They have long-time employees that I remember from when I was a little girl. Back then, my dad would pick up food for our family one night a week, and now I am continuing the tradition. I love that they have most of the same recipes after all these years between the grab & go at the front, and also in the deli in the back. If you haven't been to Tilton Market, be sure to stop in. It's not customizable or made to order unfortunately. All of the sandwiches and flat bread options are sitting behind the counter with flies flying around & the sandwiches are served soggy. I've visited twice now at different times & this was my experience on both visits. I've tried the ugly tomato turkey, the tuna & the blueberry sundae. The sandwiches were okay & quite overpriced at $17-18. I don't like gorgonzola & the first sandwich I tried had very little cheese & more dressing, so I enjoyed it more than the second time when it was swimming in cheese with little dressing but lots of mayo. The tuna didn't have a great bread to fish ratio but I did like the pepperoncini's. The focaccia would've been better if it wasn't soggy. However, I do like that they use sourdough & organic flour in all the bread. The blueberry sundae uses 1-900 ice cream & that vanilla is truly outstanding with the blueberry pie, but it's also very steep in price. You can also get an assortment of wine bottles here & some premade salads in the fridge. They have some indoor & outdoor seating as well, but the ambiance isn't great. It's a shop with long lines at times & only street parking.

The friendly service is the first thing you will notice with a warm welcome and ease of ordering. The decor is updated, the restaurant is immaculately clean and the setting fitting for a nice sit down lunch, brunch. Most Importantly, the food is amazing! They offer both bottled and fountain drinks, keeping things easy and classic. We kicked things off with the fried pickles. I'll admit, I am not usually a fan, but my dining partner insisted. At around $10, these were worth every penny. They were hand-battered, not frozen, and came out steaming hot with a side of ranch. The portion was huge, and to my surprise, they were excellent. If fried pickles are your thing, these are a must-try. For the main course, I nearly went with the fried flounder sandwich, but at the last second I joined my friend in ordering the Jersey Devil Cheeseburger. This beast of a burger was an 8-ounce spicy patty cooked to order and topped with Thousand Island, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, fried onions, and mushrooms on a Kaiser roll. At $11.99, it came with a pickle and a side dish, and I went with the slaw. It was fresh and tasty, though my friend thought it could use a little more vinegar. The burger itself was fresh, huge, and delivered on its promise of heat. It even came crowned with a whole roasted jalapeño pepper as garnish. For me, the cayenne packed a little too much punch without much flavor, and I think smoked jalapeños might make an even better choice. Still, my friend loved it, and we both left full and satisfied. Molly's Kitchen is the kind of place you want to have in your back pocket. It's simple, friendly, and serving up hearty food that feels made with care.
