5 year warranty's on batteries lol. Pretty shitty customer service of the manager in my opinion. She treats her employees with no respect when things go south and it felt like she tried to pull a fast one on me. The guy that was helping me was super cool and understandable about my situation. He got yelled at several times by the manager during my visit which should have been handled calmly and in private if they were real issues. (They didn't seem like real issues) read more

Had oil change service on 4/17/2024 at the Martinez location. Oil change was fine although a bit pricey at $135. However, an apparently inexperienced tech crushed MAF/IAT engine harness when removing/replacing air filter for inspection. Truck subsequently displayed 3 air flow and temperature DTC codes. Was repaired by local mechanic for one hour labor plus a few parts. Previously responded to a Valvoline corporate review email but have not received any follow-up that was requested. If you have service done I would suggest oil service only. Do NOT let them touch anything else! read more
