Ordered online and the food was ready in about 20-25 minutes--which was fast considering the order had 5 cheese steaks, cheese steak fries, a meatball sandwich, 3 sides and chicken tenders! Each cheesesteak had different requests--some with no cheese, 1 with American cheese, 1 with Provolone, 1 with both, some with onions, some without, some with hot peppers, some with sweet--and each and every cheesesteak was made correctly and wrapped securely! The food and service here are second to none. I hardly go out of my way to post reviews, especially for places I've only visited twice, but I just had to ensure that the efforts of this place and its employees don't go unnoticed. First, the food. It's delicious, and for the price of a King size sandwich, you get an absurd amount of filling. My personal favorite is the Motown Philly with Steak, Mushrooms, and onions. The flavors blend together perfectly, and it's an amazing replication, if not legitimate entry, in actual cheesesteak sandwiches from Philadelphia. The fries and curly fries are nicely seasoned and are generously provided. It is all in all a perfectly filling meal that is definitely, as they say, habit forming. Second, the service. I can't say enough nice things about the service. The people I've interacted with there have all been so extremely nice. When I went in for the first time, it came out in the conversation with the cashier that I've never been there before. As I went to go sit down and eat, he came by my table, remembering the name I had given for my order, and says "since it's your first time here Aileen, here's a drink on us", and hands me a free cup for the drink fountain. And since my arm was broken at the time of the visit, he also said "hope you get better soon." These two things were enough to cement this place as a staple for many dinners to come. But then, when I came back, a different cashier was there to help me, and she was just as helpful and kind as the guy before- which I didn't even think could be possible! Seriously, this place rocks. Love that you're in Fairmont!! That's a very dangerous thing for our family. For a long time, decades, we had to go to Divisadero for your deliciousness and eventually we stopped. Not because of the distance, but because of the quality. As the years went by, it seemed like the amount of meat got smaller and smaller, at least at this location it did so we eventually stopped going. When you guys came along my faith in The Cheesesteak Shop was restored at THIS location. The owner and his wife are both so extremely nice. Keep up the great work and great quality food and DON'T get chintzy on the meat! Please stay consistent! I still give you guys five stars because the overall quality of the food is fantastic but a while back we ordered cheese fries with the cheese on the side. You guys gave us one tiny to go ramekin of cheese. I'm guessing about 2 tablespoons in a container. When asked for a few extras you guys charged us 75 cents each. Come on. You're better than that. I'm not saying to make it free but if someone orders cheese fries, then you need to give them a little bit more than one of those puny little containers. And if you're going to charge them extra, which is ok, then at least make the portion bigger. You guys are doing a great job! read more

This place is the best restaurant in the entire shopping center it's located in. That's not really saying much, as all the other ones are terrible, but it is my go-to when I'm feeling very lazy and just want to walk a block and grab some food, since I live very close. The owner and his wife (?) are super nice and friendly. They go out of their way to know the regulars and strike up a conversation with everyone. I saw the wife once be super nice to a man and his son, and it was heartwarming. She asked him about his school day and how he's doing and I could tell she truly cared. The owner is also awesome and when we went during opening week, he was very friendly and looked genuinely happy to be doing business. My only complaint is that I wish there was a little bit more meat in the sandwiches. Even when you get the King, I think it could be stuffed a bit more. Sometimes the ends of the load aren't cut, so the ends are just bread heels with the meat more in the center. That said, I'd definitely go again without question. The meat is good quality and the cheese and peppers are excellent. I even downloaded the app, which I hate doing, because I know I'll be going to this place often. Interior is very clean, but it's a franchise, so that's expected. Not much character, but I don't need it to have character. It has good food and great staff and that's all I care about. read more

Tried this place just now and thought I'd leave a review while it's still fresh in my mind. The place was busy which I expected. Took about 15-20 minutes for my name to get called. Again, it was expected as they make it to order. Notes: - they put my order in a to go bag; I asked to eat in so I had to deal with not eating on a tray which would have been more convenient but not that big of a deal. -ketchup dispenser was empty; they have packets on the counter so again, not that big of a deal. - steak fries were hot but a bit soggy; part of the reason I wanted an open tray so fries doesn't get steamed inside the plastic bag. I don't know how long the food was in the bag before my name got called. I could have asked for fresher ones but too many people and I was so hungry, didn't want to wait any longer. - I ordered the classic cheese steak with American cheese, grilled onions and sweet peppers; I specifically asked for no hot peppers. I got hot peppers. Luckily they weren't too spicy! The bread was soggy. Again, I don't know how long it was in the plastic bag before my name got called. - did I enjoy my meal? Hell yeah I did! So excited that this place has opened up in Pacifica! Went on a Sunday around lunch time and they were pretty busy which for those following us meant about a 15 minute wait (use the app to order in advance if time is a concern). The owner was at the register and asked if we were local. When we said we were, he enthusiastically introduced himself. We ordered a 1/2 classic philly, 1/2 western, and curly fries. Note they have 3 sizes - Half, Large or King. The wait was less than 10 minutes (we dined in). I've been pretty spoiled with Jersey Joe's in Half Moon Bay so was curious how a similar franchised spot would translate this classic indulgence and let me just say we were NOT disappointed! Everything about our order was followed and the sandwiches were delicious! The bread super tasty, hot peppers the perfect amount of heat & pickle. Curly fries were very tasty too, with a little kick to them. They have decent amount of indoor seating, nice decor and lighting. Two TVs to watch the games. No sound on TVs but nice piped in music. A help-yourself area for napkins, extra paper bowl thingys, and packets of yellow mustard, Crystal hot sauce and ketchup. The staff seemed to be pretty comfortable with their tasks and were very accommodating when folks came to the counter for any extras (cheese sauce, fork, etc.). You have to request plastic cutlery. I also like that you can see the kitchen when they are making your food. All in all, we WILL be back and soon (much to the angst of my fitness trainer - HAHA). Pretty great sandwiches! We usually go to the SF one so we are happy this one is much closer. We went on their second full day of being open and they were obviously still working out the kinks. Have been here four or five times since it opened and this last visit was the best so far so I think they are finally hitting their stride. I got the King Philly with American cheese & fried onions (American wit). It's worth the extra $4 than the regular large, makes it more on par with John's RP & Angelo's in Philly. They have Amoroso rolls shipped in which used to be the PA gold standard (now it's Liscio's or Angelo's seeded) but they are still better than the hoagie rolls out here, no offense. They cut it wallet style like it should be instead of fully cutting it in half too; very rare to get that in the peninsula other than Jake's. It's not fresh shaved ribeye but is still very flavorful. Employees are very friendly when picking up as well. They just need a cherry soda on tap and a self serve pickle/pepper/condiment bar to be close to the real thing! As a 30 year Philadelphia area resident this is the real deal if you keep it simple. Haven't had the bbq or Gilroy garlic steaks or anything fancy.
