    Vegan hash
    Dax S.

Love! I came here because I'm vegan and GF and they had a whole separate menu. I ordered the vegan hash (the server verified with the kitchen that the sausage was gf). I did want to share because it wasn't exactly what I expected, but it was 100% delicious. It was more a big bowl of red pepper sausage with some cubed potato (maybe I don't know what hash Is but I expected more of a shredded potato hash scramble and the red pepper was a surprise). Anyway, it was good and I decided to take a pic half way through and share. Also had a hazelnut latte and it was quality

Such sweet staff serving up delicious food in a really cute hidden gem! I went in a group with my in laws, wife and son. They were very friendly and pushed a table together to fit us all comfortably. We all ordered different things after much debating because they have so many choices. My wife has a black pepper allergy and they went above and beyond to make her a savory meal without it! Most places can't or won't adjust for that so she's stuck with pancakes. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their meal, clean plates all around. You will NOT be disappointed and we will certainly be back soon!

I was headed up there to pick something up. We decided to eat local and what better place then at The Local? Upon walking up, with the folks outside with their pups, to being greeted and seated, the experience was awesome! Our server Sarah, was pleasant and matched our obvious out of town energy. The inside was bright, but muted, if that makes any sense? The walls were pastel with cute art hung around, whereas the seats were brightly colored and the tables were white. My company thoroughly enjoyed the green chili biscuits and gravy with a side egg. I enjoyed my omelet although, more enjoyed the potatoes as I could tell they were seasoned before smashed. The coffee kept me up all night and if I am back around, I'm likely to visit again. What a great place!

As usual, The Local did not disappoint. Amazing Eggs Benedict with cottage cheese & the bombon was perfect. Molly had a lovely vegan breakfast. Very friendly service. Love, love, love this place.

Biscuits & Green Chile Sausage Gravy

I got to my regular breakfast joint a little late and they were closed, so this place looked good. Bright and cheery with colorful chairs got me in a pretty good mood since I was a little bit hangry. The green chili was recommended by the server, so I went for it. Biscuits and green chili sausage gravy with a fried egg on top! Really good. I'm happy that I had the opportunity to try a new place.

Hands down, one of the worst dining disasters I've endured. Shoutout to the waitress for trying, but the chefs thought raw steak and eggs were the pinnacle of culinary innovation--not once, but twice. If I were a cannibal, maybe I'd find it hilarious, but alas, it was just a tasteless and wallet-draining joke.

We had a really nice breakfast. We all liked the bright colors. Our waitress was really nice. We all got pancakes. I got spelt blueberries pancakes and potatoes, my wife got skinny pancakes and loaded potatoes, one of my kids got skinny pancakes and one got fat pancakes and they shared a side order of bacon. We all enjoyed everything. They gave the kids a cookie on the way out.

The biscuits & green chile gravy were FANTASTIC. The biscuits are the perfect texture. The hash potatoes are a great side- and ask for some of the green hot sauce for those!

It's empty for a reason. Run!

The stars are actually only for the service because the servers were great. Other than that, if you can avoid this place, RUN as the reviews does not match the food. I should've read the latest reviews before coming here. Apparently the owners have changed and they must have changed the cook as well because the food was so dry. If you have no choice, you can come here just to eat, but don't expect to be satisfied with the taste. Food was cold and coffee was warm. After eating and paying the bill, you'd wish you just went home and cook your own food. The fruit looked and tasted old. I wasn't happy with the dry tortilla, sour verde sauce, and cold coffee. My husband asked for over easy eggs, but it wasn't- well the other egg was. I can't explain what they could improve on. Maybe, just get a new cook and lower the prices. If you could avoid this place, you should just go to McDonald's and save your money.

They were all excellent, but I'd highly recommend the carne adovada. My wife really enjoyed her skillet. We both agreed that next time, we would each probably pick different items, but only because there were so many things on the menu that sounded really good! We went closer to lunchtime on a weekday and there was no wait, but I could see there definitely being a wait at breakfast time on the weekend, as the interior is small and has only about six tables. The homemade mixed berry jam is delicious. But that's sort of where the good stuff ends. The coffee has no taste, the sausage is a weird squished down link, and the pancakes lacked fluff. Our waitress was nice but kept forgetting things- never got water, got syrup instead of jam, didn't know the answers the questions. She seemed constantly rushed. Inside is cute, some cute little coffee art on the walls. All in all, it's not somewhere I would frequent again.

It's wonderful to know that when you go to a restaurant, the staff will be aware and considerate of your special need. Love the menu! So diverse, so interesting in its offerings compared to the usual restaurants in Prescott Valley. Definitely a step above the rest! The new location in Prescott Valley is fantastic! Welcoming, tastefully decorated and wonderful ambience. The only thing I would say that could be improved upon, is that the large plates sometimes leave something to be desired with the presentation. I got the three tacos served on a metal stand and the rest of the plate was just EMPTY looking. Looked like it was missing something. A little garnish or even a little bit of pico de gallo, some cabbage and chopped tomato... anything would have made the meal more attractive in its presentation. Same thing with my husband's sandwich. A large white plate with lots of empty space. Small sandwich, & small portion of french fries. Food was very good, but it's kind of a mixed message when you have a plate so large that it makes the food appear as if you're getting small portions. Just something to consider for the owner perhaps. The manager was delightful and came out to ask about my gluten-free needs and educated me about the conditions in the kitchen and so forth. Great job!
