Sausage and Shishito (close) Mushroom (far)

This pizza is good. Has a light feeling to it but at the same time hearty and shall I say healthy...okay when it comes to pizza. Not greasy, can taste all the ingredients, nicely priced. We got there a bit before they opened on a Friday and there were some others already waiting too. The group of us there right at opening was the biggest rush. While we were there a couple peeps came in after but granted this was 3-4p so don't know around dinner time. Order at the counter and pizzas came out pretty quick however could see it getting backed up if busy. Was hoping they would have pies like some older photos but doesn't appear they do anymore however still definately recommend if you're into pizza and around the area.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here! First off... expect to wait. These individual pizzas are each hand crafted and cooked in a small but mighty badass over. It is not mass produced or underprepared and it is guaranteed to taste better than any other pizza you've ever had. Bring your patience be respectful to the staff. They prepare a limited number of dough dependent on the day of the week and the season. There is a strong likelihood that if you show up at 6:00p on a Saturday in summer... they will have no pizza dough. We arrived at 4:30p and they only had 15 left. The wife and I ordered and waited for a table open up. We knew the wait would be over an hour so we shared a salad while we waited and we chatted with friends. Inside the restaurant offers limited seating so most folks seem to get their pizza to-go. All 4 of us loved this pizza, it was epic. I cannot wait to come back when it slows down a bit and there isn't a line of people waiting to get in right when they open. I highly recommend giving them a go.

Great cup pepperoni pizza!

We've been wanting to try this place ever since we saw they serve sour dough crust pizzas! This is a cool old building with lots of history. The staff was very friendly and the pizza was great! We had the classic pepperoni and also the Brussels Sprouts & Bacon pizza, both were great! Give th

What an experience! Wait times are super long for the pizza. They sell out of dough pretty quick, so get there early but also be ready to wait in line. After placing your order, be prepared to wait for an hour to hour 30 for your pizza(s) to be ready. The dough is amazing! I got the pesto and mushroom. The pizza overall was really good, but not worth the wait. There are also limited seating options so you have to wait or take your pizza to-go and eat outside. Dough was soft, thin and just delicious! May be back here if I'm in the area.

We heard this was one of the best pizzas in the state so had to come check it out. Arrived 5 minutes before they opened at 3pm on a Saturday. There was already a line forming at the door, but not that long. Once the doors opened everyone went in to claim a table. You order at the bar. We got a caesar salad, the margherita pizza, and the mixed mushroom pizza. The salad came out first and, not to be dramatic, but this was the best caesar salad I've had. The croutons were so crispy and the dressing mixed in was the perfect amount! Then the pizzas came out. I have to say that the sourdough base was so good - light, chewy, and also crispy at the same time. There wasn't that much sauce or cheese on either pies. The mixed mushroom was good, but it felt like the pizza and the mushrooms were separate - there wasn't enough sauce or cheese to really meld everything together. I preferred the margherita even though I love mushrooms. The basil on the margherita was cooked and I enjoyed that a lot. Our total was about $55 dollars. I'd say it was worth the hour drive to try it!

I haven't posted in awhile because I want to focus on places that really stand out. The Carlson Block randomly came across my feed one day and I took a moment to watch their story. That was the catalyst that sent me and my husband on a road trip to a small quaint town called Wilkeson to try their wood fired pizza. Let me just say that the Carlson Block was on point. They had great service with a cool local vibe serving artisan food! The pizza was so good and the staff were very nice! If you want to try great pizza, I recommend putting them in your "places I want to go" list! Reasonable prices, family friendly and yummy food!

How did I not know about this place before and it's only about 30min away from where I live. I guess I've never been to Wilkeson before. Small quaint town. If you blink you'll miss it. Read about it Carlson Block on some media outlet, said let's go try it! Really neat building, you order at the counter and seat yourself. Now onto the pizza....great selection to choose from. Not your average pizza joint, so I was a bit overwhelmed with what to choose from the menu. The staff and local patrons helped me. I ended up ordering 1/2 roasted veggies add pepperoni, and the other half fennel & sausage. Wow it was really good! Mind you this is not something I'd normally order at a pizza place. I thought the fennel was going to be fennel seeds. Nope fresh fennel which was a 1st for me. Sauce and crust equally delicious. Also ordered the block wedge salad. It too was really good with that candied bacon and blue cheese crumbles. Kinda a pain to eat in a to go box, but I guess that's how everything is served there. Enjoyed our pizza & salad with a cold coke in a glass bottle and a beer. Can't wait to go back to try something else.

Awesome. Probably the best pizza in WA. We got the mushroom, the Soppressatta and a cheese for our son. Simple, fresh and a delight. The mushroom had garlic and olive oil, very nice. The Soppressatta was spicy with incredible red sauce base. Authentic and wood fired. Price was perfect, landing right around $15/18 each. We also got their homemade ice cream and wow! Service was friendly and kind. What a gem this place it! A+, we will be back!

Lots of old fashioned root beers and other sodas to choose from.

The hype is real. Amazing pizza. But what blew us away by far was the sausage and kale dip. The owners mom recommended it and of course, she knows what she is talking about. She is so nice and welcoming and obviously proud of her son. We had known about The Carlson Block ever since we moved to Bonney Lake over a year ago. And in fact drove there randomly one day not knowing the limited hours. So we missed our chance. This time, we made sure to get there on a Saturday and 30 min before they open there were already people in line. But we were committed. We NEED to try this pizza. I don't know if the flavors will blow everyone away but the quality, the love, the combinations and my god, the dough. It's so on point. It tastes so fresh. And there is something to say about their business model of scarcity. They are not open every day and are only open a few hours a day and as far as I know, once they sell 75 pizzas, that's it. Sold out. This method generates demand IMO. It's special. You can only get it for a limited time so while we may have been the 3rd family in line that day, by the time we left, the line went from the register to the door. It's working. Whatever he is doing is working. You love to see it. Also, great video they put out on social media!

Best pizza around! Worth the drive if you are out of the area. We had the cheese dip with crusty cheese bread, and the fennel and sausage pizza. Recommend the ranch to dip in, they make it in house and it's so good! We also got the roasted strawberry ice cream to take home. It's made in house, flavors change frequently, but don't leave without taking some home with you! It was so creamy and delicious! Keep in mind that they make the dough the night before, so when they run out it's closing time, which is sometimes as early as 5pm.

Definitely a fantastic spot, especially if you are trying to eat or be more healthy conscious but still have a flavorful meal!

I thought this was a one off, but it turns out that even when you order online and go to pickup the order, the staff will triple check your order. The restaurant is clean and orderly, with music playing in the background. Today, I had the build your own salad. I can say that they have some of the freshest ingredients to build a salad and the options are numerous in your choices to build a salad. I decided to add tuna to my salad. I thought this would be a great touch to such a fresh salad. The Caesar dressing was good and went well with the salad. The most disturbing part of this salad was the tuna. As it turns out, the tuna is canned with a strong fishy smell and flavor. I had assumed that the tuna with be cubed or sliced. This is a great place for vegans and vegetarians as well. Now, the fishy taste of the tuna was so string that I immediately brushed my teeth to get the taste out of my mouth. Please keep in mind that these salads start at $12-15 dollars plus the add-ons you like. Since I love salads, I had many extras and the salad was $26. My only regret was that I could not give back the tuna. I will try this place again, but for god sake change the tuna or skip it all together.

Very classic American diner meets country farmer's market vibes. The menu was huge, with every flavor of soda imaginable. There were also options to add alcohol. The barista was very friendly, although she did seem a little peeved by my having no idea how to order. I explained that I'd never been to a soda shop before. I'd actually been expecting something more like a gift shop full of bottles of soda, versus an actual soda and drink bar. I asked her if she could just do like a cream soda. She said I could pick any flavor, and then she could add cream or not. In retrospect, I wanted vanilla. But, I also wanted to try something a little different, so I ordered almond. If I could do it over, I think I would do half and half, but sugar free. The flavor was good, but the sweetness was overpowering, and left me feeling even more thirsty. It was about six dollars for a sixteen ounce, which does seem kinda high for that amount of ice, syrup, carbonated water, and cream. However, I also felt really bad for the girl, as she mentioned that business had tanked since the closure of the Fairfax and Enumclaw bridges. Anyway, the soda was tasty, and I would definitely recommend stopping by if soda bars are your thing.
