Never asked for verification like my credit card or anything only assumed I was under age when I used my ID card and not my drivers license. Not sure this is a place you want to patronize. Apparently the staff is unable to recognize a real ID as opposed to a fake one. I understand their need to make sure they aren't serving under age drinkers but if you are unable to recognize a real versus fake ID you probably shouldn't ruin a patrons weekend, especially a special occasion like an anniversary. It may also be a good business policy to not get hammered behind the bar so you can recognize real or fake ID's. All in all for a good time it may be a good idea to seek fun elsewhere. **As you can see by the response of an establishment rep they are choosing to not take responsibility for misidentifying a legitimate ID and also not addressing the behavior of apparently a drunk owner. Other patrons verified that it was a legitimate ID that were not associated with the person this happened. I also happen to know the patron whose ID was in question and he encouraged the police be called. FYI it wasn't me. With such poor service why would anyone stay even if the ID was verified. Being wrong isn't a problem but when you treat your customers with arrogance after they are pleading with you that it's a valid ID is why I'm posting this review. Also nice try on the snatching the ID and running out. The customer took his ID back and advised them he wasn't staying because of how he was treated. Like I said do your due diligence on verifying ID's but don't take a position right off the bat that the customer is lying. That's where your issue is. read more

Wow....My new favorite place in Ketchum !!! From the atmosphere, to the service, food, drinks, and outstanding vibe, this place is awesome. Me and the boys fresh off a 1200 mile motorcycle ride ended out trip (last night of trip) in Sun Valley. We picked this place from the many great Yelp reviews, and it did not disappoint. The place is a pub style eatery. Very dark, and homey feel, but with a definite upscale vibe. I started out with a Manhattan, and ordered appetizers for the crew. Lamb sliders (OMG), Calamari, and wings. All excellent. We ordered dinner, and I had the flat iron steak. Cooked, and seasoned perfectly. I will make an excuse to return ASAP. read more

We had the bangers and mash and the steak salad. Bangers and mash stood up to some of the better Irish pubs I've been to. Got extra gravy because it made the bangers taste that much better. The flat iron steak salad looked like it was posing for a picture. The steak was juicy and the matched perfectly with the dressing. The onion rings on the side made for the perfect pairing and might have been the highlight of the meal. Next time I'll order an entire side of them. The clams were in a rich broth that was very flavorful. The calamari was beyond amazing. It came with sautéed onions, peppers, and tomatoes that was very delicious. Been here twice, once in December and once last week and it is such a fun spot! Even on a dead night in the Ketchum bar scene this place is getting going! Inside is super cool with bar games and an almost divey feel. The outside makes you feel like you're sitting on a stoop in NYC or Boston, complete with brick. Great and strong cocktails. But the waitress we had the last two times we were there was the absolute best!! I don't want to put names in a review because that's weird, but let's just say that after an upsetting experience at a different restaurant in town we went back to The Cellar and this gal not only made sure the kitchen stayed open a few extra minutes so we could order food, but she also brought us Jell-O shots left over from Super Bowl Sunday and I'm pretty sure she asked the bartender to make the drinks a little stronger for us. Its pub food and I thought it was damn good. Our waiter was a lively chap with a unique voice...I liked his level of service. Our food was good...but it was bar food and the wifes stew was damn good. Nice job. We played some shuffleboard and that was a blast. Bar games. I have one complaint...and its more me than them. I dont like that vinegar smell of this place. I know it comes from fish and chips and its in the wood, not the air. but still...its the first thing that hits you and i'm sure it freaks some back out the door. Oh well. We just got off the Middle Fork of the Salmon River and were looking for a cozy, relaxed place for dinner. We found a corner table in the bar and plopped down. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had roasted red pepper hummus and pita to start. The pasta special was penne with a cream pesto sauce with shrimp. Delicious! We enjoyed our whole experience at the cellar Pub. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, the jovial place! It's very cozy it makes you feel like you're welcome. We were told to choose any seat and we picked a little booth out of the way. Our server was very very quick to bring us water and offer us drinks. I chose to order bangers and mash. He chose the fish and chips. Both meals were superb! I got two different kinds of sausages and a pile of yummy garlic mashed potatoes with gravy. I ordered some coleslaw on the side and it was also tasty. His fish was beer battered and so very light and flaky! The fries were yummy and hot. They made what seems like a homemade tartar sauce; it was just the perfect amount of tangy.
