I got the fried catfish and spaghetti. It was the perfect proportion. The fish was seasoned well and crispy, and the spaghetti was seasoned well too. The crispness of the fish and spaghetti paired well together, and it was a generous portion. The service was great, along with the ambiance. I'd recommend making a reservation and 10/10 recommend trying.

My boyfriend took me here for the first time for dinner. Definitely a date night type of spot--very dimly lit making it very intimate. More occasion/cocktail & suits/button-ups than casual wear type of vibe. We sat upstairs at the bar. Charbroiled oysters had good flavor, but the oysters themselves were somewhat small. The Charred Elote On The Cob came out hot and well seasoned. Crispy duck was fall-off-the-bone tender and the harissa sauce paired with it perfectly! Whipped potatoes were easily one of the best parts of the meal--super buttery and melt-in-your-mouth. If substitutions are an option, I'd skip the potato pave next time and opt. for that instead. Service was on par and the teddy bear theme throughout the restaurant was so cute. They give you gummy bears at the end of the meal and have giant teddy bears around the restaurant for photo ops. Fun place to cross off the restaurant list for date night.

I had an incredible dining experience at The Charlotte yesterday while celebrating Mother's Day! From the starters to the main course, every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. We kicked things off with the crab claws and the crab fried rice. The claws were served with lemon garlic and Cajun mixed butters that were absolutely phenomenal--the crab was fresh, and those seasoned butters added a rich, savory depth that made the starters a real highlight. For the main course, we decided on the catfish and spaghetti. We requested a custom version by pairing the catfish with the spicy spaghetti from the vegan and gluten-free section of the menu. It was a fantastic combination; the heat from the spaghetti complemented the crispy catfish perfectly. To top it all off, I enjoyed a refreshing peach Bellini, which was the perfect treat for the holiday. If you're looking for a spot in Dallas that offers high-quality seafood along with thoughtful vegan and gluten-free options, The Charlotte is a must-visit. It was the perfect place to celebrate!

Beautiful space! The famous "bear" was adorable and I appreciated the special pops of detail all across the patio and inside. The marketing and decor team did a fantastic job here. The Charlotte is a Black-Owned bistro located off Henderson. They offer valet parking at the back of the restaurant but we were lucky to find a couple of street parking spots. For starters we tried the spinach and artichoke dip. This was just okay, the dip itself lacked a little bit of flavor, but it was a cozy app to try. I couldn't decide between the vodka pasta and the burger and our server suggested the latter which I opted for. The burger was good! It comes with a delicious sauce and I ordered a side of truffle fries and broccolini. Overall the vibes were amazing. I didn't indulge in any cocktails so I'm curious to see how those are and will return to check out their patio which was closed for a photoshoot the day we visited. Our server seemed a bit disengaged and we had to flag her down a couple of times because we were forgotten. We did have to move from the patio to indoors because we had some bees that were trying to join us for lunch lol. I'll definitely be back!

I've already reviewed The Charlotte, and my five stars still stand. This time, I tried the catfish and spaghetti. The spaghetti has a slight spice to it that really takes the flavor up a notch. The combination of the two works surprisingly well. My only recommendation would be to fry the catfish a little harder. It was a bit soft, and since you are pairing it with spaghetti, it could really benefit from that extra crunch for better texture contrast. That said, the fish itself was well seasoned and still very good. The staff here continues to be amazing, and the restaurant is just as beautiful as ever. I also love the complimentary gummy bears at the end. It is such a cute and thoughtful touch. Overall, still a great experience and I would absolutely return.

Jade was our server and she was the best! Food was absolutely amazing actually. Got the spicy vodka pasta and it was spicyyy. Tried the lamb and the cajun pasta and those were bomb. The martinis will get you. The lavender & pomegranate were strong but also sweet. The pornstar martini was honestly the best drink out of the three. Tasted like juice. Service was not what I would expect at this price point. We ordered a bottle of wine, and it was simply set on the table with an ice bucket--they didn't even place it in the bucket, pour it, or provide any level of wine service. We also specifically asked for the meal to be coursed, but after the appetizers arrived, all remaining dishes came out at once. To make matters worse, the table next to us was loudly FaceTiming the entire time, and no one from the restaurant addressed it. For a $300+ dinner for two, the overall experience fell far short of expectations. The arancini and calamari were very good, but the burgers were dry, and the Caesar salad and truffle fries were just okay. Overall, the food and service didn't justify the cost. At this price point, there are many better dining options in Dallas.

Friday night sounded great for my favorite hour. I have been wanting to try happy hour here for a while. I'm so glad I made a reservation. It was packed and they were turning walk-in's away. The last time I came was for brunch with friends. It's been over a year since our last visit. So we decided to meet up for a Galentines HAPPY HOUR! I'm was hoping things had improved since they are not new anymore. The restaurant is still charming and cute. I love the ambiance. The giant teddy bears throughout the restaurant. The red decor for Valentine's weekend. It was sexy and cozy with the red pops of color. Service was good! My waiter was pleasant and polite. The happy hour prices were great. I was able to try some new items cheaper! The happy hour menu has more cocktail, wine and beer choices than food. My friend and I both ordered the happy hour smash cheeseburger. The smash burger was good. It's huge and is loaded with pickles, caramelized onions, cheese and hamburger meat. I opted NOT to get the jerk aioli on it. Thanks to another Yelp review who said the jerk aioli was too much. I asked for that sauce on the side. I'm so glad I did because it reminded me of jerk chicken. I would not have liked it on my burger. It's very spicy and overpowering. I asked for ketchup and mustard and that complimented the burger well. She ordered some truffle fries and I helped her eat them. They give you a lot of fries. They were tasty and definitely enough to share. The Caesar Salad was huge. You can share this too. It's also on the happy hour menu. It was presented nicely. For cocktails we chose the Porn Star Martini which was delicious. The passion fruit flavor was on point. The drink was classy and sassy. The other drink we chose was the Peach Bellini. It was frozen and the presentation was cute, but tasted just okay. Overall a good time and the free Valet Parking is a plus. As parking is crazy in the area. I left feeling satisfied. I definitely like happy hour better!

The restaurant has an upscale feel and unique design. I had the short rib and it was flavorful. The only negative was food temperature as my dish was luke warm. The old fashion went down easily.

So I've officially visited The Charlotte after attending Orchestra Noir at the Majestic downtown on Saturday. A girlfriend that attended the concert with me recommended we swing by forsoemthing light to eat. Parking was great and hassle free "Valet!" IYKYK., As you get older you stop circling the block and appreciate the experience. Fidelity the restaurant is very cute and the time is set at grown and sexy. We were greeted by James and hen I say this youngannwas everywhere ..." host, server, wishing us a great night and Happy Easter and even giving a pen on the way out! ( That man needs a raise; job security at its finest honey!) Okay back to the story. So we told him we didn't have a reservation but we would sit at the bar if open seating was available. He notified us of 2 bars first floor and second floor and recc the second floor. When we were seated we were greeted by Bri our server and when I tell you Sis skin and makeup were flawless (she did that) , but my friend and I both went for the Caesar Salads ( I added grilled shrimp and salmon), I had an amazing cocktail and my friend tried the Chicken Nuggets and Caviar. Then after eating and catching up we were introduced to Michael bartender, patron of all things awesome, and a part-time comedian. He was great! In the house of closing they all still remained happy, shared a couple of laughs and did amazing. I will be back for happy hour and brunch. Great Happy Hour -- perfect for drinks with the girls!! The Charlotte is such a cute restaurant! I loved the teddy bear theme. There's also free valet! Their happy hour is pretty good! I got their Pornstar Martini for $9 (traditionally $18) which is a fantastic deal! It was also perfectly sweet and tart -- highly recommend! The happy hour food menu is a tad bit limited, especially for vegetarians. I ordered the spinach dip, which was delicious (very similar to Hillstone's spinach dip). I'd love to see them add one or two other small options for food!

First of all the food is just okay, nothing out of the ordinary. The drinks were definitely a little better though. Now comes my real problem (which may be unnecessary), but I don't understand the teddy bear theme. It doesn't match the vibe of the place at all and seems so out of place. The "theme" consists of a giant teddy bear that I guess they move around to different tables (?) and some branding on their plating. It just seems kitschy but not in a good way. Also, my friend and I went on a Friday night and all of the tvs were playing Cartoon Network so not sure what that was about either. There is complimentary valet behind the restaurant that accepts tips. read more

Came here with a friend for dinner and we luckily made it during happy hour. We were able to valet (complementary, accepts tips) and was seated immediately upon arriving. During our time here, the waiter was attentive and provided great customer service! We ordered a few items for the table - Caesar salad, calamari, crab cake, and crab fingers. We thoroughly enjoyed each item and it came out fresh! For drinks, we both ordered the pornstar martini and this is a nice drink especially to get during the happy hour. For the mains, I chose the cajun truffle mafaldine and added fried catfish. The pasta was creamy and the crunchy catfish provided an extra layer of texture. I did try my friend's smash cheeseburger and it was tasty - especially the caramelized onions. We did order a desert - milk and cookies - but the cookies were too soft to go with the milk and just broke apart after dipping. The flavors are there but a harder cookie would make it work. I've been here several times and the Caesar salad and cornbread croutons keeps pulling me back! This place is honestly the cutest with Teddy bears located in various places. The ambiance is perfect for date night, girls night or even a solo date. I'm a big fan of their happy hour which quickly packs out by 5pm. They have a bar located upstairs as well as downstairs. I typically get the por*star martini which is delightful. The service is always swell when I visit and they are always so friendly. I bookmarked them recently. We came in late on a Saturday night with no resy, kudos for accommodating us. We were seated in the back. We ordered various items. We shared the oysters which were tasty. I had a burger, which I meant to request no cheese, but forgot. So it wasnt the most enjoyable because if that for me, but it lacked something else. Everyone else said their food was ok too. Highly recommend if you hit the happy hour the deals are so worth it! You get full portions of the plate during happy hour and the food was really good. I will warn that the food was a bit on the spicy side, might just have been me, but everything from the calamari to the burger had some heat. The service was phenomenal and so friendly! I would definitely recommend making a reservation so it's fairly new and a popular TikTok venue. I will say too it's very dark inside. They keep the lights low and have small table lamps so it's intimate, but definitely on the darker side. First off let's give an applause for the ambiance! The decor, music, and designs give the perfect spot for celebrations, happy hour, or I just need to meet up! Since it felt like California in the winter, we opted for outdoor seating. Perfection! The service was stellar because our waitress was attentive, made suggestions, and overall great attitude. I was upset they were out of oysters and calamari to try but the spinach dip and main entrees made up for it! My sister tried the smash burger, truffle fries, and peach bellini. She said the dressing/jam was the star of the show. I had the catfish and grits. First, thank you for serving real catfish not swai. They didn't miss seasoning the filet, awesome!!! The food was pretty good, but it was nothing outstanding and it took a while to arrive. My table shared the Calamari (served with fried olives, zucchini) and the Wings (biryani spiced, served with citrus ranch). For my entree, I ordered the Spicy Lamb (served with chimichurri, asparagus). This place is very Instagrammable; they even have giant teddy bears around for people to take pictures with. Came here for a girl lunch and it was exactly the vibe we were looking for. The ambiance was super cute. Definitely not a "roll in wearing sweats" kind of place, but also not overly fancy or intimidating. Just the perfect in between where you feel put together but still comfortable. The playlist was great too, which honestly makes a difference. The food was delicious across the board, and I have to shout out the zero-proof drinks -- easily 10/10. The Charlotte is a newer restaurant with an amazing Happy Hour, great service and even greater food and drinks. The Happy Hour is $9 and the portions are amazing. All food was fresh and my favorites have to be the pornstar martini that comes with a small side of prosecco. Love the Caesar salad with cornbread croutons. The decor is vibrant and sleek. Upstairs allows for higher views and a cute outdoor patio. read more

The food was delicious! The drinks were tasty! My party and I ordered the spicy vodka pasta with salmon and the spaghetti and fish. We also ordered alcoholic beverages and an oyster appetizer... yummy but needed crackers or bread to go with it. The service was okay, nothing spectacular. We had reservations for outside on a really warm day, wish there were fans out there and ice water coming regularly but instead we got room temperature water and had to ask for ice. The restaurant is decorated nice and cozy, perfect for cute pics! The parking is a bit challenging but I was able to park right outside the restaurant. I am delinquent in submitting this review. My little sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters and I went here for lunch on Sunday, 6/22/25. I made reservations online for us for 11:15a. We got there around 11a or so and were seated with no issues. We went to "The Lion King" musical afterwards. The waitress (Charlotte) was good. We ordered calamari for the appetizer. She had never had calamari and enjoyed it! On a negative note, they were out of chicken wings (her favorite!) = couldn't give 5 stars because of that (sad face). She had Steak and Eggs, and I had Shrimp & Grits. All Good! I will go back again with my family and/or when my little sister and I go see "The Wiz" in September. read more

I loved this place and they have a killer happy hour! I will say you def need a reservation. We didn't have one but we got lucky and grabbed a bar seat. The bartender Autumn was super cool. For happy hour we got the calamari, elote, Wagyu glizzy and burger. Everything was amazing except the elote. The glizzy and calamari was my favorite! I've only had a chance to hang at the upstairs bar but it was a blast. The bartender was so fun and made us amazing espresso martinis. I saw someone eating the calamari and I have to go back and try. So this review news created under a secondary account I will post it to my primarySORRY So I've officially visited The Charlotte after attending Orchestra Noir at the Majestic downtown on Saturday. A girlfriend that attended the concert with me recommended we swing by forsoemthing light to eat. Parking was great and hassle free "Valet!" IYKYK., As you get older you stop circling the block and appreciate the experience. Fidelity the restaurant is very cute and the time is set at grown and sexy. We were greeted by James and hen I say this youngannwas everywhere ..." host, server, wishing us a great night and Happy Easter and even giving a pen on the way out! ( That man needs a raise; job security at its finest honey!) Okay back to the story. So we told him we didn't have a reservation but we would sit at the bar if open seating was available. He notified us of 2 bars first floor and second floor and recc the second floor. When we were seated we were greeted by Bri our server and when I tell you Sis skin and makeup were flawless (she did that) , but my friend and I both went for the Caesar Salads ( I added grilled shrimp and salmon), I had an amazing cocktail and my friend tried the Chicken Nuggets and Caviar. Then after eating and catching up we were introduced to Michael bartender, patron of all things awesome, and a part-time comedian. He was great! In the house of closing they all still remained happy, shared a couple of laughs and did amazing. I will be back for happy hour and brunch. Thank you all for an amazing experience Your favorite Dental Hygienist will be back with dental goodies soon enough for those that made my first visit beyond what I expected. read more

First I loved the decor. The restaurant is much larger than expected, we were sat at our reservation time, the music was good, and the menu has a good amount of variety. In addition they have a happy hour that goes until 7 with a variety of foods and drinks (it is vodka heavy which wasn't a pro for me but could be great for others), and the house margarita was pretty good. As for the not so great, our waiter was cordial but not very knowledgeable on the menu. When I asked for gluten free options he suggested the pasta or hamburger (though there were salmon and branzino on the menu). But after suggesting he ask the chef about specific dishes he confirmed the crispy duck fit the bill. I ordered that dish and the cabbage (turns out, despite confirmations, that the cabbage is not gluten free as it is topped with bread crumbs, which was unexpected and not mentioned on menu). The cabbage also came out halfway through my meal; not ideal. The crispy duck is not actually crispy, since it is covered in sauce, and was smaller than expected, but had good flavor. We weren't offered dessert, but when I asked for options I was told there was no dessert menu but there was a gluten free brownie option (though they don't warm the brownie). I passed on dessert. I think this place is new, the location is great, there is free valet, and the staff is nice (though they could maybe use more training/testing of food so that they can give opinions). All that said, despite the hiccups I'd try it again and would definitely recommend it for anyone without any gluten intolerances. read more

LOVED my experience here! The entire experience from the food, the service and the ambiance was so detailed and intentional. We got the oysters and the elote to start and they were phenomenal. The Cajun and garlic seasoning was to die for on the oysters. I got the salmon and it was cooked perfect and it had fantastic flavor. Stephen was a great server and took great care of us. Allaysia was also so kind to us and gave us one of the large teddy bears to sit with at our table. Would love to see another location pop up in OKC if they expand!! read more

We went here to celebrate a family member's birthday and it was great! From the Valet guys to the Waitstaff and ambiance. It's definitely a vibey-type place that is decoratively pleasing. Semi-formal dress would be appropriate attire but some people were dress more casually. The food did not disappoint as well. Hats off to the Chef. Everything we ordered was excellent. read more

went for happy hour and light dinner with a friend. Definitely great place for a good girl's night. They wouldn't seat me unless the whole party was there although it was only two of us, I understand since the place was busy. the Place overall is so pretty and has great aesthetic. We got to sit on the patio which was perfect as it as nice weather. We got the calarami which was good and the elote corn. The corn had good flavor but may request for it to be taken off the cob if possible next time. We ordered the vodka pasta with chicken - it was okay. nothing crazy but good. Great experience for Happy Hour! The Pornstar Martini is absolutely delicious and comes with a topper of champagne which is the perfect touch! We ordered off the happy hour menu and started with the spinach artichoke dip which was a classic staple and well done. The Caesar salad was not my favorite, very heavy on the anchovies which was a huge downside, but the homemade cornbread croutons were to die for! The burger was delicious on a light and airy bun and you have to get a side of the truffle fries, they are... WOW! Crisp and crunch with the perfect touch of salt and the light truffle Parmesan flavor! Can't wait to come back for dinner! The bear theme is adorable and is so cute for a girls night or date night! Finally a restaurant in the area with GREAT music. I truly enjoyed this place. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is great, and the service is nice. The moment I saw Family Matters on the TVs I just knew it was going to be a good night. My girlfriends and I had a reservation at 7PM on a Wednesday and it was PACKED. We unfortunately didn't get seated at our table until about 7:30ish! The wait didn't really bother us, we also understood the restaurant opened this month. Just a heads up - the bar isn't big, and was extremely packed to grab a drink before eating. Once we were seated, everything ran extremely smoothly. We started off with the crab fingers (lemon butter option) and the Caesar salad - best decision. The crab fingers were so good, and each little lettuce had dressing...very happy. The cornbread croutons in the Caesar add a little sweet touch to the salad, which I enjoyed! For entrees - we all shared the spicy vodka pasta, the spicy lamb chops, and the filet! My favorite out of the bunch was the lamb chops for sure. They were full of flavor! If you can't handle spice, I wouldn't recommend the lamb chops, but I loved them! The filet was just okay, I was truly hoping for more flavor, it let me down. I also enjoyed the spicy vodka, but looking back, I wish I would have added a protein to it. The Charlotte DID NOT disappoint, and I need to go back to try the smash cheeseburger! This restaurant was such a good time. read more

Went to Charlotte for Happy Hour after hearing about it from a friend. It adds a little charm to Lower Greenville since this area is typically more for bars and a younger crowd. The whole restaurant has a "teddy bear theme" which was interesting. We were there opening week, but yet the service was on par. They were attentive and were helpful in making choices from the menu. I opted for the calamari as I wasn't too hungry, the taste was good and it came with an olive tapebade of some kind which was different. The only thing is the calamari fried portion kept falling off which I didn't love. It made it a little messy to eat. My friend got the Wagyu glizzy which is essentially a hotdog with onions and such on it. We also had some drinks that were delicious from the refresher menu. They both were tasty and had a good alcohol content to them as well. I love the Happy Hour menu, but also want to come back to try the regular menu. Definitely check this place out! read more

We decided to try this restaurant on our anniversary because my wife saw that they have cute stuff bears positioned throughout the restaurant. (Cutesy). We arrive on time for our 6:30 reservations and used their valet service behind the restaurant. This is a very busy section of Henderson ave with multiple restaurants along the street. We were greeted by the young hostess and offered us a seat near the door but we decline that seat. When a table opened on the patio we quickly took it. First thing you notice are the stuff bears strategically place around. It is clearly a talking point. This is an eclectic place. There are few things I want share about our experience: 1. Friday was happy hour when we arrived so some appetizers were discounted so we had calamari and spinach dip. Surprisingly they were very good. Good enough to order again. 2. Cocktails were on point, peach Bellini and house margarita both at happy hour prices 3. My wife had crab fried rice that was more Caribbean style verse Asian style but she liked it too. 4. I had the catfish and spaghetti dish that was good We did not have dessert so no comment on that part of the menu. All in all this was a good dining experience. However, I do not think we were their target customer because every one of their guest seems to be under 40. read more

This is such a cute spot! My favorite drink was the star martini and I loved the spicy vodka pasta. The martini had hints of vanilla and tasted very fresh. The lavender gin drink was good as well, just not as unique as the martini. The spicy vodka pasta was the best dish of the night! It was packed with flavor and tasted like a comfort food. I'd skip the crab fried rice. It tastes more like regular seasoned rice with hints of soy sauce than what comes to mind when you read "fried rice". The sauce in the crab claws is packed with buttery flavor. The service was impeccable! read more

I came here even after hearing a few bad things about it on TikTok .. and they were all right unfortunately.. they said the workers are all rude and as soon as I walked in the door this woman at the host stand gave me the nastiest look.. and everyone seemed like they did not want to be there. Just grumpy no one's smiling and just not a good environment. I had the charbroiled oysters and enjoyed those. The truffle fries were not good.. didn't taste the truffle and they also add 20% gratuity to every check. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. I had asked for a booth & wanted to sit in front room. The hostess said no a problem. She handed us off to a younger hostess and she took us to a table. I told her I had requested a booth. In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!

They use flat long pasta in their Cacio e Pepe that is so delicious, flavorful, and hearty and top the dish off with a generous amount of Parmesan cheese. I also appreciate how late their kitchen is open in the evenings (10-11 pm) so you can stop by for a late night bite.

I visited The Charlotte American Bistro to celebrate my birthday with friends, and unfortunately, it was underwhelming across the board. First off--no birthday perks. Not even a complimentary dessert or a simple gesture, which was disappointing for what was supposed to be a special night. For appetizers, I had the Biryani Spiced Chicken Wings. While they were fried crispy like traditional wings, they lacked the promised spice. They tasted like basic fried chicken with no real seasoning depth. My entrée was the Cajun Truffle Mafaldine with Blackened Chicken, which was incredibly bland. I asked for crushed red pepper just to add something to the dish, but it still lacked flavor. Nothing about it said "Cajun" or "truffle." I also tried the Pornstar Martini and Peach Bellini--both were just okay. Not bad, but definitely not worth the price. One thing I was looking forward to was dining with one of the restaurant's giant teddy bears (a cute detail often shown in photos). Sadly, no teddy at our table, which was a missed opportunity for a fun vibe. The ambience didn't live up to expectations--the space was just average, not the glam or stylish setting social media suggested. On top of that, the restaurant was noticeably warm, and my guests had to use handheld fans. We even requested extra ice multiple times just to stay cool. To make matters worse, there were flies and gnats inside the restaurant, which was not only unpleasant but really off-putting while eating. The only highlight? They offer complimentary valet, which was convenient. Overall, the experience felt like a more expensive version of Applebee's--with less flavor. Thankfully, my dish didn't disappoint. I've also recently become a Caesar salad enthusiast, and let me tell you: their Caesar salad is top-tier. It's served with unique cornbread croutons, which are a delightful twist. I added a fried catfish filet to mine, and it was absolutely divine. The bartenders on both visits were friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. They walked us through the menu, gave fantastic recommendations, and ensured our drinks were perfection. We have been waiting quite some time to visit The Charlotte, and now that we finally made it in from Houston, it absolutely did not disappoint. Everything was perfect starting with valet. Clear instructions on how to retrieve our vehicle, and they were genuinely hospitable. When we walked in, the hostess greeted us with a smile, checked in our reservation, and even gave us an accurate wait time before our table was ready. Once seated, our server approached the table with amazing energy. She was knowledgeable, funny, and extremely accommodating throughout the entire experience. We had a reservation, yet we (along with guests before and after us) waited 25 minutes to be seated--all while plenty of empty tables sat untouched on a Thursday evening. The hamburger was decent but nothing memorable, and both the spaghetti and fish were average at best--the fish in particular was soggy and lacked the texture you'd expect. This spot was a great late evening venue that my wife and I happened to stumble upon, but boy am I glad we did! The bartender Gabby made a great signature Manhattan that paired well with those ribeye skewers. Talk about hitting that starter palette right. While we mainly stayed on the drinks and other starters for a while, we ended up enjoying the vibes this place had to offer so so much that we had to try the spicy lamb chops. I've gone to The Charlotte twice and had DeAnnah as my server both times. She was such an amazing, attentive and fun host. She made the experience very special. The restaurant manager, Brazil, even came by to greet us and checked back in to ask about the food and service towards the end. All the food we had was delicious, especially the oysters and the frozen espresso tequila martini. To die for! This time my group sat outside on the upstairs patio.
