It's very disappointing to see that this is what a quality sandwich looks like. For a king extra meat and cheese is part of the deal however upon recieving our sandwiches, that was not the case. The meat is extreamly dry, with no cheese in site. When I called to ask for a refund I was met with " I made it myself, I put cheese" then this shows the quality of the sandwich as well as the value is extreamly poor. When I asked for a refund I needed to return to the restaurant to "prove" that the sandwich has no cheese. Super disappointing considering the already unpleasant experience. Went in today to get dinner after a long day at work. A guy walked in ready to work not even 30 min later a customer complained to much season on his fries the guy said sorry and he will remake the fries the customer seemed to get upset the worker tried explaining something to him. But the customer started raising his voice a young lady took over to help the situation. I can see she was very calm. It made me uncomfortable that he walked in and out the store multiple times. I then continue to eat i look up and see HIS OWN MOTHER putting a fry under his chair and started taking photos. Personally they could have just left. By then the security guard walked in. I tried my best to not get involved. Customer kept trying to get the last name of the guy but he respectfully says I can give you my first name. By then he started calling the workers out there name. Had a cheesesteak craving tonight, and this one is the closest to the house. I don't eat here often, but when a craving hits... I had the Motown Philly, with steak, mushrooms, onions, American cheese. Kind of bland. It's always my go to, but this one didn't hit the spot. Girlfriend had the deluxe, with chicken, xtra cheese. Same thing...bland. And dry. Plus we ordered the sweet potato fries. Cold. My order was supposed to be ready between 6:15-6:40. I got there at 6:05. It's a 5 minute drive home, and my food was cold? 5 minutes before 8:00 I went to use the restroom and I was told I was not allowed to use it because they close it at 8:00 and I showed the lady who did not speak very well English it was before 8. They told me I couldn't use it because the floor and walls were wet. I asked for the manager and the manager said she would get fired if I went in there. Came in for lunch on 5/22 around 2:15 pm. There was NO ONE in line and about 3 guest waiting for thier food. Now I fully understand that at times business are short staffed but that was not the issue at this time. There were 3 ladies behind the counter and not one of them acknowledged me or told me that they would be right with me. One of the was cooking the food so I didn't expect her to say anything or take my order but the other two ladies should have said something. One of the ladies was just walking around in the back while the other one I assume was waiting on the food to be completed so she can bag the food. I wait for about 10 minutes before finally the lady that was bagging the food took my order. It's ridiculous just how bad customer service has dropped in the food industry. Friday last week I came in for a large garlic with provolone cheese. For the 3rd time in a row I was given American cheese. This didn't much bother me.. until I called to let them know they made it wrong and the team leader manager instantly told me it's provolone and that they did not make a mistake. I can see and taste the wrong cheese. She had no care in the world to give the right order. That's not good customer service not even decent customer service. I went back in today to exchange the sandwich for the right one. After arriving and speaking to a cashier who was very kind, the same team leader I spoke to Friday then approached me at the cashier counter still being combative. Telling me she's not sure what kind of cheese it is now and that since I had a few bites she could only give me half a sandwich. Load of crap. I'll never be back there and what's comical is she told me I'm not allowed back there. I hope corporate has a hay day with this terrible location. Worst in the Bay Area. I only stop here when commuting home. What a mistake I made doing that. I wasn't really hungry so I just ordered their sweet potato fries! It came to me hot and fresh. I ordered a large (I wasn't sure how big the serving was) and it was enough for two. They were good. They get three stars because the fries were good but service ....eh!!! I wasn't greeted even though I stood right in front of the cashier. She was busy fussing with something but a quick "hello I'll be right with you" would've been ok. Then when she was ready to take my order she still didn't say hi and looked irritated as if I was bothering her. I can finally write an updated review. I've actually been to many of their locations before. My husband introduced me to this place years ago when we were dating. I grew to love it, just like he does. We always share the The King of Philly ($12). I love how the softness of the bread, the creaminess of the cheese, the acidity of the peppers, and the meat, all complement each other so well. The flavors are all there. BOY!! I don't know what happened yesterday, but we pulled in there around 4:30pm, there was only one customer in front of us. We placed our order of 2 sandwiches, and an order of chips. We stood there waiting probably 30 minutes!! They weren't really that busy, and they had 3 people working. One guy was cooking, one girl was prepping the sandwiches, and making the chips, and the manager was on the register. I was disappointed to find that they took the Garlic Fries off the menu but it wasn't a deal breaker to not order because the most important thing is in fact the Cheesesteak Sandwich. Ordering a 6" use to be fine but oh not anymore! Ordering a 6" in actually ordering a miniature hoagie sandwich that is absolutely a joke to what it use to be and the price that they charge. The changes that have been implemented are an absolute money grab for the owner. Order a regular size drink it's actually a small cup that you get at any fast food restaurant - the large cup is actually a medium.
