Over priced for two catfish fillets and shrimp. The fish was very tough and chewy on the edge of the fish. Had to pull that part off. The container was filled with fries but they actually had good seasoning on them. Shrimp was tasteless. read more

I go to the catch quite often and consistently the fare is great . I try to order different menu items as I do have my standard favorites . You will not be disappointed coming here and plan to take some home with you as they are generous with the portions . Get a gumbo to go . read more

This restaurant was exceptional. The food was FRESH and delicious. I ordered a lot of items from the menu and have to say I wasn't disappointed with any of the items on the plate. Just ate at The Catch. So glad they are here. We had the Catch and Crawfish fried combo. It came with one large fish filet, crawfish, 2 hush puppies and large amount of fries. It was very tasty. We also ordered a large shrimp etouffee that is very good as well. They were extremely busy and it was a little warm in there. I was grateful that didn't have to wait too long for order. Extremely disappointed. I saw an ad on Facebook for a special on boiled shrimp. The shrimp was not charged at the special price because the cashier knew nothing about this, even though it was posted on their Facebook page. Anyway, the boiled shrimp was frozen shrimp with oil. It was unseasoned, no flavor whatsoever! I asked for the hot level and got mild. I had to use a few seasonings at home to help with the flavor. I also purchased a fried catfish basket and was also disappointed. 1 star for the guy on the phone who took my order; he was friendly. First and last visit to this business. read more

If I could give 0 I would. I went to the garland location a few days ago and the little mixed cooker was extremely rude to me after i told her that my food was cold. This is not an ideal way to be treated in front of your friends and kids. After I told her i would like it remade, she kept being rude and borderline insulting me. I overheard her say that I should have eaten it as soon as I got it instead of running my mouth. Then I waited almost half an hour for my food, but a young man and young lady made me feel better. After seeing the way she treats costumers and her own coworkers I will never come back. I'm glad they are shutting down, PS the food was mid not even all that good for 60 something dollars so save your time and money. read more

Three trips...three times things went wrong. From missing part of the order to raw catfish to over priced on everything. The fried jalapenos highlighted the meal. We had the gator app it was fresh soooo tender and delicious! , the mix combo with the shrimp fish and chicken tenders was good but the portion seemed a little small but everything tasted great. The red beans and rice was good but the rice was a little underdone.. We will be going back to try more. Service was fast and friendly. We went in the afternoon around 3 so maybe they just werent as busy, ive seen alot of complaints about the wait but we only waited about 10 min before we got our app and received the rest of our food as we finished that. read more

The meals my husband ordered for us today were extremely disappointing. We waited for over an hour for delivery via Grub Hub. For the price, the quantity of food was subpar are best. I had a grilled fillet over white rice with about 12 french fries and 2 very dry hush puppies. My husband was supposed to have had fried fillets or strips and he had what looked like 1 fillet cut into 2 strips....for $9! He had the same trifling amount of fries and sad hush puppies, but you all did give him a tub of coleslaw...guess that doesn't cost you too much to make! I do not recommend this location at all!!! They have horrible customer service. They got my order wrong and tried to tell me that there was itching they could do because it was a online order. They didn't even ask to view my receipt or my order online. They were not even trying to help solve my problem. This location is horrible I do not recommend at all! I can't say enough about my dining experience. It was awesome. The cashier was a riot and kept my mom and I very entertained throughout or stay. The peel and eat shrimp by the pound is AMAZING. I ordered the crab legs as well, I was not a huge fan of the crab legs. They messed up and put potatoes on my tray after I was specific to let the cashier know I was allergic. They offered to remake them and I reluctantly allowed them to but when they came back you could tell they only rinsed them off and reserved them without the potatoes. They weren't as good as they probably could've been fresh. I itched and scratched all the rest of the week as a result of eating them. I will never order the crab legs again but those shrimp are definitely a favorite of mine. My mom was not a fan of the place sighting that they don't offer seafood-free dishes. She is allergic to seafood. She ordered the beans and rice and they had pork cooked in them so she couldn't eat them as well. She just enjoyed my company, as well as, the cashier that was very attentive to our table. For the most part they are a 5 star in my opinion just be very clear on your order and don't eat there if you have allergies. read more

I hate that I have to give this place 2 stars because they have great customer service & a very friendly staff but the food is not good at all the catfish in my opinion is not catfish it seems maybe like swai the shrimp tacos are bland needs a good sauce & the fries are all dried out, the hush puppies were good though. read more

My hubby went there today to pick up a late lunch for us. It is not close to our house, so we got a little of everything bc we didn't know when we would be back in the area. Shrimp poboys were huge with plenty of shrimp and lots of seasoned fries. Blackened catfish and sausage was delicious. Catfish was seasoned and cooked perfectly without being crunchy and burnt tasting. Fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, red beans and rice, and fried okra. The okra was the absolute best I've ever had and I order okra everywhere I go. My only problem was some of the rice was crunchy. I'm thinking it was the overcooked grains from the bottom of the pot or the undercooked grains from the top of the pot. Either way, the red beans were good. The grilled dishes also had a nice buttery piece of garlic bread on the side. Oyster poboy was good. Hubby said everyone had on face masks and were super friendly. We'll be back. read more

Highest quality fish and shrimp either baked or fried, your choice. Hot moist and delicious. This place will ruin you for any other sea food joint. Savory food at reasonable prices, why go any where else? Food way better than any that I have had at Capn D's, or Long Johns. Great food with out the stuffiness or prices of Red Lobster. I have been so looking forward to trying this place out. It is close to work and I have not had a good piece of catfish in a long time. I am giving two stars because the fries were very flavorful. That is about all I can say good. I was extremely disappointed when I received my food. We ordered through door dash and the baskets did not specify how many pieces you would get. The option was regular, medium and large. When we got our $9.99 baskets, there was one smallish piece of fish and two tiny (and slightly burnt) hush-puppies and a ton of fries. Also, the fish was not cleaned very well and the skin that was left on the one filet had a funny aftertaste. I just think $10 for one piece of catfish is WAY overpriced. read more

I ate here twice in a row. The catfish and shrimp are pretty good. The crab isn't bad but the oysters were bad, and I love oysters. They have free margaritas and beer but I feel like it's free for a reason. The beer was full of head and margaritas are nothing great. They were out of chicken and horse radish which the oysters could really have used. I rate this place as sub-par to mediocre at best. Make sure you go in with a I'm over 21 shirt with a picture of your I.d on it if you look young but are well over! I can't believe how I was treated knowing I look young I always have my I.d when I order drinks just like I did today the girl asked for it at the front and she checked it everything was good till we walked to the place you order and this man and woman was whispering about me as I walked up. Talking about how I wasn't 21 and how it's to late to ask for my I.d now even though my I.d was already checked!!!! The man was giving me a crazy look while I was trying to order my food while the lady went back to the front and asked what year was I born like she couldn't have just asked for my I.d AGAIN!! I'm 26 in December and was treated like I was 15 years old the funny thing is I went in with my mom so do you think she would drink with me if I'm under 21! if you don't have faith in your employees to check for a i.d when a drink is ordered then you should just stop selling alcohol!!! Finally got in after a couple attempts. They advised come during the week and they are not crazy busy. First thing I noticed is the staff is super friendly and helpful. They do give free beer and frozen drinks. I would give them 5 stars just for that. Menu offerings were just good but not great. Wife and I had studied the pictures on their Facebook page and were under the assumption that they had much more grilled or broiled dishes. Probably a good place if you enjoy fried foods but we try to eat healthier when possible. Ok the one thing I was excited to try was the Gumbo, love me some good gumbo with fish, Shrimp and crab but their recipe is more sausage so it was okay but not what I was hoping. Then wanted oysters, fried or on a Poor Boy and they were out. Ordered grilled catfish with shrimp etouffee with fried okra and it was good. Prices are fair and service was quick. We may try again and suggest you give them a chance. read more

So... I went to The Catch Garland today for some crawfish or whatever (2 lbs of crawfish and a order of fried crawfish!! DASSIT!!!!) and was told that our wait was gonna be about 15 mins per the employee "Kenneth Smith" and that they would bring it out to the car. So after waiting about 35 mins (had already called in there at the 25 min mark), me and my cousin went inside to get a refund bc at that point we had already been waiting too long and had ordered food from somewhere else too.. So we get to the counter or whatever and y'all... This man got pissed bc I wanted a refund! I literally was on chill mode when I approached him... He asked why? I told him why... he then said well can I at least check first bc "I DON'T WANT TO WASTE OUR PRODUCT AND JUST THROW IT OUT LIKE THAT" so I politely told him no bc we had been waiting for 35+ mins already and at that time my time was already wasted bc I had ordered somewhere else as well.. So that's when this grown man turned up on me or whatever and started saying... WELL BITCH FUCK YOU!!! YOU GOT ME FUCKED UP!!! I'LL FUCK YOU UP!!! I mean coming at me full force like I did him something! I couldn't really even say nun bc I wasn't toting nothing and no telling what was behind there (yea that's how mad dude was). Then he had the nerves to offer the food to my cousin and said that was all that I wanted.. free food ANYBODY that know me know I'm gone eat and know that money good and I'll never do such thing for a freebie. My first experience was not a good one at all!!! If you want fish, this is not the place, especially for the price. What you get is a catfish strip and small one at that. I spent almost $60 for a take out order, and what I got enraged me! I didn't even get the hush puppies that came with the meal. I asked for tarter sauce and didn't get that. We ate here and and got 3 and 1 USA farm catfish and shrimp. We got one very thin piece of catfish, and 3 shrimp. I left hungry and spent $28. We felt totally ripped off especially since we've gotten better food at Captain D's and a whole lot more of it. My suggestion would be to charge for your drinks and focus more on quality and quantity of food. Totally disappointed! Susan H read more
