Enjoyed a 75 min gentle flow class this morning with my husband while on a trip. Couldn't pay online and emailed the studio so they made reservations and said we could pay in the morning which was appreciative. They provided mats, pillows, blankets and blocks for a drop in class which was wonderful. The class started with some sound bowl and then the teacher offered didn't positions for each exercise based on your physical needs. read more

I booked a class through mind-body at the center studio while I was visiting SLO. It's always interesting to check out other yoga instructors and studios and the center did not disappoint. I took a heated flow class, which was quite challenging, but I loved the space and the way I felt after. The instructor even had ice cold towels for everyone to put over their eyes at the end. Try to get there early for popular classes as it does get pretty packed. The studio is on three separate floors and there are multiple classes going on at the same time. They also have a very cute yoga merch shopping area. read more

The center SLO is wonderful. Today was my third time there and I love it. I live downtown so the walkable component is a bonus. The views from the classroom are absolutely stunning with Cerros San Luis in plain sight. I love the option of taking 45 minute classes, they're perfect. I'm a very happy yogi! read more

I do not have enough positive things to say about SLO Yoga Center! The environment is very warm and welcoming for all yoga levels. They have been doing a superb job keeping yoga around during the pandemic with online courses. I should also note that their boutique in the front of the studio is stocked with the best yoga/ wellness products. The yoga wear is cute, soft, and affordable! They also carry numerous local wellness products like soaps, scrubs, essential oils, etc that are all from SLO County artisans. I cannot say enough about how tremendous this place is. I definitely recommend it for all the yogis out there! read more

I tried my first heated class. My friends recommended I try a class with Morgan. I was a bit apprehensive but I brought my towel and water bottle. It was enjoyable and I slept great that night. Look over the schedule and find MORGAN. She is upbeat and knowledgeable. read more

Favorite yoga studio in SLO. Lots of time slots through out the day, everyday of the week. Beautiful setting to practice in. Every corner of the studio and bathrooms are cleaned between each class and it shows. Staff really does care. I do really miss the aerial classes. For heated classes, for your safety be sure to hydrate long BEFORE the class. Great place for beginners to yoga with gentle and restorative yoga. Sound bath events are so special. I would've loved to have given this studio a better rating, but there are serious issues with parking, cleanliness and the misrepresentation of their cancelation policy. I started going in January of 2024 and decided to get the unlimited package. But after a few weeks of trying out the studio, I realized I made a mistake. I wanted to quit, but it's a 3 month commitment. And if you do not send in a formal *cancelation form* you will continue to get charged even after your initial 3 month commitment. The props, especially for hot yoga, were filthy and smelled. You have to park over two blocks away if you do not want to get charged and if you're late, then they will charge you. They pack the hot yoga classes with way too many people and right up until you're about to start, the instructor is asking people to move to make room. Overall, I would never recommend this place. But if you're looking for a clean and safe environment to practice hot yoga, go to Spark in SLO. read more

The aerial yoga class offered by Lily is INCREDIBLE! The most fun I have had in years! She is so amazing and I felt like I was 7-years-old on the playground again! You definitely need to check it out if you want to try something new, expand your practice, or just have fun! Martina's barre classes are awesome. Very challenging and good for sculpting and burning! Minus 1 star for all of the problems with trying to use the various apps to book classes, enroll in classes, and having to constantly keep track of the number of passes. They always deduct more passes/classes than you have actually used! It is very frustrating. You definitely have to keep track yourself if you don't have the unlimited package. read more

I love attending classes at SLO Yoga Center. Both locations are warm and welcoming. The front desk people always are friendly upon check in. I mostly take the gentle/restorative classes and the teachers are exactly what you need them to be; calming, encouraging and helpful. I love attending classes at both locations but the downtown studio is especially beautiful. I highly recommend SLO Yoga Center. read more

This studio has been such a source of joy for me. I come almost every day and always walk out feeling amazing! The instructors are so talented and offer creative and challenging flows. Not to mention, it's such a beautiful space, with local art throughout, and large windows offering nature views :) I love the infrared heat in the uppermost studio, but they offer non-heated classes as well. I cannot say enough great things about Morgan, Brooke, Denise, Niccola, Dani, Marty, and Stack (Andrew). Highly recommend! read more

I love this studio! I've been practicing yoga on a semi-regular basis for a few years but am new to SLO. The 30 days for $39 is a fantastic deal and I was able to try out a bunch of classes, including aerial yoga, which I'd always thought of as being only for very advanced yogis or former gymnasts (I am neither). It was SO MUCH FUN! Lily, the teacher, was very sweet and helpful and I am so glad that I tried it. They have two locations - one right downtown and the other in Marigold shopping center (where Vons is). The studios at both are gorgeous and very clean; the Marigold one has a huge, gleaming locker room with showers (they offer a few hot yoga classes there). Also, I used to practice in San Francisco at a studio where everyone but me (it seemed) was a size 2 and clad head-to-toe in Lululemon. I never completely felt like I fit in, but stayed because the teachers were great and the studio was half a block from my apartment. At SLO Yoga, I felt right at home almost immediately. The students are a diverse bunch - all ages, genders, body types, and capabilities - and the teachers are very friendly and supportive. I've taken classes with 11 different teachers and really like almost all of them. My favorites are Smita for Gentle Yoga (a restorative class), Brooke for stretch & flow, Lily for ariel, and Jacqui for heated power yoga (tough but so worth it!). Overall, I would highly recommend this studio for anyone from the beginner to the seasoned yogi. read more

Really great experience while in SLO. Our instructor was kind, offered adjustments, and time to play/work on moves that personally interested us. Facility is clean with multiple rooms. We have been going to SLO Yoga Center's Higuera Street studio periodically for several years. The vibe, the venue and the instructors all resonate well. Anahata, Sarah and the others are all great! We just went to the opening of SLO Yoga's new studio in the Marigold Center. The facility is quite nice and easy to get to. We had a Flow and Stretch class with Lily Q. who we have enjoyed for several years. The class was great and Lily was her usual delightful yogi. Highly recommended! read more

I came across SLO Yoga Center in a completely serendipitous way - on the Mind Body app about 5 minutes before a class started. I signed up and my husband dropped me at the door. It was easy to find the studio, and the front desk person let me know there were 2 options for class - so I ended up taking the other class on the schedule and was super impressed. The teacher was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly well trained, based on the vinyasa sequence that she guided us through. She clearly understood anatomy, yoga philosophy, and how to connect and inspire humans towards their evolution, and I was able to relax and enjoy the ride - even during moments when challenging poses were offered. I took another class today and had another great experience! I've been studying and teaching yoga for over 12 years, and it is always such a gift to enter into an anonymous space and become a student. My husband and I traveled to San Luis Obispo after having to evacuate our Malibu Airbnb due to the Woolsey Fire - which left us on the wrong side of the fire to attend the yoga retreat we had planned to be at in Malibu. Finding SLO Yoga Center was such a great gift! Finding a place to practice and breathe and be a wanderluster was amazing! I highly recommend this studio! read more

I have to mention first how FRIENDLY everyone at this studio is. As ridiculous as it sounds, I had my fears about it being uppity based on its downtown location. I was so caught off guard and overwhelmed with gratitude when I realized just how kind, outgoing and genuine the instructors and other members are at SYC. I started with a trial month and we are now on a family membership with our toddler who loves going to "yoga gym school." Both Alissa & Marc kick some serious tail in Yoga Sculpt, and I have met several other great instructors, (Power Flow and Vinyasa All Levels are my other go-to's,) that encourage you to push yourself but also listen to your body. This is the first yoga center that I've been to in SLO that feels like a community. Sarah and Leslie are two of my favorite teachers but really everyone I've encountered there from Matt at reception to yogis I walk up the block with after a class are always warm, familiar, and welcoming. I want to go to yoga to go to yoga, not to see who has the most expensive spandex on or for Instagram likes. SLO Yoga Center feels authentic and that is the kind of place that I can put roots down and grow. read more

The reception was friendly and I love the space with the natural light coming in through the windows. I just finished taking Jennifer's 7:30 AM "Gentle Flow" class and it was great! Got a membership here for Christmas, and I'm so glad I did. I enjoy barre and sculpt classes a lot, but tend to stray away from yoga classes simply out of fear of being the only beginner. Today I took a class with Lily, and I was so so happy. Woke up sore from my barre class the day before, and left feeling so much better. The class was definitely challenging, but she offered many modifications. She also constantly reminded us that if necessary we could return to a more relaxed pose. There was plenty of advanced people in the class, but at no point did I feel upset or worried about my level of experience. The vibe and energy of the studio was so welcoming and accepting. Though I was a falling and shaky mess, I felt comfortable and happy. Lily also offered advanced versions of each pose, for those that are a little more experience. Over all I love this studio, though I've only visited twice. I'm so excited to continue my experience here and hopefully will improve the more I go. read more
