Yes! These employees and their food are a home run! We were greeted at the door, one of our party is in a wheelchair and the young lady held the door and then patiently waited while we made it to our table The food was delish. The deviled egg appetizer was tasty. For dinner, I had a chopped steak, others had a pasta dish. Another had a dinner salad, the remaining guests had different fish. ALL were served hot and cooked to perfection. Dessert was a special treat. Try the homemade ice cream! One suggestion for improvement? Additional handicapped parking, or maybe add a ramp on the take-out side? Getting a full grown man in his wheelchair up to the door was a little bit of a challenge. The exception is the filling tamale cakes: about as expensive as a main, these get flavor from the pico de gallo and crema. I would have liked detectable cilantro and some jalapeños in the pico. If you're stuck in extreme cold weather or have a small appetite and like bland food with the willingness to pay the prices, then this is for you. read more

Hands down one of the best experiences at a restaurant yet! Hannah was our server and that chick was so amazing! She made sure that we were well cared for, had our drinks filled before we even finished half and made sure that we had enough bread, butter and that our food, which by the way came out faster than expected was perfect and that we weren't needing anything else. The restaurant Manager walked around to each table checking in on everyone and made sure everyone was happy and well cared for. The restaurant is so beautiful, clean, comfortable and romantic. Came here for our anniversary lunch right when they opened up. Got seated right away and our drinks came out quickly. We ordered off the lunch menu I got the pork chops and my husband got the fried chicken both plates came out with good portions and we also got a deviled egg appetizer and side salads that were also good sized. The food all had great flavor, and came out in a good order rotation so you had plenty of time to finish each item before the next came out. Food portions are very good for the price. Staff was friendly and quick with refills and checking on you through out your meal. Plenty place to park but this place does get busy so prepare for that especially on the weekends. Only wish we hadn't gotten so full to have tried dessert...maybe next time. We will for sure be back again probably for our birthdays as they are coming up soon. read more

This place is probably the slowest restaurant in Murfreesboro. I'm really tired of wasting my time waiting for orders here. I do not recommend anyone go here because they cannot get their to go service in order, and a lot of people are rude or dismissive that work here. You will just be standing there waiting for an order and nobody will help you. If someone does acknowledge you, it's to ask you to move to a different place. I cannot for the life of me understand why orders take 20 plus minutes past the pick up time. They need to fix their to go service and pick up times. Apparently this restaurant likes to waste people's time for some reason. I understand waiting some, but it's absolutely ridiculous. The only one there that seems professional is this one manager who is probably in his 40's or early 50's. I used to eat here about once a month, but stopped. I'm definitely not going back again after how terrible it's ran! read more

The Chophouse is awesome. I always come here when traveling for work. I was greeted when upon entering the establishment and promptly seated. They have remodeled the interior and it's much brighter. I ordered the brown sugar deviled eggs as an appetizer. They are awesome, a wonderful combination of sweet, salty, and creamy. My waiter was very attentive to my order. The manager also comes thru and checks on you while dining. The courteous staff is remarkable. I ordered the 14oz ribeye with potato and salad. It was cooked to a perfect medium well plus. It was moist and flavorful. Most definitely will be returning. read more

Amazing food. Made a reservation, it was a good thing that we did because the wait was 1.5 hours at 4:45 on a Saturday. Service was excellent. I don't remember the waitress name (I'm sorry) but she was excellent. We started with an appetizer of shrimp and crab cake. It was amazing. For the entree I ordered a Delmonico ribeye with a fully loaded baked potato and corn crème brûlée. My wife ordered lamb chops with Parmigiana creamed spinach. She also had the clam chowder. Everything was delicious. The steak was possibly the best that I have ever had. Cooked perfectly. The corn crème brûlée was delicious. I had never had anything like that before and I loved it. My wife said that the lamb chops were delicious as was the creamed spinach. We will definitely go back. read more

Loved this restaurant! When we arrived, without a reservation, they indicated that we'd have a 45-minute wait. Surprisingly, it was more like 30-minutes. Levi was our server and was extra nice. Our food came out quickly and was delicious! The ribeye steak was tender and full of flavor. The strawberry cheesecake ice cream was great - although it tasted more like just strawberry (since there were no chunks of cheesecake at all) ... but surely the best strawberry ice cream I've tasted. First time visiting a CHOP HOUSE location. I went based on a recommendation of a stranger ... & so glad I did. I went for the catch of day ... Parmesan crusted Halibut. My coworker had the beef tenderloins. (I was surprised at the size of the tenderloins, they didn't skimp). Service was great, thanks to Cole. Easily some of the finest dining in Murfreesboro! We have eaten here numerous times, but I wanted to finally add a review. The food is excellent, every single dish. Service is pretty fast if you go early or late like we do. My ribeye was fall-apart tender, thick and buttery, but not too salty or overly seasoned like the ones I have had at other restaurants. Great salads, terrific appetizers and desserts. The only fault I found is with the people. Hostesses are consistently rude and unfriendly. Waitstaff is chatty but slightly on the unprofessional side. I don't really mind, but it would be nice if the people at The Chop House matched the food in excellence and taste. read more

Name of the game here: INCONSISTENCY. The wife and I went about 3 weeks ago (July '21) and had amazing experience. Food was incredible, service was on point, and we couldn't wait to get back again. It was so good, in fact, that we decided we'd drive all the way back for our anniversary a few weeks later to celebrate. Fast forward a few weeks. We made a reservation, noted on OpenTable that we were celebrating our anniversary, and even requested the same server since he was so friendly and attentive last time. The night started off fine - app came out fast and was tasty (Chicken Pizza Florentine) though horribly cut and hard to pick up and eat. After that, it was relatively downhill. It took 30 minutes to get a salad. My wife's steak came out, I kid you not, completely burnt (last time ordered medium and it was medium rare so tried medium well this time, and it was charred beyond recognition as a piece of meat). The "manager on duty" came by to tell us they would get started immediately on a re-fire and have it out quickly. It took so long to get the correct cook on the steak that I had pretty much finished my entire dinner, even with trying to eat slowly so as to allow my wife and I to have dinner AT THE SAME TIME on our anniversary. When her replacement steak did finally come out, it was at least correctly cooked, but then she was full from the appetizer, bread and cocktail and from sitting so long that she didn't even end up wanting to eat much of it. As for the food: I ordered what I got the last time, which was the 14oz ribeye. The first time I got it, it was literally the single best ribeye I have ever eaten in my entire life. Last night's ribeye was hard, overly fatty, dried out, and as flavorless as a sirloin left in the fridge too long. I ordered the corn creme brulee and steamed broccoli as sides. The broccoli was cooked well, but was a bit wilty and possibly only a day away from going bad. However, the real offender of the evening was the corn creme brulee. Holy moly was that thing TOO sweet. I suppose, having never had their corn creme brulee before, I didn't know what I was ordering, but I guessed that it would have been a nice take on a savory complement to a steak. It was so gross. Tasted like putting a fork full of sugar in my mouth after having a bite of (dry) steak. Not a good look. The wife's mac & cheese was decent. To their credit, they did offer a free celebratory dessert of ice cream and cake with caramel drizzle which was nice (even if the caramel itself was slightly overcooked and turned a tad bitter), but at that point we were ready to go. From the time the cake was dropped off, it was another full 20 minutes waiting on the check to arrive. As we had made plans and had already been there 2 hours at that point (for what should have been a 45 min to 1 hr experience), I got up from our table and had to go find our server and ask to pay so we could leave. He said he was waiting on the manager to take something off of the check and would be back very soon. He showed up a few minutes later with a check and nothing taken off. While I wasn't expecting anything comp'ed, since he was the one that offered that information, I sought a manager and asked what the deal was. She took our server aside and they talked out of my presence for several minutes. She returned to me and informed me that the bill was correct and she had no intention of taking anything off the check. Apparently he had to wait forever for her to "adjust" the bill because of the re-fire of my wife's burnt steak (that shouldn't have had anything to do with paying the final bill.) Overall, we were there for just slightly over 2 hours, spent $135 for an app, 2 entrees, and a couple of drinks from the bar. We feel we vastly overpaid for what was a sub-par meal and very sub par experience. As it is now the next morning, we're both also realizing something didn't sit well on either of our stomachs. Ultimately, we won't be back. They are TOO inconsistent, and the wait times and ambiguity of food quality is not worth the price or the wait. read more

This steakhouse is mid...it does not live up to its hype like it did before. Their prime rib is mid. I have had better at other chain restaurants. A little disappointing but service was ok and the ambiance was also ok. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE PREGNANT. Made a reservation to celebrate my birthday here with my family (party or 3) and I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant. I couldn't fit in the booth and so we asked if they could accommodate shifting us to a table. The hostess noted the booths are really small so clearly we aren't the first to address this. We figured there would be a wait but our hostess said they'd give us an update on table availability. 30 min later we checked in and they said they wouldn't be able to seat up for an hour and a half. If we hadn't checked, they would've let us sit there for nearly 2 hours. For a restaurant that prides itself on being "family friendly", this was such atrocious front of house handling. Avoid if you are pregnant -- or if you are plus size. read more

We've visited Chop House a handful of times. We always sit at the bar (we have just been lucky to get 2 seats) because there is always a wait. Bar service has always been outstanding. They are very attentive. This time, we made a reservation and sat in the restaurant. The deviled eggs with candy bacon were delicious. You get a total of 6, which is great compared to others who only serve 4. Hubs had the prime rib. Looked a bit too pink, but he said it was good. I had an appetizer, but it was 4 large shrimp, a crab cake and some pasta. It was phenomenal. Its unlikely that I will ever order anything different when we visit again. It was SO good. I honestly love Chop House when ever I visit but today was not the best. Maybe because our server said she was new things turned out just meh!! So what happened... I orderEd the 7 oz lunch steak with baked potato and added a side salad. I asked for no nuts or cheese on the salad or cheese on the baked potato. The first salad had nuts. Then when she corrected she put cheese on it. She returned with a 3rd salad but really it was just the 2nd salad and she removed the cheese. I still had cheese in the salad. ( I refused to say something). Then baked potato had sour cream on it which she had not mentioned when ordering. I asked the server who delimit was it sour cream and she responded no, it's butter. It wasn't butter - when corrected she added cheese. The third potato was finally correct. Steak was well done but asked for medium well leaning towards medium. At this point, it was pointless to say anything and I ate my steak. But I've had much better service and food (hence why I left 3 stars). My mom ordered the turkey, dressing, sweet potato, corn cream brûlée, and cranberry sauce. She really enjoyed her meal. Hopefully next time, our server won't be new and will slow down and listen. read more

Absolutely delish! Great cuts of meat, you get high quality here- and you will pay for it! The service is also mind blowingly amazing. I am super impressed with how much the servers knew about the cuts of meat and so on. It's a little dark inside, but I guess people like that- i would lighten it up a bit, so it didn't feel kind of gloomy. Oh- our server was great with our kids- we are a family of 6 so i always feel bad and k know servers never wanna take tables with families or kids, so we always tip REALLY well- but even before all that our server was talking with our kids, including them- she even told my daughter about she was impressed with her ordering her steak rare. read more

I've eaten at the Chop House in Knoxville several times and also at the Sevierville location in the outlet mall. The food is consistently good at both locations (as are the cocktails) and the prices are unbeatable. I highly recommend the lunch specials with an impressive variety of great options for picky eaters. Everything from salads and burgers to crab cakes to a traditional (and delicious!) turkey dinner. Something for everyone and the prices are excellent for the quality. Servers are attentive, even during the busy times and when something is wrong with an order, they make it right without hesitation. My friend got the wrong drink during one of our meals there and the server (who was also doubling as the bartender since the restaurant was short staffed) corrected the mistake immediately and brought the right drink. The ambience is good but sometimes the restaurant can be loud at both locations during the lunch time rush AND there seems to be a shortage of servers every time I've been, which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. When I need to choose a good restaurant to take a friend or family member, the Chop House is always number 1 on my list. If you choose the Knoxville Chop House, check out the local shopping. After checking in it felt it was taking a little long and the kind folks at the hostess stand said the quiet part out loud, this restaurant is now double booking reservations by taking phone in and open table bookings. This is the second time this has happened to us here at this place. If you have the choice, go to Firebirds across town, much better food and your reservation is secure. I knew I was getting ready to enjoy great service and a great meal... but boy was I WRONG! Welp, what do I always say... consistency is key! The deviled eggs I once raved about were super runny, and not appetizing. The service I once raved about was a total let down. My waitress treated me as if I was a bother to her, yet I never once asked her for anything outside of ordering my meal. I was so confused by this? She even left me without water. Yup, I guess she felt like there was a one glass max for me! That was until she brought my check. Then she filled up my glass. Obviously that was her moment to say... I still want my tip! She left my pile up of dishes sitting to the side of my table for I can't tell you how long. It's been a long time since I've been to a Chop House location. The service was pretty good at this location. The waiter put forth a decent effort. My wife and I are following a low carb plan and we specifically asked about options for this and how things were made. The waiter was not well informed in this area but made several trips to ask the kitchen about ingredients. He missed some in some areas, but he did try. The food was good, but not great. My wife's steak was overcooked and in this era of covid we have tended to offer far more grace for wrongly cooked meats. The steaks lacked seasoning and flavor. We both tried the chili and deviled eggs for sides-the chili was made with steak which was a plus, but loaded with beans (not low carb friendly) which we had specifically asked about, but the flavor was just average. We ended up packing the chili for our kids. Not what we expected for a steak house. The restaurant was mostly clean, although our booth was pretty dusty. They could definitely use some attention on the details. Overall not a bad experience, but definitely didn't live up to our expectations. read more
