I use to have to wait until I am in the divisadero area to get my favorite cheesesteaks but now I'm so glad they brought this shop to our small residential plaza. Ordered Philly Joe's king size sandwich with sweet potato fries and it's such a perfect combination. It's all super yummy and worth the wait for them to open in the morning. Close enough to the philly sandwich we got in Philadelphia. My husband ordered the sizzling pig King size sandwich. He likes it too. The staff and the owner are very friendly. I've been going all the way to Divisadero St for Cheese Steak Shop since the 90's. I was so happy once this one opened up close to home. Automatically I recognized Teresa from Yelp reviews & her replying to everyone's reviews. She was so nice! From the past at other locations, I started to become disappointed, because the portions were skimpy & the price was high. I'm so ecstatic to report thst the portions were huge! So much meat. Delicious good 'ol cheesesteaks, as if they have been here forever. The staff are very friendly, the food is hot and cheesy and really hit the spot. Ingredients are very fresh. My daughter had the cheesesteak hoagie, son had the king size motown cheeseteak, and I have the regular motown cheeseteak with sweet peppers and hot peppers. The food was ready with swiftness, tables were clean, I mean this is a great spot to get a pretty authentic cheesesteak. Went here for the first time yesterday May 24, 2023 around 10:45 am. Food was ok i ordered the The King Of Philly with Large steak fries. Bread was a bot on the colder side an the meat seemed like it needed a bit more seasoning i had an up charge of mushrooms but didn't seem like there was much mushrooms to begin with, the steak fries was soggy a bit under cooked as well. The worse part of it all was that they offered a reward program that i happened to see while waiting for my order so i asked the lady if i downloaded the app was i able to get my reward points added to my acct, she said yes an let her know when i was done filling out my info on the app. After i went through the process i had to remind her to add the pts to my acct, she looked like she didn't know what she was doing an after checking her computer acting like she was adding my pts she said it takes a few hours for my points to show up on my acct, low an behold theres still no pts on my acct. i love Philly Cheesesteak so I will give this place another try since its the closes cheesesteak place near my house read more

We came during lunch time and there was a line and we were expecting it to be long wait for our food, but it didn't. It came out super fast even though it was made to order, which had me worrying at first thinking the food was not cook thoroughly but it came out perfect. We heard about this place from my coworker and whenever we drove past the place it looked packed my wife joined the loyalty program and while they're not set up with the scanner the cashier gave us the free drink and fries we got for joining the loyalty program my wife got the Motown and I got a western king size the sandwiches were packed with a lot of meat with sweet peppers on top the hot peppers have a good kick I'm glad we got them on the side the sandwiches were delicious and an excellent value as there's no fillers such as lettuce tomatoes if you're looking for something new swing by the pacifica location there's plenty of free parking with 2 flat screens to watch the warriors play the dining area is spartan but clean we will definitely be back to try the other sandwiches read more

Owner and staff is mad cool, the spot has that diner joint style, the service is great and fast. I got the regular Philly the first time with fries and it did not disappoint with the flavoring and just hit the spot.. The second try the owner suggested his favorite but I end giving going with his second suggestion extra meat, mushroom, sweet peppers, lettuce, hot pepper and that cheese wiz is just freakin awesome!! Habit forming indeed! I am so glad they finally opened a cheesesteak shop in my neighborhood! I no longer have to drive 30 minutes away to get good cheesesteak - this spot is just as good, if not, better!! I only have ONE important, fair and constructive complaint about this great place. But first, my reasons for the 5 stars: 1)Location (less than 5 minute drive) 2)Friendly staff/Professional manager 3)Food is excellent and delicious 4)Reasonable price for good quality/quantity 5)Many toppings and choices in menu My only single objection here and this is very important to me as a loyal customer: I have been going to this place for almost a year and I only order one thing here and that is the KING SIZE philly joe cheesesteak. My complaint here is that there have been a few times (less than 5 times to be exact) that whenever I order KING SIZE I get what looks like a regular size instead. This happened last night in particular, and its what drove me to write this review. I hope the management sees this and reminds their staff to kindly look at their computer screen/tags and read them carefully. There is an upcharge of extra $4 for this upgrade (not bad). But whenever they get it right, believe me, it is so worth it for a very hungry person! I just hope that they address this issue, because for me personally, last night, I didn't eat the whole day, so I was excited to order the king size, but in a rare occurrence, I was unfortunately disappointed by the outcome. I did ask the young man who made my sandwich if it's a king size, he seemed nice and quickly responded "yeah" but I knew it wasn't a king size, though the sandwich was nonetheless flavorful. I finished the sandwich quicker than usual whereas if it was bigger, it would take longer, that's how I knew as well. Also, through visual experience in my past identical orders, I know for sure what the king size looks like. I do apologize to the management/staff for this rant, but I had to get it off my chest.
