Haven't been to TCF for a long time so decided to give it a try, would not come back again. This review focuses on food quality: 1. The brown bread was terrible even though it was freshly made, no bread smell or taste. The white bread was basically fake sourdough. 2. The Louisiana chicken pasta sauce literally tasted like peppered water, the chef apparently said it tasted just how it should be just missing a little salt. 3. Pasta Da Vinci was edible, still under-seasoned. 4. Here's why: they have Valet Parking during the busiest shopping days at the mall; they have the Rotunda for the best dining experience; they have the best consistent waiters & waitresses, who's served us for at least 5 years with consistent service experience. The food selections are always tops and the best. We've visited here over 20 times and never disappointed; we've dined with our friends & families, they are always impressed. Haven't been here in a really long time and loved it!! We sat outside which it was actually not too hot! There were ceiling fans and a nice breeze. The ambiance outside on the patio was also really cool, made me feel like I was somewhere else (not in Houston). It was covered. I wanted pasta but we remembered that one of the Cajun type pastas was somewhat disappointing last time so we were nervous to try again. We just got apps and they were great. Bread is always good. The baked Brie was ok. The mac and cheese balls were so good - the sauce was fantastic- I would love a pasta with that sauce on it. The meatball sliders and shrimp were great loved the sauce the shrimp came with. Cheesecake was as expected - awesome. Service was good- super friendly and attentive. Calamari still solid 4/5 - can't really go wrong with this one. Tried the warm crab and artichoke dip (5/5) and was pleasantly surprised. Again not the healthiest item on the menu but really enjoyed it. Also got the house made meatballs (5/5) and would order again. Any one of these could be a meal in itself. 3 was definitely indulgent but it left me lunch for a few days. Didn't get cheesecake this time but having had it multiple times... also pretty good. This is from someone who doesn't usually like cheesecake. The lemon raspberry is my go-to. But my indulge pick is the black-out cake... I don't know who changed the recipes, but change them back. I have been getting the same meal from the cheesecake factory for over a decade. I always get the bistro shrimp pasta, and it always taste delightful and more importantly tastes the same each time. Today there was truly no flavor. The breading was coming off of the shrimp. There was no lemon flavor. And honestly, I'm uncomfortable sending food back because I know that kitchen workers are not paid well enough to care. My margarita was way too sweet. Came in on May 30 to celebrate my brother's graduation. Everyone at our table got their food--except me. I ordered the Steak Diane and never received it. My mom's husband got his steak, so the kitchen clearly wasn't closed like the server later claimed. I waited patiently, even left the table for a bit, hoping it would show up. Nothing. I also never got the Dr Pepper I ordered. When I finally asked about my meal, the server acted confused and just offered me cheesecake. No real apology. I am giving this location only two stars - and I'm feeling generous here - because of the service at front of house. I had a party of six people for a birthday celebration and we had a reservation for 1:30 PM. We arrived on time, but were told we would have to wait another 30 minutes or more because "our table" was still occupied by other people who "would not leave". During this entire time, multiple other groups of people - including parties of 5 (which would be getting the same size table as us) - who did NOT have reservations were seated before we were. The hostess was asked several times about this, and she had reasons that did not make a whole lot of sense, since we had a reservation and they did not. Why have reservations if you're not going to honor them? This gets worse. Once we were finally seated, the manager came over to ask how everything was, and the whole situation was explained to him. He said he would talk to the hostess to find out what had happened. That was the last we saw of him. No further explanation or apology. I suspect he was overwhelmed by the apparent disorder there - perhaps we were not the only ones not being served properly. I have serious doubts I'd revisit this location anytime soon, as there are quite a few other restaurants nearby where I know I'd get better service. read more

Well, the waitress gave me attitude, she said, "it was late and I was lucky I got whipped cream." I didn't know service depends on the time of day/night. I guess my tip should also depend on time. She didn't even say anything before she served the cheesecake to me about not giving me what I ordered. On the menu it states there are fresh bananas. What if you ordered the steak Diana and there was no beef because it's late, is that ok? Definitely overhyped restaurant. We came on a Sunday evening at 8:30 PM so it was not crowded at all. We were seated probably and served promptly. We ordered the fried calamari and Texas egg-rolls, which after a few minutes our server came back and said they no longer had Texas egg rolls so I ordered the Thai chicken lettuce wraps. We literally waited for our food for about 20 minutes just for two appetizers. While we were waiting, I did notice that the silverware placed on the tables were dirty. There were spots on them, so I did not use it at all. Finally when our food came out, I was a little shocked that we had to wait 20 minutes. For my entree, I ordered the Thai lettuce wrap with grilled avocado and for dessert, the lemon meringue cheesecake. It was my first time trying the wrap with avocado. The sauces provided were just enough and the flavors were paired really well. Louisiana Chicken Pasta - I didn't know what to order as I have heard the main dishes are either a hit or miss, mainly I heard of the missed so I wanted to play it safe. I asked the waitress and she recommended some things, Then I came across one of the reviews that recommended the Louisiana Chicken Pasta w/ a side of Alfredo Sauce. She was right, the reviewer was right the pasta was creamier once I added the Alfredo so it made for a good experience. The Parmesan crusted chicken was good but I believe when creating the crust it needs a little salt as you can tell that portion wasn't added. I'd give my dish a 4/5. Baja Chicken Taco - My husband played it safe as well. He ordered the chicken Taco. He'd rate his dish a 3/5. He felt the chicken was a little dry and lacked flavor. He felt the rice had a little too much texture but it's a simple fix of cooking longer. He also felt the price for the taco didn't match his experience. Service: Our waitress was on point. Friday dinner with some friends. Cheesecake Factory is well known for their reputation for long wait times, both for a table and long wait times for the food to come out. The bread is such a filler but it's so good. Ever experience a server who is just trying their best but really missed the marker? Especially timing, our server came by and checked on us but picked all the wrong times. She wasn't attentive and aware to our crowded table filled with empty plates that could've been cleared out, and straw paper and dirty napkins that could've been cleared as well. Food took FOREVER to come out, but not surprised... What was surprising is getting an appetizer that took a really long time to come out. Everyone else at their table got their food, and by the time I got mine, everyone was practically done. I genuinely don't know how long I waited, but I waited way too long for an appetizer. The best part of the evening was my pineapple mock tail spritzer. I ordered the roadside sliders that truly embodied its name. It literally looked like it was picked up by the road side and put onto a plate. Came over cooked, slightly burnt, and cold meat patties...they forgot to put on the grilled onions and forgot my order of fries on top of bringing it out late!!
