Eh, I have mixed feelings about The Caz. What I liked upon entering is that they were thorough about checking IDs and tickets. Also, while standing at the bar, I heard the lady checking tickets say something to the bartender about being aware of underage people here. What I didn't like were the drink prices and cleverly hidden fees. I ordered 2 drinks at the bar so I could sit and enjoy the show. It was $29 and they were 8 oz glasses. I barely drink and did not feel a drop of alcohol. I couldn't believe I paid that PLUS tip for basically some juice. I realized what they did when I got home: they gave me 2 receipts ... the top being merchant copy. Merchant copy had my price for the drinks and area to sign and tip. I shoved the other copy in my pocket and when I got home, I realized they charged a 2% management fee AND another 18% fee. So with my tip, I paid an additional 40% total. Yikes. Not worth it. It's frustrating to think that an hour of music from a local band and 2 drinks has become difficult to afford, when it used to be a regular thing for me when I was young and didn't have much. Anyway, more of what I liked: Venue was clean and seats clearly labeled. They had a QR code right at your seat to order food and drink so you didn't have to get up once in your seat. I didn't order any food, but others did around me, and it looked good. Back to what I didn't like: I paid for a premium seat and it was the worst seat in the house. It was at the corner of the stage (the only stage side seat left) and I could not see almost the entire band! There were 4 men up front I did not see at all until the next day when they posted pictures. I thought "ok so that's what they look like". And ironically in those photos. You couldn't see the only 2 people I could see from my seat: I could only see 2/3 of the drummer with the curtain next to me. The only real view of anyone I had was the bass player. If I just stared at him, that would feel creepy lol so I looked at the stage floor often. Do not sit where I sat in the corner of the stage. I could somewhat see the video screen, but there was a slight lag and threw off what was playing versus what you were seeing. I guess if I came here again, I would have to have a seat available center stage, and would skip the drinks and opt for food due to the high cost. Maybe the food would feel like more bang for the buck. Watch the 20% total fees they'll getchya! I feel the venue is well-managed otherwise.

Beautiful venue, good food and good service. We saw a killer Sublime tribute band, Kung Fu Grip. Band was on point. Highly recommend venue for a show.

This place is so cool!!! I love the idea of dinner and a show! They have different concerts and even comedians while you eat. The lobster roll and burger were very good! I can't wait to go back

Definitely nice to finally see a music venue in South Buffalo . Hard to believe that it used to be a Bank of America . I went there this past Friday with a friend to see Mr. Brightside- A Killers tribute band . The stage setup is cool with seats upstairs and a standing room area in front of the stage as well with seats along the side . Tickets were $15 for this show , which is not bad , but other shows are much more expensive, although they do include dinner . My biggest problem with this venue is the drink prices . $12 for a single shot Jack and ginger ale - after fees (yes they add 20% gratuity to every drink and tax ) it came to over $30 for two drinks - ouch . Drinks should not be more than the show itself . Overall , I had an enjoyable night and would come to The Caz again . I'll just be sure to just drink water and leave the alcohol indulgence for another show elsewhere .

This new spot is fantastic. Sited in a former bank. Great look. Great sound. Super service. (Weird visuals on screens. But you can ignore that.)

I love that this venue is so spacious, well lit, there's lot of natural lighting, high ceilings, it's well ventilated and it's carpeted. For this particular event "The Whiskey Riot" I also overheard people saying there were more venues last year and they'd like to see more come next year. There's a ton of room to put vendors around the facility and allow for everyone to walk around easily. For this event, there were two food trucks outside and inside, they had a variety of free chips and granola bars for people to choose from, as well as water. There was a large seating area off to the side just to hang out and enjoy your snack or meal from the truck. Coat check is available, they accept tips only. I had a really great time here with my sons, I tried 11 different vendors and even though there were long lines, everyone was in a great mood, enjoying themselves. We brought a Whiskey Riot tee shirt and yes, we'll be back next year!

Iron Works is an ideal venue in a lot fo way- not too big, not too small, and the perfect place for an intimate experience with a band you enjoy. Most recently we saw Caligula Blushed for their first visit to Buffalo. My other half has been a fan of The Smiths since forever, but we have stopped seeing Morrissey in concert. This was the next best thing to seeing Johnny Marr in concert. Great show, good crowd, not too crowded, and people were actually there to see the show unlike when we saw Nick Lowe at Iron Works and some people would not stop talking!! Post-pandemic, but also anytime, I have to say how incredibly wonderful it is to get fresh air during a show. The garage style door by the stage was open letting in some natural night and lots of fresh air on a cool night, which is really perfect for a show. I'm over crowded, stuffy, hot, and dark. The opening leads to an adorable patio with lots of tables, chairs, and string lights. There's a platform with seating and a little balcony with seating. There are lots places to set your drink whole dancing as the platform and pillars all have ledges. There are two selve-serve water coolers, which is also great to see. I tried a summer cocktail - a Loganberry Dirty Shirley, which was super sweet but that's what it's designed to be. A Coke was $3 and the cocktail specials were $10. Mocktails are $8 and there are other n/a offerings as well, along side beer, liquor, and what have you. They have a garden burger and fries on the menu, in addition to other meat and cheese foods. Tickets to this show were $12, which is so reasonable for a night out. This is more fun than going to the movies and should definitely be a go to if you want to get out of the house. Fresh air, water, seating...all this sets Iron Works apart. If you haven't been, go, and of it's been awhile, go back. My other half was reluctant to go out but was so glad he did.

The wait staff was great, replenishing the various platters and serving trays of tasty mini-potato pancakes and boneless chicken wing bites throughout the evening. They also picked up plates, cans and bottles, taking them back to the kitchen for disposal vs. there being many unsightly trash cans throughout the room. This also added to the event, making the room more attractive.
