I don't normally shop at The Children's Place but I was in desperate need of school uniforms and I couldn't find any store that had some in stock at this time since it's not the beginning of the school year/sem. I saw they had a very limited selection at their toddler section in-store compared to their online site. I signed up for their rewards to get points and some discounts. When I arrived they were already having a 30% off sale. I was greeted when I entered. There were so many clothes boy and girls and somewhat organized. I only came for one thing so I went straight to the location and thankfully saw 2outfits and a pair of shoes in my daughter's size. I was also happy that I got them at discounted price because I don't think I would have paid full price on the items. Love the materials of the school uniform skorts and shirts they are so cute too. I did order online after seeing what size would fit her best in-store. But definitely wished they had more options in stores for the toddler girls sections so I wouldn't have to wait on shipping. read more

The clothes are cute here and they usually always have a sale. The quality of clothes are just ok. I don't think they are true to size though. My 10 year old cannot wear a size 10/12 here. They are way too tight. She has wear size 14! Where a size 14 is way too big at other stores. She is still able to fit size 10-12 everywhere else. Staff are ok. Usually busy talking amongst each other. Sometimes we get greeted at the front sometimes we don't. We have never been asked if we need help finding something or a size. Maybe they just don't do that here. read more

I purchased five pairs of boys pants at Shoppes @ Riverpark, Fresno California Chikdren's Pkace Store. When I got back to my hotel only 4 pairs of pants made it into the bag. I took the bag and receipt back, the staff made me wait for 40 minutes while they searched camera recordings of purchases made during Black Friday. After making me wait for an outrageous period of time, they claimed that all items were placed in the bag, however, they would not allow me to review it as well to make sure they were reviewing correctly. I had gone straight from the store to my car, to my hotel and had no opportunity to misplace the item. Children's Place is this how you treat your customers? I had made a significant purchase, had been a regular shopper at this store and this is how you treat customers? Make them wait 40 minutes to review cameras for a single pair of boys pants? Any other decent retail store would have replaced the pants no questions asked. This is the level of service I have experienced at other establishments who actually care about their customers. I will never be shopping here again and will be sure to post this same this same review on all social media channels. read more

Bought a pair of shoes online wrong size. Try to return 2 days out of their 45 day window and wouldn't return. Never been worn and item didn't arrive until a week later from purchase date! Very disappointed because these are for Christmas dress. read more

Associates were polite but wouldn't allow an exchange ONE DAY late even for a different polo since the one I bought was itchy and runs small (never worn tags attached). They really should make these small exchanges since they wouldn't have been out of money and kept a customer. I don't believe this is the associates fault but company policy that needs to be changed. read more

I called the children's place (1800) number and was told for me to contact UPS and deal with it with UPS; childrensplace.com did not want to take responsibility to resolve this issue. I urge parents and all potential customers that plan to purchase online to be very cautious and aware about placing any orders online. childrensplace.com will NOT investigate and accommodate their customers if your item does not reach your destinatio. Even though this place is often chaotic (because people have a very loose idea of parental supervision), the cute clothes and deals are worth it. Just yesterday, we got three tops for my little girl for $3 apiece. Cute stuff. Also, the staff is super-friendly. Our cashier indulged our daughter as she was randomly naming all the animals that she saw on the clothing in the store, and she was sweet to her. read more

I would give them 0 stars but it won't allow it. Every experience at this store is horrible. Example today. I waited in line for 10 mins, got to the cashier, just to pick up 3 store pick up orders. The girl working turned to the other and asked her if she knew how to process a store pick up. She finally went to the back to retrieve them and came back with only 2. Couldn't find the other one. Asked me multiple times if I'm sure it was ready to pick up. I showed her my email multiple times. Finally I just said forget that order I don't even want it. Just let me pick up these 2 and leave. They still kept trying to figure out the 3rd order. The girl didn't even know how to log into her cash register... it took me 30 minutes to pick up my orders. Meanwhile there is a line of 10 people behind me... Worst customer service ever! read more

This place is horrible!! Their return policy is a joke if you buy online to pick up in the store it takes weeks and then you only get 45 days from the date you ordered! And if you try to go in a few days after to return they won't let you even do store credit and it was only like 3 items on a $200 dollar order! I really enjoy shopping at this Children's Place location in River Park, the staff for the most part is very friendly and helpful. Especially in comparison to my recent visit at the Children's Place in the Fashion Fair mall, very unhappy employees there. The only complaint I do have at the River Park location is the checkout can sometimes be a wait. All in all though customer service is usually great here and deserving of five stars. Came here during there hectic place cash sale last week and despite the business of the store, the employees were calm, collected and most importantly friendly and on task. read more

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE for instore pickup from this Riverpark store. I should have checked the reviews but was blinded by the sale price. I waited in line for 8 minutes before getting towards the front of the line where 2 cashiers were working, once I was next, the cashier says nothing, grabs an empty bag and proceeds to wonder around for about 10 minutes leaving a single cashier to tend to the line. I finally find an employee on the floor not afraid to come near the line of customers and mention that I just needed to pickup my online order. Long story short, over 20 minutes of standing in line, 3 employees unsuccessfully logging into the system, a long call to the IT dept to try to unlock the program, they ask to talk to the supervisor who is finally notified about the problem and is instantly able to login without assistance from IT. This was by far my worst instore pickup experience and I've had my share. read more

They're customer service SUCK very poor! The girl helping me on her ear piece asked her manager if she wanted her to stay or to clock out because she's off. We were regular customers shopping here but never again. Our daughter received some clothes this past Christmas as gifts. One item was against her school dress code and the other just not her style. Never worn, tags still attached but we were were told that return policy only allows to get the same item different size. No exceptions and they didn't want to hear it. I work retail and there are exceptions that can be made in certain cases. It's not like we were taking advantage of their policies or work the system. Just wanted to exchange for something different or get store credit. Horrible return policies. Terrible customer service. We will be taking our business from now on to Justice across the way. Its a little more expensive but this bad experience drew a line in the sand for us. It's unfortunate because we enjoyed shopping for kids clothes there but we won't be going back. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE! Worst company and customer service. Waited in line for over 10 min while another rep reviewed her clipboard without even acknowledging the customers in line. Then because I was doing a return without a receipt I was referred to the one with a clipboard. This company has the most absurd return/exchange policy ever - without a gift receipt they can only exchange for size!!!! So if you don't like the gift you're basically stuck. Also, if you don't like your job or just unable to provide a certain level of service you should find another job (this advice goes to both ladies working today, the impression received in the 15 min I was able to observe was a very poor one). The Children's Place, River Park, Fresno, CA. Today, Nov. 13, 2015 I went to the store to return an item I bought for my son, which was too small. The correct size was available, but not in the original color I purchased, so I picked another color in the correct size - he's 4 years old and growing. The person at the counter said that she would not give me the same price on the replacement even though the price tag was the same price because the replacement was a different color. She said it would cost $6 extra to make the exchange. I refused to purchase the item and took the full credit instead. That store will never see me again and I'm not sure The Children's Store at any other location will see me again either. The line was long with one person working the cash out, with another associate talking on the phone and another walking around even though there were quite a few customers including me waiting on line to check out. There must be something systemically wrong with a company that allows its customers to be treated this way. You would never see something like this happen at Costco and most other stores I frequent and I do have a choice where to shop - it won't be here! read more
