This is a great sports bar and p a short walk away from the bell tower. There is free parking across and slightly up the street right off the Oberlin/Pullen/Groveland Circle. There is outside seating on the sidewalk along Oberlin between Hillsborough and the circle. Great Sports bar menu. I love their hamburgers and corn beef Reuben sandwich. They will substitute salads for fries to keep us all healthy. The staff is always great. They make your experience very nice. I will be back again.

First time here, one of the best burgers I've ever had! Delicious! The sausage dip is delicious - I make a similar one at home, called crack dip. Our server, Lily, was friendly and right on top of things. The ambiance is very cool - so nostalgic. Parking is close by and the lot fills up fast! Outdoor seating available, too.

What a great place to have a casual meal and a cold beer! I would call this a Beer Bar with a lot of character! Growing up in the 60's and 70's in Pittsburgh we all had a Beer Can collection! Well here the tradition continues on, I found my go to Iron City Steel Beer Can on the wall. I'm sure you will find your... go to as well. Walk around and look at the aquariums and everything else on the walls. I got a draft to start off with and it was nice and cold! For appetizers we got the Sampler, with Chicken Fingers, jalapeños Poppers, wings and ribs. The ribs, fell right off the bone... very good! I got a Cheeseburger with Onion Rings. Very good! Our waiter was awesome and always checked up on us. Now the feel good part.... The owner stopped by a couple of time to chat with us and he made us feel special!

30 years ago I ate here often withe engineering buddies. Always got the Gabby burger. But then I moved away. It's not often I remember food from 30 years ago, but this place is special, a staple for locals around NC State. My daughter is now moving here. The menu is much the same and I took my daughter here to introduce her. We sat outside, what a pleasant evening. The food was great and the service was too. I'll come here every time I visit. My daughter loved it too.

We came here late at night for a bite to eat with friends in town, and it hit the spot. Great atmosphere with way too many TVs lol, awesome waiter named Matt, and lit hotdog! I got mine with relish, mustard, kraut, and ketchup. My husband got the BLT and loved it. We can't wait to go back!

My husband put me onto this place! It's downtown Raleigh in a nice secluded area. The few times I've eaten here has been to go but the food hits every time. So far I can vouch for the cheeseburgers, grilled chicken club sandwiches, wings, chicken tenders, pasta salad, fries & onion rings AND the sweet tea! I will say the Buffalo sauce on the wings is extremely underwhelming, it tasted more like mild sauce as I was able to let my 3 year eat the wings because they weren't hot at all. I love hot food! Also, the salad was good but for $7 I expected a lot more salad but other than that, we like this place! Staff is always friendly when we order and pick up our food. They answer the phone and the wait times aren't crazy, I appreciate that!

All I wanted was a drink and a laid back atmosphere and that's what they delivered. First off, they carded me, meaning verified my vaccination status and gave me a button to wear. Much appreciated. They only had one cider so I got the stem hibiscus cider which was not to sweet and not too dry. It was like Goldilocks- just Right! I had 2 while I ate poppers which are bacon wrapped cheese filled jalapeños with ranch dressing for dipping. There was 7 in an order which was an ample portion. The first 6 were mild and tasted great dipped in the dressing. Then I let my guard down and the 7th popper kicked my tail. Hottest jalapeño pepper I remember eating. Needed 2 waters to get my mouth cooled down and still tasted the heat when I belched on my long brisk walk after my PR stop. Good place to grab a drink and relax. Thanks!

For my boxes, I selected the Tobacco Road Club and the turkey sandwich. Neither sandwich arrived dressed (pesto mayo, honey mustard), nor did they put dressings on the side. To be clear, absolutely no one in my group received dressed sandwiches. Fortunately, we found some ranch in the office fridge to share, but even still, the club had no cheese so it was essentially just floppy, sad meats with white bread, and the turkey could not have been more bland if they tried. The side salads that came with them were mediocre at best, and the dressing was not great, either. Literally the only good thing I can say is that the chocolate chip cookies were tasty. I have to wonder if they even make those in house. I was not the one to place the order and I'm glad there was no money out of my pocket, but geesh, if they're going to offer boxed lunches, they could try to be a touch more inventive. Perhaps their other food or their ambiance is good, but I'll never know because you couldn't pay me to try them again after that sad food day.

I personally had the Durham Bulls burger, which was amazing and met my standards (you can't go wrong with freshly ground meat in house)! The highlight of my experience was our tender by a long mile. He alone tended to the entire room and was a very personable and detail oriented server. I went for lunch with a friend on a very cold Tuesday in January. I looked through the flip card…read moretable tent and noticed that the January special is Shrimp and Grits. It sounded hearty and perfect for a cold January day, so I ordered it. The Shrimp and Grits dish consists of shrimp and andouille sausage in a low country gravy over creamy grits. The dish was perfectly spiced--not too hot, just the right balance of heat and flavor. The shrimp were tender, and the smoky andouille sausage added just the right kick. Coupled with the Lowcountry gravy, the shrimp, andouille, and creamy grits came together beautifully, making this a deeply satisfying dish, full of Southern soul. I paired this with a cranberry and club--perfectly made, with the tart juice blending seamlessly with the soda. My friend had the Carolina Dog, at my recommendation (I've had this all-beef Old North State masterpiece here before) and thought it was delicious. My receipt said that Party was my server--maybe Patty, maybe Party--but all I know is that she was great. She was nice, friendly, a great conversationalist, attentive, and a pleasure. It was very cold outside, but our booth was very warm and comfortable. Every time I come, I notice something new--today it was the Chelsea banner on the ceiling. This is a great bar and grill with a warm, fitting atmosphere. Another very fine experience and yet another reason to return.

There were lots of dogs present in the covered outdoor seating, including one sitting at the table with its humans. I tried the Freedom Dip, which was really just a French Dip served with French Onion Soup instead of au jus. It came with a very generous serving of roast beef and was served warm with melted cheese. The sandwich was good, although I think the French Onion Soup really didn't go very well; serving it with au jus would have been a better fit. My dining companion tried the The Bogart, basically a marinated chicken breast sandwich. Like my sandwich, the serving size was very generous. She rated it as good but not exceptional. Both of us thought the house-made potato chips were good, but felt that some of the chips weren't thoroughly cooked. Our server was having a bad day and complained about the workload. She explained that if they had enough people working, she would have done a better job taking care of us. For what it is, My Way Tavern is good. If the service had been a bit better, it would have earned a 4-star review.

Sweet, salty, buttery chaos in the best way. For the main, I went with the pork chop and greens. The chop leaned a little overcooked for me personally, but the sauce helped bring things back together and added good flavor. The greens had a nice little kick of heat, but I kept waiting for that deep smoky ham hock flavor to show up like an old Southern grandma entering the kitchen... and it never quite arrived.
