From the moment we met Jocelyn and Jared and tasted their food, we knew they were the right caterers for us. From the freshly baked sourdough Roman-style pizza and the seafood paella to the fried chicken, brisket, and everything in between, these two know how to prepare amazing food for large groups of people, serve it fresh and hot, and make your wedding feel like their only priority. Let's start with the wedding itself. Their range of menu options and bar service is so vast that you will surely find what you're looking for. And if you don't, they are more than willing to adapt to your desires. We worked together to create the best menu for our big day and it came together perfectly. The photos you see online are real. The food is not only delicious but served beautifully. And they work with the Owls Hoot Barn (among other venues in the area) all the time so have everything perfectly coordinated with the venue. We also hosted our Friday night welcome party and Sunday family brunch at their pub, and it was the perfect location, set five minutes from where our guests were staying. They were so hospitable and accommodating and went the extra mile to prepare the venue for our guests and make it the most beautiful, special spot for these moments. Not to mention the food, which was amazing. Their fee includes everything, so there are absolutely no surprises. Their staff is wonderful. They do it all, from food to the bar, from small gatherings to large affairs. We feel like family and look forward to eating at their pub for many years to come. The decor of The Cask and Rasher is old fashioned, authentic and wide-spaced. Their safe procedure of COVID-19 was well-planned, the staff wrote down the contact information of every customer and sanitized tables after dining. The staff was friendly. In order to keep social distance, customers need to order via scanning a QR code on each table to access the menu. There wasn't a great variety of options but enough as a bar. We had their Brisket Nacho, Smoked Drum and a side of salad. We love the brisket, which was cooked tender and flavorful. However the drum was kind of dry and hard to chew. Came here with a friend midweek,early evening. We sat at the bar. Service was quick and polite. This place is mostly craft beer so I went with a can of Stella. It seemed most mainstream beers were served in cans. I ordered the garlic parm wings and my friend, a burger. She said her burger was very good. My wings were very meaty and flavorful, but I thought a bit underdone. When we walked in we were basically alone. We didn't stay long because it suddenly got crowded and loud. The ambiance and the servers of this spot are the redeeming qualities. We came to this place for a wedding tasting (as they were a preferred caterer). The food was incredibly greasy, very heavy. Also, the catering menu does not include any dessert, which I found odd. They served an "indian" dish of daal - which tasted like the costco version just warmed up. Even with the subpar food we decided to inquire about how we could create a menu with them. The owners are unresponsive, and completely ghosted us - even after several follow ups (perhaps we weren't a high-enough paying customer for them?). Got the chicken tenders and fries, and they give you a bunch of food!! The chicken tenders was pretty much just fried chicken, and much bigger pieces than I expected. The chicken was a bit bland so I did need some of the honey mustard sauce. Pretty crisp chicken but lacking in taste unfortunately. An overall okay experience. read more

Service lacking, waitress as normal gave more attention to the table of 5 over a table of 2, wrong on every level, sat for over 10 minutes before we were asked if ready, sorry but that is incompetence. The outside is very unassuming, it just looks like your neighborhood bar. Don't be fooled. There's patio seating but we sat inside. It is loud! Don't expect to carry on any meaningful conversation, but as parents we don't really mind much, it drowns out our kids being loud. They had me at 5 ciders on tap! I tried the draft Doc's sour cherry hard cider. Oh, how have I not known you in my life? Delicious! I'm already looking for places to buy this seasonal cider in bottles. Came with a side of corn chips with queso, sour cream and salsa. I'm a Texas girl, good luck impressing me with your queso but this was quite good. The quesadillas were grilled nicely. One of my sons got the Mac and cheese without bacon. It came in a skillet, good flavor and creamy. My husband got buffalo chicken nachos and didn't seem too impressed but he tried my other son's cojo chicken quesadillas and said they were very good. 4 of us with app and 4 extra drinks(1 alcoholic) and tip was about $85. I dig this place for its relaxed atmosphere, and the great service... I ordered the Garlic Parmesan and Cojo wings. LOVED the Cojo wings!!! It had a great kick to them. My hubby ordered the Steakhouse Burger (all burgers are made with FRESH ground chuck and a short rib blend) which was very good...I ordered the Limbtwister which had bacon, sautéed jalapeños, and a SLAB of cream cheese (does that rock or what?!!) both came with a side of their Awesome hand cut fries. I ordered the Mac and Cheese for our daughter, the serving was generous, but lacking taste...needed more seasonings. This place is horrendous. I was a part of a reservation for a large party. They sat us all outside and it was freezing. No heat lamps or anything. My table was the first to arrive and waited until they took our orders. They served everyone else except for our table. And our table was the last to be served. Granted I do understand we have to wait for a large party but they deliberately placed our order last even though we were the first to arrive. The black bean burger was atrocious. It had bits of hard inedible pieces in the patty that were hard as rocks!!! My friend had a regular burger that was extremely over cooked even it was specified for it to be medium. The burger patty was broken in half. It was supposed to come on a pretzel bun but it ended up on a regular bun. The waitress never informed us. The greens and beans soup had straight up cooked lettuce as the green!!! Who does that? It was soggy lettuce in soup. Did they get a E. Coli discount? Honestly they do have a huge selection of beers and alcohol. The food is only good maybe if you were drunk. Traveling for work. Hotel was in the middle of nowhere, and was nervous there wasn't anything around. Stumbled upon this place, and so glad I did. This was my 3rd attempt for this place....cause....how can you go wrong with corned beef and cabbage and it was more local than other choices. It was also the last time I go. They were out of corned beef and cabbage, 3 hours after opening, and offered me shaved corned beef. Our food took about an hour, came out on paper products. The carrots, potatoes and cabbage (what cabbage??) were mushy and cold, got a nice cold bun too. The burgers only came in one temperature (bad sign there) and were so thin my brother mentioned "White Castle". The service was poor enough to leave an inadequate tip which I hate to do. My previous experiences here were no better. A veggie nacho turned out to be mostly cheese slathered over beans with hints of onions and tomatoes. We stopped in after paddling on the Hudson river to this friendly little pub. On a Tuesday night taco night it was fairly busy they have a beautiful outside seating are an awesome beer craft beer selection on the scrolling screen. Although we called ahead with reservations no one seemed interested in seating us. It took a long time to get a beer at the bar and they took regulars before us after waiting 10 minutes to get the bartenders attention. Once we got settled in outside it was quite pleasant. You can get one dollar tacos; of course salsa sour cream or extra increasing the price. The wings are excellent and this is coming from a wing snob. If you have a hankering for comfort food order the taco tots. They serve on tin plates and bowls, But seem to have an upgraded computer system for ordering. AMAZING!!! I've been here before but was always too drunk after to remember to write a review. If you order wings make them COJO (you can thank me later)! We got pretzel sticks not expecting much but they were surprisingly the best I'd ever had. The burger was also good but nothing crazy special. Our server Jessica was pleasant and as someone also in the service industry not having a complaint about a server is a big deal. Mommy and Daddy said the food was amazing but not the best place for babies. I get it. It's a bar and I won't be able to fully enjoy a bar for 21 more years. When we walked in, I felt like the restaurant had never seen a baby before. It seemed like everyone stopped and starred at our family. It was very strange. My cousin who's a few months older than me was visiting us upstate with his parents. The restaurant only has 1 highchair available and it was already being used. Had his parents not brought his travel high chair, we would have left. I'm still too young to eat, but the Mac and cheese looked sooooo yummy. My Mommy said the salad was delicious and Daddy loved the garlic parmesan wings. The portions were soooo big and we had lots of leftovers. Best wings in the capital district/Hudson/Catskill area. Discovered this gem during wine and wingfest at hunter mountain a couple years ago. Have been to the mothership a couple times. Great wings. This is a great local Gem with good pub fare.. if the weather permits, try the odor patios equipped with standing heaters. The only reason I could not give 5 starts was the lack of staff. 1 waitress , 1 bartender rerunning the entire restaurant and the table were finished with a tacky varnish. Driving to the area one weekend, my family, friends and I wanted to stop for lunch. We all agreed that we didn't want fast food. So I used Yelp and found this place. What a gem! Everyone was raving about their lunch by the time we were finished. Awesome beer selection too. The server was friendly and informative. I had the wings and they were great. I lived in the Western NY area for five years, so I have a good idea of what great wings taste like. My dad raved about his burger. It had cream cheese, bacon and jalapenos. We came up early from Brooklyn to go to the Hi-Way Drive-In. I found this place as a possible lunch spot and were so happy we dropped in. We had the Rasher Chopped Salads with added Shrimp. So generous and delicious! What a refreshing treat after all the fast food along the way. Also got a huge basket of perfect tater tots. Could only make a dent and took the rest to the drive-in. I'm an A-OK+ of this place. The food selections were great! The seating outside was such a treat! Great patio! You can hardly see it from the road and its such a nice feature. Huge and well done. The food was really good....smoked meats and mac and cheese was delicious. The appetizers: great! And the food came fast and fresh. Some things on the menu were not available so we did spend a lot of time looking at all the stuff we couldn't have.... even some things we ordered came with differences/missing things described on the menu... Here is the major challenge: when we first entered we felt like...well....."unwanted" by the wait staff.... we got starred at, more like "summed up". Not sure who the owner is, but these ladies were Tough. Our waitress was testy/prickly - we felt like we were an annoyance every time she came to the table and if we asked her anything about the menu she was snarky. Good thing we all had good dispositions because we just shook our heads and laughed it off - every time. I understand that everyone has an occasional bad day, but geesh, this was rough. Coxsackie, this could be a great place - even a destination BBQ restaurant for visiting people wanting a change of pace - but you are giving "outsiders" a bad impression of the locals... Was expecting a lot more and was pretty disappointed. Went on a Saturday afternoon and it was empty except for a few people at the bar. Food was decent but nothing I would drive an hour back forth. If I lived in the area I would go again because the food wasn't terrible. Low score is because I was there with my wife who was 6-7 months pregnant, which was obvious. Service was fine at first. As we were finishing up the waitress began talking on and off with a couple guys at the bar and one of the cooks/food prep guys from the back. We sat there, 10 ft from the waitress, just sitting there clearly done and waiting for our bill. This is my own fault but I hate having to ask to get the bill, in this case it was pretty obvious and she just didn't care. This went on for just over 20 minutes until I finally asked if we could get our bill. 15 mins later we had paid and left, never to return again. read more

We love this place! We often visit for dinner and drinks as well as do take out. We have only had minor issues with some food orders when we take out but they are quick to fix it. The atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly. Lots of locals visit here and it tends to be a lot of fun. One of the best places in town. If you are in the area I highly suggest you visit here. They also offer brunch on Sundays which we have yet to try but it is on our list of things to do. Onenof our favorite dishes at this restaurant are the Buffalo bleu nachos. They are to die for. Some sort of alcohol in them, I meant to ask. I also got a buffalo "kaskadilla" which was also excellent. But too much food for $20 bucks. Eating the leftovers for breakfast rather than hotel fare. Was in need of gas and hungry after a long drive so pulled up good old yelp and found this place. Have to be careful when looking for it as it doesn't have a huge sign out front and it's in the middle of the streets. They do have their own parking lot but street parking wasn't an issue. This place is a bar where the inside doesn't look anything like the exterior would suggest. Ordered the fish and chips, parmesan fries, fried shrimp caskadilla, cajun dry wings and onion rings which were all excellent. Everything was huge portions too. Excellent beer selections but unfortunately I had to keep driving and couldn't indulge on the offering. Next time I ever get the chance, I will definitely be stopping by! read more

This place is awesome. Total find. A little bit of Williamsburg in Greene County. Beer selection is amazing. Asked for a stout and they have eight on tap. Service is friendly, knowledgeable and cool. The food is terrific. Started with Stout Onion soup and it rocked. There were actually onions! As with all the food here, it has a different taste profile (I don't know how to explain it). First bite is "ok that is different" but by the fifth bite you are in love. Seriously. In love. Listing what we had seems over the top, bit the Bahn Mi sandwich was great and the Coxsackie Hot Chicken was over the top. I wish that this place was closer to home. I know I might take a stop on the way home from NYC soon. Pricing is honest and fair. Portions are bountiful. For the price this is five star review.
