I was able to get an appointment right away with Mario. My regular barber of 20plus years has been seriously sick for the past 3 months and I have been to a few other places and was either disappointed with the haircut and the lack of simple service. They advertise to take walk-ins, but the past two times my husband has gone in, nobody can ever take him. He would get his haircut here a few years back when barbers actually wanted to cut hair and make money. The barbers now always come across rude, unprofessional, and like they don't want to be there. This is the second time I have brought my son here, we walked out the first time as the barbers did not seem to want to take my son in for a haircut, not one greeted or asked or advised how long it will be, instead, we sat there for about 20 mins and ended up leaving, fast forward 2 years later - last minute in town visiting family and our son needed a haircut. My son told him what he was looking for, I then went over and re-iterated what he was looking for, DO NOT cut off his hair, especially the back. I leave and wait to allow my teenage son to get his haircut, he texts me and tells me he is done. As I walk in, my son is walking out with a very angry expression and a EDGAR looking haircut with a twist of Dumb and Dumber. I mean are you kidding me, what the hell. Nothing that was asked for, nothing that was explained was done. On top of that my son explains in the middle of the haircut the dude leaves to go eat. Damn tacos can wait Cesar! Totally messed up my son's hair. Worst haircut ever, he had to wear a hat to school. What the heck? This was on Wednesday Sept. 4 about 6pm. Whoever touched my boys hair should not be cutting anyone's hair. They did not follow his request. I can't even explain what this is, what style is this? Terribly uneven everywhere, weirdly shaped. Top so short but a long piece in front? I've never seen anything like it. Didn't even trim his sideburns correctly. $20 plus tip. Too embarrassed to say anything, he just got out of there as soon as he could. We usually go to Sportclips they do a much better job. Never going here again. Can't wait for it to grow out. When I walked in today I was greeted at the door and a few min later I sat down. Mike gave me the cut I didn't know I wanted until I saw it. He took his time to give me a clean cut look! My son is autistic and learning how to function in this world. He's been to this shop a couple of times, and somehow, whoever has cut his hair in the past and recently, left his hair too long. So, he finds himself going back to shop on the same day to ask if they could fix it. The attempt was fruitless. He went in a third & last time time, & they didn't have time for him. It was close to closing time. They told him to come back tomorrow, but informed him he would have to pay again for quick trim. They did such a sh¡tty job on cutting his hair. He's never had problems getting his hair cut at other shops. He asked me to go with him the last time, just for support & I didn't interfere. But, however, this really skinny guy that works there (not sure if he was a barber) got in my face and spoke to me as if I was stupid & daft. Just so f*cken rude. 1 star only because I HAD to select something. I called earlier in the day and was told I could bring my two boys at 5. Said that would be close so barber replied 5:30 would actually work out better. Arrived 5:25. I'll be right with you he said. We waited and waited while he did shop talk and "cut" someone's hair. My first son was finally sat at 6:45. He was done at 7:30 and the fade he got was worse than one of my 1st Covid cuts I did on my boys as an amateur. He was then ready for my second son. We walked. Horrible service. The cut was worse. Every time I have walked in here I see people walk out upset. Either no one greets or says anything, people are out to lunch at the same time and just stare at you or someone sits in the waiting area and says they are not out to lunch, but just sits there with no other comment. I took my son for a haircut before flying out. I did not have an appointment but Braulio took him in right away. He took his time cutting his hair. Overall he was friendly and professional. I posted some pictures of him in the shop (before) and airplane (after). Parking: I drove east on Rowland ave and made a right on Second ave to park behind the shop. My barber Jose is dope but the protocol here is mad confusing. It's not clear if they allow for appointments or not. I mean, I've set one before. Yesterday, I came in and noticed a list for the first time. Then I saw the co-owner and other barbers take what I presume were walk in appointments. I sat through one too many haircuts before I decided to get up and leave without a haircut. I decided to try and set and appt for next day (today) but when I get in the co-owner is saying there's a list, no appointments. That's cool if that's the policy. That's wack if it's a sometimes policy. I'm open to paying more for a haircut by appointment. Apparently, I can't do it here. read more

I used to really like this place to the extent I would recommend their business to family and friends. But after a number of disappointing visits, I had enough. The turnover on barbers is too much, they can't seem to keep the same people working there for more than a month. Multiple times I've had a barber show up late to an appointment. One time it was very obvious whoever was cutting my hair was stoned, which I have nothing against weed as I partake myself, but to be high at a place of business so blatantly was in bad taste. Absolutely love this place, all the guys there had to go to the same school after getting their license, so they all kind of have the same style in cutting hair. Fading is their specialty, just sit down in any chair and they wont disappoint you. The only problem with that place is its busy all the time, and order isn't exactly their specialty, just try to talk to one of them to acknowledge your turn, then sign your name, and you should be fine. read more

Monday October 28th I walked into the shop at 1:50pm and was told everyone was going to lunch and would be back at 3:00pm. I said ok I'll be back around then. I showed back up at 3:20pm. The guy who told me they were going to lunch was sitting behind the counter eating his food. I then wondered WHAT WERE YOU DOING FOR THE LAST HOUR AND A HALF?? He then said one of the two guys busy cutting hair would be right with me this was at 3:30. I sit down and wait. An hour goes by. It's 4:30pm the guy behind the counter is done with his food and playing with his phone. Someone walks in and they say hello. And the guy proceeds to seat the new guy into a chair. I don't know if it's normal to shutdown a barber shop for everyone to take a lunch break only to return with your food and stink up the whole shop up with your food. But I know this is a perfect example of Unprofessionalism. I suggest the owner tighten the reigns of the shop employees or it's gonna go under like all the other "cool" barber shops in the area. read more

Different location, same problems. People skip the sign in sheet. Barbers are sitting in their chair taking breaks when other clients are sitting down waiting. I understand there are appointments but in myOpinion there should always be two barbers that are taking walk ins or else you'll lose customers. The hair cuts are average and the wait time is ridiculous. Literally 40-45 minutes per head.. it's one thing if the cut is mad detailed but a normal ass fade should be done quick IFFF you know what you're doing .... Made an appointment.. it was 35 minutes past my appmnt time and I'm still not getting cut.. why would I pay the extra 10$ if I'm basically a walk in at that point? read more
