My parents are the carpet guy. I may be a little bias in writing this review because they are my parents. First of all my parents have had this business since before I was born and I'm 31! They are carpet cleaning machines! Idk how they do it and at their age! I help my parents sometimes with the business and let me tell you it is not easy work! I'm so happy they have their business in the Santa Barbara area now. The people of Santa Barbara are just the ideal people to work for. To all the customers who have hired my parents and have written reviews here on Yelp. You guys are awesome. It's crazy how much knowledge my dad (the carpet guy) has on cleaning carpets. I keep telling him he needs to write a book on carpet cleaning because he is a carpet genius. I mean if you do it for over 35 years you're going to be an expert haha. He knows just what chemicals to use how much water pressure for different types of carpet. This man is an "EXPERT". My mom Irene (the carpet girl) lol. She is a Wonder Woman. Idk how she does it. From scheduling jobs to watching her work man she's a beast. Best thing about their business is seeing the expression on the customers face when the job is completed. They make carpet look brand new and it's awesome that people will wait weeks for my parents to return to their home for a cleaning. I called Mark & Irene to clean my entire home pre-sale. A family of 5 had lived there for about 20 years, including pets...so you can guess that the off-white carpets were very Off white! There were I thought "permanent" stains, but the Carpet Guy and his lovely wife went to work and got out EVERY STAIN!!! I have never seen two people work so hard. They actually did a lot of lifting, clearing items off the carpet in order to reach every possible inch to clean. They are perfectionists in the good sense. I cannot recommend them highly enough! WOW, Where do I start? Im a 21 year retired Army Veteran and I am used to high standards. The Carpet Guy Mark and Irene just cleaned my carpets and I'm still in Awww on how great the carpets look. I can't say enough good things about Irene and Mark of The Carpet Guy. Their work is exemplary. Our carpets had not been cleaned thoroughly in quite a while so they had their work cut out for them! But I can honestly say our carpets are now, far and away, the cleanest they have ever been. Every stain gone and cat odors eliminated! It's like we have all new carpeting in the house! What can I say about Mark and Irene...I love them to the moon and back. I only wish I could have my carpets dirty more often, I usually use them twice a year, but if I could I would have them clean my carpets every month. Hi, Mark and Irene was recommended by my neighbor, she loved their work so much that when I needed my carpet done I tried them. They were very professional yet friendly but most importantly they did an excellent job. My carpet looked brand new and the spots do not come back like they do with other carpet cleaners. These guys are great!!! They are reasonably priced (cheaper than the last cleaners I used) and are the most wonderful people!! They were so sweet to my cat, let her out of the bathroom when they were finished, and they took great care with my home. My carpets look amazing! They got all the ash and cat throw up stains out. The carpets look amazing!!! I did lots of research and am so happy that we went with them. We have lighter carpets and three indoor cats. It's been a while since the carpets have been cleaned and so there were lots of stains. The stains are gone, the cat odor is gone and the carpets look great.
