Wings cooked to order, enjoyed the wait for fresh hot food. Taco Tuesday starts at 3 pm. Specials listed on sandwich board outside. Casual bar atmosphere. Great music selection on electronic jukebox. Blue cheese dressing housemade and delicious!

The garlic parm wings were some of the best I've had in a long time - dry rub, fresh grated parm on top.

The bar tender helped me right away and was super friendly and helpful. Found out he is an army vet (thank you for your service sir! ) and had been working in the food industry ever since. I ordered a tasty local IPA and the half sandwich and soup meal. Got the melted cheddar and turkey sandwich with a cup of their house made chili. The chili was fantastic, could've used a bit more portion wise, but I'll let that go. Sandwich was good too. The beer was super fresh. The bar tender told me they just had their lines cleaned out. Lot to be said for a bar that stays on top of that. Would make a menu suggestion to the good folks at Carolina Ale....French Dip....just saying....I think you guys could knock that one outta the ballpark! Bottom line, great lunch, great service! Will definitely be back!

I have visited multiple times throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs and, while the servers and other…read morestaff members have consistently been friendly and helpful, I have repeatedly had negative interactions with the hostess. During one game, the audio in the section where I was seated stopped working ten min into the game and was extremely quiet. Several guests in the area were discussing the issue. When I approached the hostess to ask about it, I was told there was no problem and was essentially told I was incorrect. About 30 minutes later, after another guest mentioned it to their waitress, the issue was fixed. Every time I have come in after that game, she has been repeatedly unwelcoming to me and the people with me. Most recently, I came in with my boyfriend for the game and asked for a table for two. Before I could finish speaking, a different hostess interrupted me and said, "I can put you outside." I politely asked if it was possible to join a waitlist or sit at the bar instead. The response I received was, "I just told you that you can sit outside, that's it," delivered with a raised voice and an unfriendly attitude. At that point, both my boyfriend and I felt unwelcome and chose to leave. I understand that game days are busy and stressful, and I am always patient and respectful with staff. However, these repeated interactions have made me hesitant to return despite otherwise enjoying the restaurant and having positive experiences with the servers and other employees. I wanted to share this feedback because I believe customer service, especially at the host stand, plays a major role in guests' experiences.

We were there for lunch and wanted to try everything. I ordered the Muffalotta with she crab soup. I ordered the 1/2 Muffalotta and I was sure glad I did. It was huge. Ended up taking some home. Unlike the ones I've had in NOLA, this sandwich was grilled. And I loved it! Added an extra crunch and melty cheese. Yum. My husband ordered The Taste of Loisianna. Serving sizes were plenty. He opted for the gator instead if shrimp. After trying everything. Our favorite was the sausage and beans. It had the best flavor. The jambalaya was very rice heavy. And the gumbo was just ok. Nothing was overly spiced. We met one of the owners on our way out. He mentioned they are hoping to add steam tables. This would allow them to offer oysters and shrimp. So keep an eye out for this! It was be a great addition!!!

The menu online as I write says the 12 oz. 28 day aged ribeye is $29.89 including grilled mushrooms, roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes. I recall being slightly disappointed that baked potatoes were no longer an option, but the food was so good, that was not an issue. Service was good, the food was good. I thought it was worthy of the occasion. I have been to this store on at least 6-8 previous visits, although I did not usually get steak. I usually got one of their sandwiches. I liked all those I've had. There is another CAH closer to me that gets terrible reviews. It's worth it to me to drive a little further and go to a store that has given me good food and service on multiple occasions.

Carolina Ale House Review - 3/5…read more It was our last day in town, and we wanted something quick while still getting a taste of some local favorites. Since Carolina Ale House was close to where we were staying, we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere definitely had that classic ale house vibe, with plenty of local beers on tap along with other familiar beer options. It felt like a nice casual spot to unwind and grab a bite. We all ordered something different, which was nice for variety. I had the hibachi shrimp, while the others had tacos with chips, and my son kept it simple with chicken tenders and fries. The food overall was okay, but my dish was a little disappointing. Everything on my plate--between the soup, pilaf rice, broccoli, and shrimp--seemed to carry almost the exact same flavor, so I didn't really get to enjoy the distinct hibachi taste I was expecting. One highlight for me was definitely the spicy margarita--the flavor was delicious. My husband also really enjoyed the "Ale Yeah" 16 oz. Bloody Mary along with one of the local North Carolina draft beers, which was a nice touch. Our server, Trevan, did a great job taking care of us. He was accommodating, attentive, and made sure we had what we needed throughout our visit, which we appreciated. Overall, I'd rate this place a 3/5. It was a decent stop for a casual meal and drinks, but the food could have had a bit more flavor separation and wow factor

THEN Brooklyn came over and said that although her section was on the other side of the restaurant, she was happy to help, and to not hesitate to get her attention if we needed anything, or any refills. However, we never had to because she was on it!!! She has such a great personality, and works efficiently, yet without ever feeling rushed. She also gives her honest opinion about menu items, without ever criticizing anything in particular, but definitely won't steer you wrong or sound fake about it. She was able to take what had started out as a bad experience and turn the situation around. We had an absolute blast and the food was delicious. While I dinged the overall review, Brooklyn is awesome and she gets a full 5 stars!

Most of the waitresses had nose rings or colored hair, which really isn't my thing but good on them. My waitress was very nice, but forgot I was there while taking to friends at the bar. Also their wifi went down while I was there so I had to pay cash. Again, this is exactly what I expected and I might return for the Monday night football game!

When we first walked in, I immediately noticed how dirty the glass doors were going into the restaurant and then again between the restaurant and the outdoor seating area, they could definitely use a deep cleaning. Our server was very friendly as well. She recommended a good drink & we ordered drinks and she took our food order pretty quickly. We started out with the Philly Cheesesteak Eggrolls, and ordered the Hot Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Cuban that they had on the specials menu. The food came out fairly quickly, but we were missing items and the server was nowhere to be found, so we decided to split our meals so we could both try each sandwich. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls were OK, they were a little on the mushy side and didn't really have a whole lot of flavor. Could definitely have used some peppers inside the rolls and/or maybe a spicy ranch dip rather than plain ranch. The chicken sandwich was really good and so were the sweet potato fries. I would've liked to have tried the Cuban when it was fresh, but I was missing an item so I didn't want to try it without it. Luckily with having an appetizer and splitting one of the sandwiches, it ended up being plenty of food, and since my sandwich was missing something, we just decided we would take it home. The server did not come back to our table to check on us or our food until we were completely done with one of the meals. She did bring out the missing item and to go boxes for the leftovers. Overall, the food was OK, definitely a "chain" style restaurant. I won't go out of my way to go back.
