On a whirlwind weekend throughout Arizona, we wanted some lunch. Everything in Phoenix had a 90-120min so we decided to eat along the way to the Grand Canyon. On a whim, we decided to give this place a shot. It turned out to be a nice change of pace. The service was super friendly even though it was busy and the kitchen seemed overwhelmed. We sat outside so we could throw some horse shoes while we waited. The server brought us beers regularly and explained our order status. What more do you need? The food was decent for bar food in the middle of nowhere. The beer was cold and cheap. And the outdoor games were a fun way to pass some time. Overall, this was a great establishment for what we wanted. Thank you!

Such a perfect little diner/Rv park/motel combo!! Some seriously yummy food!! You won't be disappointed!! Fall off the bone wings!! I have yet to eat something I don't like! They now offer Mexican food as well! Hard to resist

What a delight of a diner! We passed this sweet little place on our drive up to the Grand Canyon! I am so happy that we stopped here because the food was delicious and the service was awesome! The omelettes and french toast were delicious! My favorite was the coffee and the fact that I could buy a t-shirt souvenir! Great prices and definitely a cute little stop for delicious breakfast.

More like 3.5/5 stars. We were on our way down from sedona to Phoenix. By noon time we wanted to grab something to eat and there was subway, McDonald's or this 50's diner... Since subways and McDonald's are a dime a dozen, we opted for this place instead. This place is kinda hard to find, it's located in the back of a RV camp site. We parked in the back and entered in from the back patio side. It was one waitresses working, and after we placed our orders we waited for a little bit to get everything. The waitress was nice and kept coming by to check in on us. I ordered a breakfast item that came with eggs, hash browns, sausage and biscuits. It was pretty filling and the biscuits were full of flavor. Other people got sandwiches and a meatloaf sandwich, which they said were good. However the meatloaf sandwich was kinda heavy and kinda greasy. There is also a bar in the back, which I assume is for the people camping there and for the hotel next door.

Steak and eggs

On our way to Sedona, we were caught in some traffic so because no one likes a hangry Casey, we stopped in at the 50s Diner Backseat Bar. This is a seat yourself kinda place. In addition to the breakfast and lunch items, they also had malt shakes, floats and pie a la mode. We shared a steak and eggs which came with hashbrowns and raisin bread ($0.50 extra). The steak.... not a good steak but you can't be too critical when you order a steak at a diner. The Good: 1) friendly service 2) food came out very quickly 3) The bathroom (female) was really clean which was really unexpected. The Bad: 1) steak With so many options around, I probably wouldn't go back.

This place is a gem! We stopped for a rest with kids. Amazing diner, great bar, and an absolute hidden surprise. Waitress was great, took time to make awesome shake and ice cream for kids. Apple pie for me is superb. Bar next door looks great too. Wish more places were like this.

This business is closed. Honestly even if they were open I wouldn't go there. Went about 3 or 4 times. Slow service and mediocre food

Coming back to The Clinkscale for a second time--after such an unforgettable honeymoon experience…read moreback in November--just confirmed what we already knew: this place is truly something special. Traveling back to Arizona, we knew we had to return, and once again, it exceeded every expectation. The filet mignon is simply out of this world--served sizzling in a cast iron skillet with clarified butter, it's incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. It's the kind of dish you think about long after the meal is over. What really sets this place apart, though, is the people. The staff consistently go above and beyond, creating an experience that feels both elevated and welcoming. And Michael, the manager, is exceptional--so accommodating, attentive, and genuinely invested in making every guest feel taken care of. It's rare to find a restaurant that delivers this level of quality and consistency twice, let alone make you want to keep coming back. Without a doubt, one of the greatest dining experiences in the USA. We'll absolutely be back again.

We celebrated an anniversary and everyone went out of their way to wish us well. Their hotel rooms are beautiful and comfortable. For special occasions, book the Romance package-- so worth it. Mike the GM is very personable and loves the place. Our server Savannah was fun and top notch, made great suggestions

Sorry for the lack of photos on this one…read more We stopped here for lunch and a bathroom break driving through from phoenix to flagstaff. Samantha was so fun to talk to, very polite and welcoming! When we walked in, the space is open with plenty of tables inside and an outside patio. They have local artwork and pieces for sale on shelves and on the wall, which I have to add was super cute!! We ordered the Greek omelette with avocado, diced potato's, with a cup of fruit to split. Omelette was very largely portioned and the taste was delightful. Everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. They have a large selection of hot sauces you can top your meal with. They have an icecream shop attached, we didn't get anything but I'm sure it would have been the perfect treat for the hot summer day. They give a veteran discount too!! We will return every time we are passing through. We recommend to try it at least once, it's worth the stop.

Been here a couple times, we live locally, and it's always been great food and sweet service…read more Ambiance is calm and cozy. But! What sparked this review, was going this past week for brunch... Casey was our server and I wanted to try something new. She suggested Mediterranean Eggs Benedict. Said it was her favorite on the menu. Sure! I tried it. Oh my!!! It was absolutely delicious!!! My mouth was watering from the first bite, every bit of it was cooked just right. To me anyways considering I never had any eggs Benedict before. Wow!! I was so impressed I had to tip the cook too! Not sure I talked as I devoured it. LoL I think I've found my new favorite breakfast plate. You've set the standard for this dish for me. Thanks to you all! Always enjoy supporting local businesses in BCC.
