Regarding Vehicle Purchase from The Car House LLC I am writing to express my concerns regarding a vehicle I purchased online from The Car House LLC in New Jersey on July 25, 2025. Unfortunately, the vehicle has proven to be unsafe. After the dealership replaced a cracked windshield, I discovered that the wiper sensor was faulty. During a service visit to Valvoline Instant Oil Change on August 7, 2025, an employee informed me that metal shavings were found in the transmission pan. Additionally, the dealership had agreed to replace a damaged front grill before delivering the vehicle to my apartment; however, they only glued the existing grill instead of providing a new one as promised. Moreover, the driver's headlight is not functioning. On August 9, 2025, I visited Mavis Discount Tire, where I was informed that all four tires are worn and dry-rotted, and that the car shakes when exceeding 40 miles per hour. The technician also noted that the brake pads are nearly worn out. When I returned to Mavis to replace the tires, I learned that the rims are fractured and must be replaced before new tires can be installed. read more

If I could give zero stars to this establishment, I would. We purchased a vehicle from them in February 2021. To date, it is almost three months later and we STILL do not have license plates or our title. They're hesitant to assist in any way, shape or form. When the second license plate they gave us was stolen from our car, we called to request a new plate only to be told that unless they see the police report they cannot issue us anything. They even insisted we get a duplicate despite the fact that I informed them that the tag is now tied to NYPD alarms to trigger at borders and tolls. Now we need to get a THIRD temporary plate and the guy who was helping us as of today, oddly enough the day our plate is due, no longer works there. I was about to buy a car online from The Car House LLC. The salesman, Javier, was good to deal with. However, management and ownership is horrible. The car seemed to have a dent and a scratch. So Javier called me on video to show me the car and it showed no dent or scratch on the first video. They asked me for a $2000 to hold the car, I agreed to it as I was decided to buy the car supposing everything was as informed. They told me they would send info about the car to my broker right after I send the $2000 to hold the car. Then a day passed by and my broker told me no info has been sent to him. So I called Javier and then he told me management wants a full payment before releasing information (first red flag). Then I told him I won't be sending a full payment if not having info about the car. So they decided to detail the car and get it prep to ship it to me (again, no info). Javier and I talked again on video and on this one, after the car was washed, a big scratch showed up on the front driver's side. So I told them that was not disclosed and it either needed to be fixed or discount to the value a shop would charge to get it fixed. They told me that the price was already discounted for that scratch and it was on me to fix it (11am communication). At that point I asked for me money back and called the deal off (my right). Also the carfax showed some questionable information not disclosed to me. So at that point I believe the title wasn't cleaned and didn't feel comfortable with that car. They were rushing me for the money, for the full payment constantly like if it was an obligation to buy the car. So sales manager called me like at almost 10pm to tell me I must buy the car or I would lose my $2000. He said he would fix the scratch after receiving the payment (hello!!). I am still fighting for my money back and will fight with the full power of the law as they were hiding information from me. Be careful people! Before i paid for the car I asked if there was any kind of a warranty and they told me I had 30 days to return the car if anything was wrong with the car and wanted to return it. I found that the driver seat was broken, the motor mounts were broken, one of the struts was bent and was cause the tire to wear out, and it needed 2 tires. I tried to call the dealer several times and they answered the phone one time and told me that they were busy with customers and will call me back. Reported them to the attorney general. They sold me a 2012 Equinox that had numerous issues which the promised to fix as soon as I signed the contract to buy the car. The contract had numerous superfluous clauses, one being a service plan. I had to get a lot of repairs done and neither Car House nor the service plan paid a dime. It all came out of my pocket. So I cancelled the service contract and was supposed to get my money back. Except the service contract shows Car House as the owner of the car and not the actual owner. So the $1k refund went to Car House and not the person who paid for it. So yeah... AG heard about it. On top of that there was a serious problem with the axel that could have caused death or serious injury which Car House did not care about. They are evil people who do not deserve your business. I was able to purchase a nice, mechanically working 2010 Mazda3 for my teenage daughter in December, 2021. Unfortunately, the level of post-purchase customer service at The Car House of Butler is indescribable. This car dealership is run by unprofessional young adults, worse than a preschool setting. My calls and emails were never returned or replied back to by Omar, the salesperson/manager, on the following: I never received a copy of the purchased vehicle's 90-day warranty. Documentation was given to show the tires' condition. I was promised replacement tires due to the bold tires on my vehicle, but they were never replaced by the dealership. I was not given a second set of keys or a set of wheel key locks. The dealership did not have the vehicle's title at the time of purchase and the title was never sent to the DMV for reassignment. I had to track down the title on my own. Oil changes were never done. I requested an oil change sticker for proof of service, but they would not do it. The car was not cleaned/detailed prior to pick-up day. Documentation fee, oil change and car detailing are priced on the bill of sale. My plans are to report my experiences with The Car House of Butler in the form of a complaint to the Better Business Bureau @ bbb.org, the NJ Division of Consumers Affairs @ njconsumeraffairs.gov, the NJ MVC @ 6092926500 and create more reviews. I have never written a review before, but I am writing this one to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with my experience with Mike, the owner of the dealership in Bloomingdale, NJ that is under the umbrella of The Car House. I found this vehicle on CarGurus and went to look at it because it advertised free delivery to my location because I was within 25 Miles. When I got to the dealership, Mike said that was incorrect and that he would not deliver it to me. I had a rental car at the time because I had just moved to New Jersey and although this was advertised and would have been appreciated, it was not a deal breaker. I ended up buying a 2009 Cadillac CTS Sedan. Literally minutes after driving off the lot it's been a nightmare. I understand that a used car from 2009 is not going to be perfect, however, before I even left the lot, he agreed to fix some issues with the brakes (squealing), the front drivers side tire was grinding and popping, the stability track and brakes lights were on, and the door locks do not work properly and need to be manually locked from each door. To this day, those problems still are not been fixed. Within 30 minutes after leaving the lot I had Transmission issues, which he did fix...the car started running rough and the check engine light came on all that same day. I limped it back to the shop because he refused to tow it back even though he gave me a 30-day warranty on major parts... I would think the Transmission slipping counts as major. He replaced a single spark plug twice because the problem kept happening and now it at least drives. The repairs took hours on consecutive Fridays on my only days off and after hundreds of dollars on Uber and rental cars the check engine light, brake light and stability track lights are all still on!! On top of the original problems never being fixed, I found out two days ago (the first day of real rain) that the sunroof leaks like a waterfall into the driver's seat. Now that my "30 day" warranty is up, which was on 7/13/22 he won't even return my texts or phone calls. I have reached out to The Car House team on 7/15/22, they said "let us see what we can do"... it's now 8/17/22, and not a word from them. I've given them a month to make this right before posting this review. I have never bought a vehicle that so much went wrong so quickly, and it feel as though I was sold a lemon that they tried to pass off as a rose. The day my dad was released from the hospital in Boston following his surgeries we lost the car due to a bad engine. It stalled out at a light and would not turn back on. We were stuck in Boston until we got a ride back home and had to tow the car back to Springfield. We had been looking for a car since and finally he was approved for a car by The Car House. We had a deposit down and they said we had been approved so we started getting ready to drive to New Jersey (a three hour drive) when they call us back just to say they had sold the car.
