Mexican Buffet We came for Saturday dinner and there was no wait time. When you first enter the building, there is a small lobby with a "Wait to Be Seated" sign. However, the host is also working as the side cook, so make sure you walk past the lobby far enough for them to see that you are there waiting to be seated. A guy quickly came over, walked us to our table, and explained how the buffet works. You order your drinks first, and then you can go to the food line. Some items, such as chile rellenos, chimichangas, and the hot dogs, take less than five minutes to prepare, and they will bring them to your table. Other dishes, like mole, pipián, and several other options, are available right away. They serve the food for you, and you can go back as many times as you want. You can also ask for rice and beans. I got the pipián, and I really liked it. I only asked for rice and no beans, but I ended up getting beans as well. On my second plate, I got flautas and asked for a side of rice, but it never came, so I had to go ask again. For my third plate, I got carnitas, but they didn't come with anything, so I had to ask for tortillas, onion, cilantro, and salsa. The waitresses were nice, but they may be new because they seemed to be having some trouble organizing the orders and getting everything out correctly. One suggestion I would make is for the mole. If I were them, I would serve the meat off the bone. That way, they could give smaller portions with each serving and reduce waste. In my case, eating a whole chicken leg is too much, especially at a buffet. If someone wants more meat, they can always ask for another serving. Overall, I liked all the food I tried. For the mole, though, I wish they would add a pinch of sesame seeds. I think that would make it taste more authentic and add a little more flavor. I would also suggest adding Mexican drinks like Topo Chico or Jarritos unflavored sparkling water or club soda. I think those would be a great addition to the buffet. read more

You get what you pay for. It's a $20 all-you-can-eat buffet, but the space felt dark and lifeless, and the service wasn't very welcoming. They ask what you want to drink but don't mention that it's an extra $3 and not included with the buffet. I ordered a horchata, and it tasted like powdered mix--definitely not fresh and honestly pretty awful. If you're going to charge extra for a drink, at least make it fresh and worth it. The food itself was mediocre, and some of it was pretty dry. For around $26 total for food and a drink, I'd rather go to a legit taqueria or taco truck and get better flavor, better quality, and more for my money. Next time, I'll pass. read more

This place was so delicious. It is run a bit different than a normal buffet you do go to towards the kitchen in order to place your order and they do bring it to you. But it's unlimited. They have soups and all kinds of different Mexican food and different specials each day. I'm so stuffed and I felt everything tasted delicious. I saw a review someone mentioned that the food is microwaved or they microwave personally I didn't see a microwave, but I also wasn't looking and it tasted good did not taste microwave to me. The carne asada tasted delicious. Honestly I think this place is amazing and can definitely come back again. I remember driving by the old metro center and seeing this place and thinking man this place sounds great. I just never had the chance to stop by. I found myself starving, exhausted from a day at the Mayo Clinic and ready to eat. The lightbulb in my head came on and I remembered this place. I drove on by and I was so happy to see it was still there. Walking in I was immediately seated. The staff gave me a rundown on how it goes. The selection was pretty stellar. I started with the rolled tacos and the enchiladas. Along with it I got this creamy green chili chicken. I took the first bite it was love at first bite. The rolled tacos were my favorite. Those bad boys fully loaded with awesomeness just blew me away. I loaded up on those bad boys to finish up the tank. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed the food. First ever Mexican food buffet, and it was an amazing experience!! The food was phenomenal, the beans and rice, the shrimp tacos, the flautas, the green chicken enchiladas, the guacamole, and the churros. We were very happy with almost everything we ordered. I also love that it is smaller portions because we were able to try lots of different things, but we were also able to get a lot at once if we wanted to. The service was excellent. They were so friendly and helpful and the environment was wonderful for children. After My kids finished, they were able to play comfortably (on the couch with dominos) and we were able to finish our meal peacefully. Definitely would recommend. Okay, yes you do "order" as you go but it's worth it if you want authentic grandma kitchen Mexican food! The server explains to you that the ordering system is like "chipotle/Panda Express" where you walk up to the hot well station and ask for what you want on your plate. For items that are on the hot well station you will get your plate right away. For some items in the back, you'll be asked to take a seat and it will be brought out to you. Kid you not, the dishes were better than some of my grandmas food. I went on taco Thursday and they did not skimp on the taco meat! The tripa tacos were better than some I've had at taco boys! Well. I have to say the waitress was soooo sweet. She tried to take care of everyone. The $20 charge for All-you-can-eat was not worth it. It's a strange area and somewhat run down shopping mall. The dj played music videos and offered karaoke. We were promptly greeted by a bubbly young woman who proceeded to explain the concept. The buffet is $20 and is served cafeteria style with a special of the day being cooked to order. We went on a Sunday and Shrimp Diablo was the special. The shrimp were large. Other offerings included cochinita pibil, birria, Chile renos, chicken mole and pazole. The plates came with rice and beans. They also make churros for desert. I came because of the advertisement of being a Mexican buffet. I came on a Sunday at 11 o'clock and to my surprise, I walked in and was the only person in the restaurant on top of that. There wasn't a single buffet table open or to the offer. I have looked and looked, and I am not finding when they actually have the buffet. I couldn't think of a better day to have the buffet going as on a Sunday brunch.. I ordered the Chilaquiles with red sauce. They weren't bad.. I like mine a little crunchy and not so soggy. But the flavor was decent.. I have no recommendations on whether or not one should come here or not come here, but it was a very eerie feeling being the only one inside the restaurant being served that is usually not a good sign. read more

Everything served on Styrofoam plates. We tried a little of as much as we could. Posole very tasty, refried beans were fresh and the rice was moist and delicious not like all others are usually dry. Had pork in from the oven kinda sweet tasting but very good with what taste like fresh made corn tortillas. I had the quesabirria tacos and they were huge and full of flavor.
