    Crab Cake Lollipops

A group of five enjoyed dinner here and we were all impressed. The food, the service, the ambiance were all outstanding. We started with crab cake lollipops, I moved on to the roasted Halibut and then enjoyed a perfect tiramisu cheesecake for dessert. I wouldn't change a thing. If you are looking for an exceptional dining experience while in Dallas then put this on your agenda

We ordered lunch for our office from Dakotas. We thought they have very affordable lunch specials. We all enjoyed our choices and I am sure they are even better dining in. Would definitely recomend.

Went to Dakota's Steakhouse in downtown Dallas for a partner dinner--and it absolutely delivered. First off, the location is such a dope experience. It's tucked underground, so you actually take an elevator down to get there (don't worry, there's stairs if elevators aren't your thing). From the moment you walk in, it feels private and elevated--perfect lighting, great music, and an overall vibe that just tells you you're in the right place for a good time. Service was solid across the board, but let's get to the real highlight: the food. The filet mignon was top-tier--great quality and cooked perfectly. But the standout of the night? The Wagyu dumplings. Easily the best appetizer on the table. And the sauce... next level. Everyone loved it so much we ended up ordering extra just to have with our mains. Sides did not miss either. The loaded mashed potatoes were incredibly smooth and rich--exactly what you want. Brussels sprouts were on point with great flavor and bacon. Crab cakes were another win--if you're a crab cake fan, don't skip those. Only small note: the tater tots were a bit smaller than expected, but still packed good flavor. Overall, Dakota's is far from your "typical" steakhouse. Between the unique setting, great atmosphere, and standout dishes, it definitely earns a spot on my go-to list in Dallas.

    Beef Wellington

Great truffle risotto, mixed mushrooms, and clam chowder. We were seated right on time for our reservation and the atmosphere was really nice. Beef Wellington was cooked to perfection and the portion size was generous. Service was amazing, our glasses were always full and our server was very friendly and attentive. Dakota's never disappoints!

Dakota's Steakhouse is an underground gem downtown and a great spot for a birthday lunch celebration We started with the hors d'oeuvres, and honestly they were all hits, no misses -Deviled Egg with prosciutto, chives & cheddar crisps had a unique taste but very enjoyable. -Chicken Nugget Caviar was surprisingly good pairing. -Oysters Rockefeller, I am not a huge seafood fan, but these were solid (that creamed spinach was the winner for me) -Tater Tot Bites with white cheddar & truffle aioli was flavorful and satisfying Everything was pleasing overall One small hiccup: I ordered one of each, but two of everything came out, At the time, I assumed that's just how they served it only to later notice a $22 overcharge The waiter was extremely kind and attentive, so I didn't make a fuss however, I do wish my request had been acknowledged. Service was still top-tier He celebrated the birthday girl with a card and finished us off with what I believe was a tiramisu cheesecake which was so delicious! Main course Beef Teriyaki with jasmine rice and asparagus was tender, flavorful, and perfectly sauced . Also ordered the Chicken Parmesan which was just okay. The sauce was good , but the chicken lacked flavor. Final verdict: Flavorchaser Approved Great ambiance, amazing staff, and I'd definitely return.

Amazing view of the waterfall while we dined was top tier! Classy and elegant

10/10 experience! The ambiance was top tier, and the food was just as impressive. We had the Beef Wellington, mushroom risotto, honey carrots, and the cutest tater tot appetizer ever. Every dish was beautifully plated, creative, and absolutely delicious. The Beef Wellington practically melted in your mouth. If you're on the fence about trying this place, go! Oh yeah service was very professional. We'll definitely be back.

Dakota's Steakhouse is excellence in every aspect! I want this Beef Wellington to be my last meal on earth! lol Very classy and romantic place. complimentary valet parking. Our waiter was amazing and the owner came by our table several times checking on the service and food that we had. We had great conversation with him and he sent over a complimentary dessert tiramisu cheesecake. There was a piano player playing in the background and a waterfall you could see on one side of the restaurant. Their espresso martinis are pretty delicious as well. Go here for your next special occasion celebration!

Came here for date night and left wanting to come back again soon! Make sure to make a reservation before you arrive. The ambiance here is super intimate. The server recommended us some delicious appetizer that left me wanting more. I still think about the mash potatoes till this day. It's a steakhouse so of course we have to get steak. When they bring out the steak, they want you to cut it infront of them to make sure it is to your liking. While I'm unsure what happens if you don't like it, I loved mine. The beef Wellington and filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend coming if you're looking for a date night spot.

Wife and I came out for a special occasion. It's a fantastic location, heart of downtown but a subterranean restaurant that you take an elevator to. Wish we sat next to the water feature, we were in the middle of the main walkway. Staff were very respectful but it was a lot of foot traffic by us which does take away some of the ambience. We did enjoy our food, had a wide range of apps, main entrees and deserts We enjoyed the experience but not sure we'll rush back. There are a lot of great places in town that I may rank ahead.

We were excited to try this restaurant for my husband's birthday since it was one of the few steakhouses we hadn't been to and our son -- who goes there frequently -- had great things to say about it. We requested to sit outside to enjoy the water feature, but unfortunately, the patio was weatherproofed that night, so we didn't get to experience the outdoor atmosphere we were hoping for. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, but it tasted sour. I mentioned this to our waiter, who quickly tried to dismiss it. My husband tasted it as well and agreed that it seemed like the bottle had been open too long and had gone bad. The waiter again brushed it off and started to walk away, and I had to stop him to explain that I couldn't drink it. He reluctantly took it back. Overall, the food was good, but the wine experience and service left something to be desired. Unfortunately, that was enough to leave us disappointed, and I don't think we'll be returning anytime soon.

Took my boyfriend to Dakota's for his 34th birthday after hearing great things from coworkers & learning about the underground waterfall and unique downstairs elevator experience. I made a reservation in advance and requested seating near the waterfall if possible. We were seated quickly, but the seating process was a bit chaotic, we were first placed right next to another couple in an otherwise mostly empty room, then moved to a half-circle booth, and finally relocated again next to the waterfall area. We were told the seating request had been noted, but the waterfall feature wasn't even running that evening, which was disappointing given the expectation. Service throughout the meal was fine but not particularly memorable, especially considering the price point and reputation. For entrees, we ordered the tomahawk steak and lamb chops, which were both solid and what you'd expect from a high-end Dallas steakhouse. Unfortunately, the experience around the meal overshadowed the food itself. With so many strong steakhouse options in Dallas, I'd personally try out Al Biernat's, Nick & Sam's, or STK Steakhouse instead.

We took my cousins here and this was their first time here. They were very impressed. We started out with the tater tots, not just tater tots but tater tots oozing with white cheddar cheesy goodness. We ordered a dozen oysters and asked what size they were and our waiter said medium! The only disappointment of the night. We corrected him and said they're small to tiny!!! We also ordered the tartare cannolis! So so good! We ended up ordering more! Oh and something different that Dakotas does is you order appetizers by the piece. They have an extensive wine list also. Hubby and me split the Cowboy Ribeye. Cooked absolutely perfect! Melt in your mouth. My cousins split the New York Strip. Cooked perfectly. They said one of the best steaks they've ever had. Service is amazing. Lots of waitstaff. Our waiter Brian was so awesome! I would ask for him again. I would also ask to be seated in the bar area. The setting is absolutely beautiful! Try Dakotas!

Intimate, quiet, and chill. Reasonable price for a steakhouse. The waiter was very attentive and pleasant. The food was good. I enjoyed myself plate and would recommend trying it for yourself. Definitely a date night spot

Two Stars. Both from the Truffle Fries…read more This place really broke my heart. I love this area and the beautiful Crescent complex. Word of mouth and Yelp have sang praises so we finally made it happen. The lead up is insane. Park under the building, take an elevator up, walk through the beautiful alcove and there it is - Sixty Vines. Swanky, dark, and sultry - a bit much for my taste, but I get the idea. Our waiter was nice, but could not get wine to our table. Like - acted as if there was some Harry Potter issue going on, just could not get wine to our table. And I know that's a lot to ask, but also shouldn't be, considering it's a wine bar. The place was dead - 5 PM on a Monday and he even prefaced by saying as much, and suggesting we try a few, but every time we'd order a glass, or heaven-forbid a flight, he'd disappear for literally a half hour. I get that people get busy, but wine at a wine bar just feels easy. We had the zucchini and the truffle fries - they genuinely banged. Zucchini could've used a little more love and care, but the fries were crazy. I could've eaten them all night. Had a few great wines too, but again, crazy how long it took to get to my table - and I could see the taps! No one was busy. Real Bummer. I told him several times to bring some red before my main so I could enjoy something dark with the red sauce, and low-and-be-freaking-hold, I finished my BRAISED PORK with a Sauvignon Blanc. Did I do something to offend? Was I being punished? IDK. The Braised Pork Pappardelle and the shrimp-garlic pasta thing was fine. The shrimp one being really garlicky - probably a bit too much. For some fu**a** reason, they both came to our table on the colder side, again, why? We literally had plans to go through a few reds and bubbles, but after two hours of this, we said "let's leave". So we paid and bounced. It's a fine place, I guess, it just really flopped for us. James T. put it nicely, "So middle of the road, absolutely and unmistakably average." Just hurts after months of this place being talked up, getting a baby sitter, driving an hour, and dropping $150 for this place to miss the mark. If service was better this could've been a 3-4 star review. Really makes a difference. I'll be at Hudson House & Barcelona Wine Bar if you need me. MGMT: Figure the service out - please. I'd be happy to try again, but I need to know my food will be hot and the wine will flow - again, it is a wine bar after all.

I have driven by this place no less than a thousand times and have lived in Dallas over the course…read moreof probably about 15 years. Ironically, I've actually never been inside. Until this past weekend. We went in for my partner's birthday, and I'm sure glad we did. They normally don't like rich desserts or cakes, but they love pretty nice, high end dark chocolates. Chocolate Secrets did not disappoint. We arrived with our family, including two little ones in tow. They actually treated our kids with such love and care. It was slightly understaffed, but even then the service was excellent. We ended up taking a box of nine chocolates to go. Pro tip: they also host jazz nights on most nights. It also seems like a really cool spot for hosting events. My favorite so far was the Yes Yes Yes Truffle. It has milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and white chocolate. All in all, a Dallas institution that I'm so glad I went to.

I had a craving for ice cream and was surprised when this place came up in my Google search…read more I had already bookmarked it for jazz night / poetry night, and I knew that they sold chocolate, but I had no idea they had ice cream as well. So I decided to swing by. It was a great decision because their house made pistachio ice cream is the best pistachio ice cream I've ever had anywhere in the world. Pistachio is one of my favorite flavors, and this was simply the best. Chock full of pistachios. The perfect balance of sweet with just a pinch of saltiness. Creamy and delicious and just the absolute perfect treat for a 105° day. Unfortunately, I didn't stay as long as I would have liked because when I first walked in I was greeted with the stench of mildew. I'm not sure if they had some sort of water intrusion event recently, but but there was a strong musty mildew smell soon as I walked through the door. In addition to the ice cream, I also bought some chocolate covered mango and apricot but I ended up taking that to go because I couldn't deal with the smell any longer. I tried my chocolate covered treats when I got home but unfortunately the chocolate just didn't have any taste. None whatsoever. It was rather disappointing. The staff was kind and friendly and welcoming so I appreciated that, and while my visit was much shorter than I anticipated, I would come back for a (quick!) couple scoops of that pistachio ice cream.
